Do NOT use this service! We reserved seats on a shuttle from Tucson to Phoenix five weeks in advance, and tried to cancel two days later when we got a free ride instead. Groome had already charged my card, and refused to give us the $98 refund, insisting that I had "checked the box" by the small print, which said I had to cancel the day before the shuttle. Even though I tried to cancel FIVE WEEKS before, they would only give me a future credit for a service I will never use! This policy is worse than the airlines! NO respectable business would operate like this! read more

When online booking wouldn't work the website told me to call Groome. I called Groome and got Anastasia on the line. Condescending curt and rude. I used to love the shuttle service. This put a really bad taste in my mouth. I usually tip the driver a $20. Anastasia, get a new job. You obviously hate working at groom. read more

It's astounding that they are still charging $43/way Tucson to Phoenix when there is a competitor in Flixbus. I really thought they'd lower the price in response but nope. Less leg room, no outlet, and an overall less comfortable ride than Flix. The only reason to take it is when the bus doesn't run on your schedule. Check Flixbus before you book. I'm so annoyed that I'm sitting on this shuttle unable to grade bc I don't have a light and can't even stretch my legs and relax instead. read more

I have been using Arizona Shuttle for years. Now that Groome has taken over the service has become horrible. Made a reservation on a shuttle on Sep 21 for Sep 23. Planes were being delayed due to weather problems in Phoenix. I called from Dallas about 4 hours before my scheduled shuttle explaining the delay and about what time I would be arriving Phoenix. Was told that they would reschedule me on a later shuttle. Upon arriving Phoenix went out to meet the shuttle and was told there was no room and I would have to wait for the next one. When the next one arrived was told that was also full and would have to wait for one 5 hours into the future at 4:30am. Talked to several of the people getting on this shuttle and was told that they had just made their reservation within the last couple of hours and they were getting on the shuttle. Also the prior company had personnel in the airport to check in passengers before their shuttle. They also had larger vans to accommodate more passengers if needed. Seems in this case it was needed, and they had knowledge of this when the weather problems developed. Now the driver checks in passengers after he arrives in the middle of the hectic traffic situation outside on the platform. The first driver was there over a half hour trying to figure who was supposed to be on the shuttle. He had no idea what was going on with the passengers and their scheduled ride!! I finally got on this last shuttle after the driver said he had no idea who was actually supposed to be on this shuttle and it looked like he had room for one more passenger. Others were still waiting on the platform when this shuttle departed. My wife and I have always used Phoenix in our plans for travel to Tucson as the shuttle was so handy and we live just 5 miles from the Twin Peaks stop. Also the return to Phoenix is so easy as the shuttle drops off at the door of the terminal. But what's the use if they are leaving passengers stranded at the airport?? In the future I will use Phoenix and the shuttle as my last resort in my travel to Tucson. Affordable, professional, and reliable! Booked this shuttle service for my younger sibling traveling solo from PHX to Tucson and their flight got delayed causing them to miss their pickup time. I think it was Stacy who helped rebook them for a later shuttle and transportation to their apartment to make sure they got there safely. Could not be more impressed with the efficiency and courtesy in a stressful time for our family. 100% would book again. read more

If I could give them a zero I would. My wife and I had a reservation for December 26th, and pickup time was 2:45 am. We arrived EXACTLY at 2:45 am. We actually saw our driver pulling out of the parking lot and thought he would turn around. Well, he didn't come back. He just left us there. I don't know what kind of Mickey Mouse operation Groome Transportation is, but there's no emergency # to call, no driver contact info., just a prerecorded message telling you their hours and to go to the website. NO HELP WHATSOEVER. I'm pretty sure that if the driver knew he had to pick us up, he had our info. Even if we were running a few minutes late, he could have called us. But like I said, we saw our driver........ WE WERE ON TIME!!!! THEY JUST LEFT US. And when I called to complain, the woman, Rosemary acted like it was my fault. She said, well, where were you??? She said she was transferring me to her managers voice mail, but hung up on me. Groome Transportation is the absolute worst. Do not use them. Horrible customer service . I had a reservation for 830pm from Phoenix airport to go to Tucson to see my Grandson who was born prematurely. After waiting I called and had the phone operator simply tell me it was delayed 40 minutes. No excuse. Just that's the it was. No explanation. Attitude was "Too bad". I scheduled and used this service in the same day. It is pretty straightforward. Of course, road travel can be unpredictable so that's something you should plan for yourself. But I had a quick and easy experience. The shuttle was mostly empty on a late Monday and we skipped stops in Tucson if there was no one planning to get on (saved a bit of time). The driver was friendly, helpful, and a good driver. Worth the money vs spending more for flights out of Tucson. BTW, if you're traveling at the end of the day, sit on the left from Tucson to Phoenix, the sunset is so beautiful. read more

I was at exit 9. The driver 12:30 pm 4/21 was late so,i sat on the bench at exit nine. The guy must have picked up at a different spot bc I see the car pass by, i waved him down and he gave me two hand gestures, he was within a few feet of me and instead of stopping or turning around just gave me two hand gestures and left. I call cust service and a rud lady did not want to listen and said "you want the 1:30 ride or Not". i said yes bc he stranded than i asked for the complaint line so i can tell them about the driver and she said all she can do is transfer me, she transfered me to a disconnect. read more

The company response to their not refunding bookings that cannot be used - "we're sorry our refund policy is inconvenient" is hardly a solution. They make the policy and if it is dishonest - they can change it. It would be interesting to know what percentage of unused, un-refunded tickets are actually rescheduled. An honest company charges for service provided and refunds for service not provided - especially well in advance as in this case. I see from the other 1-star reviews (because that is the lowest) that the company has many other issues re providing service - their only reason to exist. Again, especially during this period of worker shortages and plane cancelations - not ripping off customers would be nice. The problem is monopoly. If you provide the only shuttle service and aren't afraid of losing business to another company with better service - you can do anything you like. Social media and reviews are the only recourse. Really nice driver John Proudstar, got us to Tucson safely. Very unorganized dispatch we were sent back to pick up more people after having already left the airport. We didn't actually leave the airport till 12:15 when we were initially set to leave at 11:30. Not only that but because of issues with vouchers we had to watch as dispatch almost kicked an elderly woman off of the shuttle because she only had an only voucher. Completely ridiculous business organization: 45 minute late departure and having to go back to the airport at 12:00 when an additional shuttle was arriving at 12:30 is ridiculous. I understand you're trying to run a business but compasión and respect should not be where you cut corners. read more

I've used Groome twice now and so much about this service from the Tucson end is good: the drivers are experienced and safe; they leave the Tucson site promptly; the website is easy to use to reserve a seat. The bad: On my recent trip in June, the van had almost no air conditioning. The drive in the middle of the day from Phoenix to Tucson was almost unbearable it was so hot. Also, there's lack of clarity about check-in and pick-up . I was told I'd be picked up at 30 min. after the hour, and to check in outside at the pickup location 10 min. before that. But the van didn't come until 45 min. after the hour with no one to check in with until the van came, which meant standing in the terrible heat for 25 minutes. This experience will make me strongly consider before using Groome again. read more

Wow! These are good people. Used Groome for the first in August, 2019 for a round trip shuttle from Tucson to Phoenix Airport. On the departing trip, I screwed up the time and missed my connection at Speedway. The receptionist directed me to the Twin Peaks pick up location in time to catch my shuttle when it stopped there. On the return trip, I scheduled for a hour later than what I needed to de-plane, claim my luggage, etc-- the earlier shuttle arrived and the driver had room for me to hop on and get home early. (By the way, the vans are clean and well maintained.) Mostly, I was impressed by their kind service which is so unexpected and rare in this age we live in. read more

I am a person with a clean driving record, current medical card and Commercial Driver's License with a Passenger Endorsement. I went into the Groome Office in Hermantown, Minnesota to inquire about a part-time job - lady stated I needed to complete a application on-line which I promptly did. A person contacted me and said he would call me on a stated date - well he never called. I have tried contacting the office in Duluth and was on hold for entire hour. I was told the manager would call me and he never has. On one occasion I was able to finally contact the manager who said he was not able to talk because he was in a meeting and would call me back - HE NEVER DID. I went into the office again on July 30th 2021 and the manager was obviously in. The receptionist went back (closed the door) and came out saying that he was on a phone meeting. I said I'd wait - she said she has no idea how long he'd be - instead of saying,, OK, just please have a seat and he'll be right with you. It has been two weeks I have yet to get an interview with this company. It seems kind of strange because I am a man of color. Why am I being put-off time-after-time. Seems strange. EXTREMELY POOR management style and procedures. If this is how management treats a potentially GOOD employee -how do they treat their regular employees? read more

Absolutely the worst customer service! The driver literally didn't say a word to me - not even hello when we met him. No eye contact, no greeting. The woman who answered the phone and checked us in was equally horrible. She acted like she was doing us a huge favor to tell us where the driver was picking us up. I was on a shuttle for sky harbor to Tucson for a 11:30 pm departure time. It appeared that Groome Transportation overbooked the shuttle, so they demanded that one person get off the shuttle and get on a later one. Not once did they say that the person would get a refund or a voucher for a free shuttle ride. This all happened after at least five people who paid for the 11:30 pm shuttle were not on the driver's list. So all five people had to separately call and ask why their names were not listed. We didn't end up leaving until midnight because of Groome's awful customer service. read more

What a joke that I will not let happen again. Driver was 35 minutes late and the staff at Ina really didn't care who was being inconvenienced. No excuses and surely no aplogies from the whole rude bunch of rip-offs. Cramped seating at $40 dollars a head, 45 minutes late to my drop off and again not a care in the world from the driver. I use them quite often for some of my flights out of Phoenix and for some of my employees. Never again as I will find another form of transportation. A two day rental car with parking will set me back close the same amount and I can change my plans without losing my $$ as needed. read more
