Michael, and his brother, Thomas, are the guys to go to when the job is tricky and has to be done right. One of my windows in my 1925 loft was missing a spring and I couldn't keep the window open. Michael found a great piece of hardware to solve the problem and it looks great. I also needed an Ikea closet (not in great shape) left by the former owner moved into the bathroom. The closet is huge and had to be taken apart and then reconstructed. The Groovy Bros put a back on the closet, rebuilt and reinforced the entire thing, and then stabilized it. Not a small feat! Life-saver! We threw a hard one at Michael. Our steamer trunk locked with no key. He fashioned his own key and popped the lock. Why life-saver? He had the foresight to ask me if I wanted to disable the lock. I live in east Dallas. I used this handyman service in July 2022, and was very happy. I moved into this house less than six months ago, and just had a long list of little tasks that I hadn't gotten done yet. I hired Michael for the day. It took a while to line up a specific date because he was busy on other projects, but my list wasn't super urgent. He came over and we went around the house with my list to review everything that needed to be done. About 1.5 weeks later, he came back and spent the day taking care of it. For example: install tool rack in the garage, change outdoor motion detector light bulbs, shorten chain on dining room light fixture, install curtain rods, install hooks in a closet, install a light globe and a magnifying mirror in a bathroom, finish a small Ikea project I had mostly done but not quite finished, mend some tears in window screens, put a 4-hose faucet on each of two outdoor faucets and laid out some new soaker hose in my herb garden. He's very knowledgeable, and he strives to accommodate you, even if it means spending a few weekend hours working on your requests.
