Very easy to schedule. Pick up and drop off were seamless, however, our driver took it upon himself to discard a shopping bag I had left behind accidentally containing items from another country that were irreplaceable. I was upset to say the least. After several phone calls, finally getting a manager, they refunded a one-way trip for both of us which I feel was a fair way to rectify the issue. I would definitely use them again but I hope this will prevent something like this from happening to someone else. read more

I have been using Groome transportation for years. Do not know why this is the first time I've actually given a review today. I was traveling from Phoenix sky Harbor Airport to the Hampton Inn in Prescott Valley, Arizona. My flight got in a little bit early and I was able to catch the shuttle one hour before my scheduled shuttle. Jerry was very accommodating added me to the list Panera was ahead of schedule an hour early. Jerry was very informative communicated well on the stops and how long the travel would take and was a very good driver. Nice smooth ride all the way to Prescott Valley. read more

I have not used the Prescott Groome service yet. I did not want to wait and then forget how kind and courteous, Lori, the lady who answers the phone at the Prescott office was. She answered the phone on the first ring every time, spoke clearly, in English and helped me with all my problems. My face was beet red on the other end of the phone. These are the things she helped me with after multiple calls. If I was staying in Phoenix, how to use their service the next morning. She explained that I needed to get to terminal C and helped me with the website specifics. We are taking a flight to Cabo and I did not want to get to the airport three hours early. Lori updated and sent revised reservations to me several times. My husband disagreed with me and thought that we should get there three hours ahead of time. New phone calls and Lori sent me revised reservations. A week later, my brother called from Prescott and said he would like to pick us up and take us to Prescott the scenic route. Lori helped me put the canceled tickets in my brothers name/number for a one year open reservation; have the service pick us up at his house instead of the Prescott office and still get us to the airport three hours ahead of time. She sent revised reservations again. I would like to thank her for all she did for me and let Groome know what an asset she is to them. read more

This rating of five stars is based on a single person ride to PHX from our home. The drivers Renauld from home to the Prescott facility and then Chris from Prescott facility to PHX. Both folks were very professional, friendly and just plain pleasant. There were two of us and as such I could give a lower rating based on value. For one person the charge is great!! Highly recommended. For two or more there are other methods that are true door step to airport that are comparable (for two) and you are not limited to the regular scheduled times. Which is better flexibility. However both vehicles we were in were clean and comfortable. I do highly recommend for a single passenger. For two I'd use again if the schedules better aligned with flights. read more

We had reservations for a 5:15 AM pick up from the PV Kiosk to go to Sky Harbor Airport. We confirmed 4 days ago. We were advised to be there 10 - 15 minutes early. We arrived at the kiosk at 4:57 AM and waited until 5:35 AM. No shuttle. No phone call. No email. No message. Nothing! We were left stranded, trying to find how to get to the airport (about 2 hours one way). We called but the office was closed. There is no emergency number, no after hours number..nothing. We even called the corporate office in Virginia! At 7, when they opened, we called the local office. I explained what had happened and the gentleman who answered did not even ask for a reservation or confirmation number. There was no apology, no explanation. He transferred me to the individual who deals with refunds. Of course, that individual does not work today so I was stuck leaving a message. I went to the FB page and found most of their posts have commenting turned off. I went to BBB and tried to leave a review, but I see BBB has given them a rating of "F". I also see that quite a few other individuals have had this same problem. In my experience, this is a very unreliable company that fails to provide the services paid for. read more

These people are horrible! I cancelled my reservation 48 hours in advance after breaking my pelvis. It dawned on me that I needed alternate transportation due to my injury. First time I booked them was in December 2022. They picked up my son on time, and everything went well. Return trip did not go well. Had to make a change and move my son to a later pick-up time since his flight was delayed. Office staff assured me he was good to go for the pick up. Shuttle arrives, and my son's name isn't on the list. The driver stated his iPad wasn't working, so he didn't have an updated list. Told son he could wait an hour to see if he's on the list for the next shuttle. It was almost midnight, and we didn't want to risk my son being abandoned at the airport. Only way back was Uber. Can you imagine how much an Uber costs for an over 100 mile drive??? Decided to give Groome another try because the reservation could be made in advance. Paid extra for pick up at son's off-campus apartment. Reminder email stated correct pick up time of 5:30 AM. Office staff reminder call: lady told my son that his pick-up time was 6:30 AM. He told her it was at 5:30 AM. I wish she just said, there is no shuttle at 5:30 AM. Just in case, my son walked to the entrance for his 5:30 AM pick-up in 25° weather. No shuttle. He waits until 5:45 AM, still no shuttle. He goes back to his apartment to warm up. Walks back out at 6:15 AM to be early. At 6:32 AM, he spotted the shuttle. My son said the driver was friendly. So, if you have a student that needs to get to and from PHX, Groome may not be your go-to shuttle, especially when there is no after-hours number to call and you live thousands or even hundreds of miles away. 1 star for not making it clear that there is no 5:30 AM schedule and stating that the online reservation system was incorrect. Extra star because the driver was friendly. ****UPDATE: Told by company that there's a glitch in the system that makes home pick-ups 1 hour early. Meaning no 5:30 AM pick up, but it's actually at 6:30 AM. I wish he was just told there's no 5:30 AM pick up and about the glitch. I'm still dissatisfied. Dispatcher that I spoke with sounded sincere and explained the glitch. LI guess corporate needs to fix this situation since it's been 2004. New customers won't know this info. read more

Great and easy transportation option! I decided to go visit some friends in Prescott and they recommended groome. It was easy to book a shuttle and find where it was at Phoenix Airport. Mike was my driver and he was super professional and kind. I was the only passenger, so I was able to spread out a little bit and get comfortable. The van can fit about ten comfortably and everyone is required to wear a mask. I brought a book to occupy me, but I guess I was tired as I immediately fell asleep and when I woke up we were in Prescott. I remember waking up a couple of times, but it was so smooth of a ride that it was easy to not wake up. Before I fell asleep I did have a few bites of my sandwich, which was okay to do! Mike informed me that they clean before and after each ride. Super smooth and easy ride and reservation process. I would so use them again! read more

Wow, this company is abysmal. Who owns this company, and why are they not customer centric? People are better off looking to Uber and Lyft for their transportation needs. I am writing this review for two good friends. They are not active on this site. But I am. Yesterday, Wednesday, April 26, 2023, my wife and I, and our two friends concluded our cruise vacation in the Caribbean. We all began our return home at 6 am. After debarking and a two hour shuttle bus wait, we proceeded to FT. Lauderdale, Fl airport. We all waited for our delayed flights until eventually boarding our respective flights about 7:45 pm. You see, flight delays due to weather issues, as well as other issues have become routine occurrences. Every business who serves customers of the airlines need to be flexible when it pertains to their transportation schedules. Why, because the customer does not have any control over how the airlines operate. This transportation company should not act in ways to make matters worse. So, my wife and I flew off to Dallas, TX and eventually to Ontario, CA. Good thing our second flight was also delayed because we only had a few minutes to run to the tram ride to another gate, to find passengers already boarding. Whew. But we were in continuous contact with our friends as they were flying to Phoenix and were delayed. Their primary concern being potentially missing the last Groome shuttle back to Prescott. They were very fearful of missing it as they had already paid for the round trip service, and didn't have another way back home. So, when we landed at 1:50 am we telephonically contacted them to find out their status. We caught them enroute to rent a vehicle. "Oh no, you missed your shuttle" I expressed. They told me no. They made it to Phoenix in time. What? They went on to tell me they located the Groome shuttle. They asked the driver to hold on so they could retrieve their luggage from the turnstile. It would only be a couple of minutes. The driver then rudely told them, no, he wasn't waiting. Then he proceeded to drive away leaving them stranded. What an AH! Who does this driver think he is? What standards does this company set for its employees? To negatively impact the lives of two people in this way is atrocious. This employee needs to be fired. And our friends need to be fully refunded with sincere apologies. Our friends eventually had to remain at the airport, tired and cold, with their luggage to seek out a vehicle to rent. They finally rented a Nissan Truck to drive home to Prescott. Eventually arriving home at 4 am. Wow! Thank you Groome for screwing them out of their ride home, and additional out of pocket expense. Not to mention having to traverse that long dark ride on the 17 and 69 to Prescott half asleep. Groome really cares about it's customers. LMAO. Anyone considering Groome, whether in Prescott or Cottonwood, best take heed of their business practices. They are not customer centric. They are not the only game in town. It would serve you well to explore all other options before giving them your money. As this case demonstrates, they will leave you stranded without question. We spoke to our friends today, Thursday, they had to return their rental vehicle, and they are not happy. They are also tired and are doing what they need to do get back into their daily routine. Their only unpleasant experience they had during their trip was their experience with Groome. So they are trying to focus on the good time they had, and put Groome in the rear view mirror. Both in memory, and any future consideration for their transportation needs. Groome just lost two customers who love to travel. Groome has itself to blame. Particularly that callous Groome employee. Not really sure how she's kept her job this long, but her customer service abilities leave a lot to be desired. Wow, let me tell you about the best driver ever. And all of them are great. I use them all the time. Kelley and I hope I spelled that right, blew my mind. I am a para basically and I got released after 2 weeks from the hospital in San Diego. My flight was delayed for 8 hours. I was scared and he called, but when I kept updating as it went from 2 hours to 5 hours to 7 hours, to 8 hours. Each time he reassured me, don't worry I'm not leaving you. As he waited there for me. Me and my wife were so grateful we paid him enough to take his wife to a nice dinner since we took him away for her for so long. Unbelievable 10 STARS! We had to cancel a trip to Arizona due to illness of the party we were visiting. We made the big mistake of making our reservation about 90 days in advance of our trip and learned when we tried to cancel that we could not get our money back even though we gave over six weeks notice. We were told it was in the fine print that there are no refunds, only vouchers which we may never be able to use. In addition, the person we spoke with was a complete know it all who had an answer for everything. I managed a customer service organization and I would give them an F on customer relations. I made the reservation online with no problem before I saw the Yelp reviews. After reading all of the negatives, I was a little concerned that we would get to the airport in good shape. Turns out, I did not need to worry. Pickup at our house was on time, driver was very pleasant and helpful. A short ride to the terminal where we had to wait about 15 minutes for the airport bus to take off. The bus had AC that worked to keep us cool, and Kelly our driver entertained us by pointing out all of the sites along the way. He had estimated our arrival time at the airport before leaving the terminal, and we actually got there early. Groome has a no refund policy that is unfair to consumer. I was told by office manager that no portion of prepaid ticket was refundable regardless of advance notice or reason for cancellation. She did comment that if my husband had died they might consider an exception. Groome has a monopoly in this area and seems quite happy to inflict unreasonable terms on clients. I would have accepted a reasonable cancellation fee to cover their cost for original booking costs, but instead they refuse any refund and are keeping $350 I paid to make a 45 day advance reservation. My advice is to wait till last minute if you have to use their service. read more

The weather in March was a freezing cold rain-so I called the main office about my pickup at the Hassayampa Inn. But I was told I had to stand outside to wait since they don't pull up under the portico and you can't see the van from inside. I waited 20 minutes (a little before and after the time) and was shivering. Two days later, I came down with a cold and fever. The front desk told me that sometimes drivers come in but usually just leave the riders if they are not out there. Once in the van, the ride was warm and safe even in the downpour road conditions. read more

A few issues: 1) The door-to-door service option (about $20 extra each way) involves someone from Groome picking you up and taking you to the regular shuttle pick-up area where you need to disembark and get on a different shuttle. That's fine in an "it is what it is" way, but they need to be transparent about it. Most people assume door-to-door means just that. 2) My pick-up was running very late but it was pre-dawn and there were no 24/7 operators to check on the status and assure me someone was coming. I woke my spouse who was about to drive me to the airport when the pick-up arrived at the last possible minute. He said he'd gotten lost and tried to call me but it didn't go through?? There were no calls to my number. And I live in a very mainstream, easy-to-find neighborhood. 3) If you pre-pay the tip, the driver either doesn't know or acknowledge that, so you feel like a heel... I wound up tipping in cash on top of the pre-pay. So I'd advise not doing the pre-pay. 4) The person from Groome responding to negative reviews here on Yelp is only making things worse with boilerplate replies that do not acknowledge egregious situations. "We're sorry your mother-in-law wasn't satisfied" with sitting around in 115-degree heat with no AC while the driver split and took a 15-minute snack break?? It's a slap in the face. read more

Seems like a nice deal but the reality is for a domestic flight you will be forced to ride in a non-air conditioned van (they don't tell you that when you buy the tickets) with a face mask on only to arrive three hours early and wait. Absolutely the worst shuttle service. My mother in-law just used their service on 7/9/2021 from Phoenix to prescott. From the airport they made another stop to pick up additional passengers going to prescott, which is perfectly acceptable. However, at that stop the driver went into a convenience store to pick up a drink and was gone for 15 minutes. While he was gone he left the front and back doors open instead of leaving air conditioning on. It was 115 degrees in phoenix! Passengers were required to wear masks for the duration of the trip which is also acceptable, unless you leave your passengers without a/c for 15 minutes and upon returning they shut off the a/c to go up the hill to prescott. It is a 45 minute drive "up the hill". That is a long time to be in a vehicle full of people without any air conditioning! That is dangerous at best. When I called to complain they said "their drivers are instructed to turn off the air going up the hill because it is hard on the vehicles." I personally wouldn't put somebody that I didn't like through that. I was transferred to the managers voice mail so I left him a message but apparently in the 3 hours he had before he left for the weekend, he wasn't able to return my call. This is completely unacceptable "service" that they provided they she paid for. I have taken this service myself several times (not in the heat of summer) and it was great. read more

Getting you safely from one airport to another city is not complicated. When you need a shuttle, you pay the price and accept the terms - in this case - a no refund - credit only policy. But things do change - especially during covid times. In my case Delta cancelled my flight, suddenly making a direct flight to Santa Fe desirable. But what of the previously arranged transport - over a month from now? "Eat it", says Groome Transportation! There is over a month to change the pick up schedule and NOT charge me for services not rendered - but no, better to keep the money and offer a credit for future travel that few can use. I had to catch a flight in Phoenix leaving at 6:30 am. I was staying with friends in Dewey and didn't want to ask them to take me to the airport at that hour. I called Groome and a very polite woman set up my meeting time and place just minutes from my friend's house for 3:00 am putting me in Phoenix in ample time. The driver arrived on time, loaded my luggage, provided a safe and timely drive to Phoenix airport, helped with my luggage at the airport and I had extra time for a relaxing cup of coffee before my flight.
