Update: Amber followed up with me directly after posting this (3/6/25), but as with most people who don't appreciate feedback, responded defensively as she demonstrated below. Instead of taking the feedback regarding communication as an area of improvement (like others have also mentioned), she is convinced it's my problem, not hers. *Sigh* Instead of responding today, it would've been much more helpful to receive any response back in January 2025 when I contacted her, or anytime since then. I wish her the best of luck despite the sour note she texted me. Initial Review: I hate to leave this review for Amber because I really liked her services the first couple of times she groomed my dogs, she was reasonably priced and quick! but just as others have mentioned, she has stopped communicating with her clients. I tried calling and messaging her, and leaving voicemails to schedule a groom for my dog in early February, but I received no response. I know she got my messages because her iPhone said she read the message. I get that life happens. I'm a pretty understanding person. I don't know if she's struggling with the business or personal life? However, no communication and ignoring your customers is unprofessional, and not to mention a bad impression if you want their continued service. I've given up on mobile grooming. I've noticed a lot of other mobile groomers are just as scattered and disorganized in their communication. Not to mention pricey. Back to in-person groomers for us. Bummed to be writing this review. Was incredibly happy with Amber's service when she confirmed appointments, promptly responded to texts, and showed up for said appointments. For a full year I had been getting lion cuts for my cat every other month. Like most other negative reviews, last month Amber abruptly stopped responding to my appointment requests, texts, and did not show up to an appointment that I made through her website. I have used Ambers services twice. She is a gift from heaven! I have two feral cats (besides two domesticated cats). My feral cats needed to be trapped and put in their carriers for the vets. Amber does the best job of anyone i know. She does maintenance on the cats before the vet trip as well. Amber is so knowledgeable about cats. She knows more then i do. NO SHOW! I wanted to support a small business so I called Groomer 2 U on May 7th and someone named Renee texted me back. She took my information and scheduled Amber to come to my house on May 20th between 5-6pm. On that day (May 20th), I texted Renee around 1pm to confirm the appointment for that afternoon but I didn't get a reply. By 6:30, Amber had not arrived so I texted again, saying I hoped she was just delayed. I received no response. Nothing. She never showed up. I thought someone might contact me the next day to apologize - or at least explain - but it is now May 24th and I have not heard from anyone from Groomer 2 U. No communication whatsoever. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Amber was recommended to me by a good friend of mine, and my friend feels horrible about that recommendation now. Because of the quarantine, my dogs hadn't been groomed since February so the appointment with Groomer 2 U was important and much needed. My husband decided to look for a mobile groomer that serviced the North Natomas area. This morning we have both our 1 year old Kitties groomed. Blue, our short hair, got a nice bath and his nails trimmed. Gizmo, our long hair, got a bath, nails, and complete shave down. They both look great and smell great. Ever since we moved to Sacramento in 2016, Amber has been our go to groomer. Amber is friendly, patient and makes our doggies feel comfortable and safe. She is professional and efficient. Nina, (soon to be 12 year old) standard poodle, has been treated with love and compassion. She has several aging bumps and lumps making grooming a careful task; nevertheless, Amber has learned Nina's spots and has been gentle with her every time. I was looking for a groomer for my cat because she won't let me brush her. I had taken her a couple times to a groomer nearby and wasn't happy with how they had her sitting waiting with dogs for hours. I found Amber here on Yelp so thought I'd give mobile grooming a try. It was so worth it! Amber was able to work the appointment around my schedule. She gave an hour timeframe for when she would arrive, and then sent a text message when on her way, which gave me time to get my girl in her carrier. Amber showed up in the cutest paw printed van and kitty apron. She walked right up to my door to get my baby, was very friendly, and explained the process would take approximately 30 minutes. It actually only took 20 minutes and my baby is looking so beautiful now! She is the softest and cutest lioness and is very happy with her new cut.
