At times they are busy and check in can be slower on some days. The staff is always cheerful and hustle back and forth to check in or retrieve dogs. The cameras are fun. Another facility in Norco, Animal Care Services, said his DTAPP booster needed to be in his system for at least two weeks. Unfortunately, I was only one week away from leaving, and they would not make an exception. When I first called Smart Parke, the staff member I spoke with was very kind and reassuring. She told me I could bring my dog in for a private evaluation and mentioned that he already had an appointment scheduled. Unfortunately, it later turned out that the evaluation had not been booked correctly, which initially added stress to an already overwhelming situation. Despite this, Brooklyn completely stepped in and saved the day. She accommodated me without hesitation, handled everything professionally, and ensured my dog was evaluated properly. He passed with flying colors. From the moment I met Brooklyn, I knew my beloved pup was in good hands. She is clearly confident and comfortable with large dogs and genuinely enjoys her job. She is also wonderful with people. As a worried fur mom, Brooklyn completely put me at ease, calmed my nerves, and gave me confidence that my dog was safe and cared for. The fecal test came back with no issues, and her communication and organization were excellent. When I dropped my pup off, Brooklyn unfortunately wasn't there, and I worked with Brooke instead. Brooke was kind and responsive via email, which I appreciated. However, she did not seem as confident handling large dogs. She did not provide a collar long enough for my dog's neck and asked me to put it on myself. When I asked how long each of his three daily one-on-one sessions would be and what they entail -something I felt was important given the $150 per night charge--she was unsure and gave me an answer but initially made no effort to find out or confirm the answer. After I insisted, she called out to a manager who was sitting nearby with her door open, to which the manager gave a different response - the manager did not come speak with me until the very end and barely addressed me. Lastly , Brook said I would get a report card daily and when I didn't get one for the first day I emailed the store to which Brooklyn clarified the report cards are for regular boarding and didn't come with private. Despite this I ended up getting one each day which put our whole family at ease. While Brooke was polite and responsive, she appeared somewhat intimidated by my dog and lacked some key knowledge. That said, she did follow up promptly and answered emails, which I am grateful for. Overall, I give Smart Parke a 10/10 specifically for Brooklyn and the system she runs. She is exceptional with dogs and people alike, and her professionalism, confidence, and willingness to accommodate made all the difference in what could have been a very stressful experience.

This is a bit long, but stick with me, it's worth the read. :)…read more I want to share this because I know how overwhelming life with dogs can feel when things spiral out of control, and because truly great dog trainers are rare. Last year, I lost my dog Chloe. I had her for 15 years, and losing her completely broke my heart. Afterward, I adopted Lily, a multipoo who had never been out of a cage. She came from a puppy mill and was deeply traumatized. She shook constantly, wouldn't come to me, wouldn't let me touch her, and had severe anxiety. She was peeing and pooping in the house nonstop. I tried everything I knew. I tried love, patience, reassurance. Nothing worked. I was exhausted and completely at a loss. Then life threw me another curveball. A client of mine broke her hip after tripping over her dog and had to move into assisted living. I took in her one-year-old Schipperke named Daisy. If you aren't familiar with this breed, 'the little black devil.' Daisy is the sweetest, smartest dog in the world and also an absolute mischievous chainsaw in a tiny body. Endless energy, barking at people and dogs, running through the house nonstop, biting my neighbor on the ankle and even the gardener, and bullying Lily relentlessly. My house turned into chaos overnight. On top of that, I still had my 13-year-old dog Rocky, who is basically the best-behaved dog on the planet and thankfully not part of the problem. I didn't know what to do anymore. That's when I called Jennifer. Jen took Daisy for a two-week board-and-train, and when Daisy came home, she was a completely different dog. Not perfect, but honestly a million times better. She sleeps in a crate now, no longer bullies Lily, listens extremely well, and while she still barks, it's nothing like before. We're still working on it with Jen, but the transformation was incredible. After that, I sent Lily to Jen. What happened next honestly felt like a miracle. Lily no longer pees or poops in the house. She sleeps in a crate. She comes when I call her. She's happy. She plays. She acts like a dog now, not a scared abuse victim. She still has moments of anxiety and fear, but she is doing a million times better, and the difference is night and day. Jen didn't just train my dogs. She gave them structure, confidence, and safety. She gave me peace in my own home again. She understands dogs on a level that is rare, especially dogs with trauma, anxiety, and behavioral challenges. If you are struggling, overwhelmed, or don't know what else to do, I cannot recommend Jen enough. She is patient, intuitive, honest, and incredibly skilled. She truly changed our lives.

They have both…read moreindoor and outdoor play areas for the dogs, and both spaces are quite large, so it doesn't feel crowded at all. The facility itself is very well equipped, with more than 100 rooms. They also have separate isolation rooms in case a dog gets sick, which helps prevent illnesses from spreading to other dogs. I thought that was a huge plus. All new dogs are required to provide vaccination records, and they also do about a 20-minute temperament assessment before joining. Based on each dog's personality, they arrange suitable playgroups instead of just mixing all the dogs together. The staff are also very professional and attentive. They keep daily records of each dog's eating habits and bathroom activity, which really gives owners extra peace of mind. Overall, it feels like a very responsible and well-organized place for dogs.

There's plenty of room for the dogs to run around and play comfortably. What made me feel the most reassured is that they don't just "keep" the dogs there -- they actually spend time playing with them, observing their behavior, and caring about their emotions. If your dog wants to socialize and play with other dogs, they do require proof of vaccinations including Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP. They also do a simple temperament test (around 20 minutes), which honestly made me feel they're super responsible and genuinely care about the safety and well-being of every dog. As pet owners, the hardest part about traveling isn't the distance -- it's worrying whether our fur babies are truly being cared for. At Dogden, you really get a sense of peace of mind. They understand dogs so well. It's not just boarding -- they treat every dog like a little kid and care for them with so much love and attention. When the dogs are happy, the owners can finally relax too Now I can travel without constantly worrying about my little baby at home

The entire team was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. At the start of boarding, Darcey was able to pinpoint the key areas that needed work. Throughout the training process, we received regular updates, including informative notes, photos, and videos that showed just how much progress our pup was making. It gave us so much confidence and peace of mind knowing he was in such great hands. The information shared also helped to prepare us on his return, specifically the steps we needed to take to enforce his training. On pickup day, Elias took the time to walk us through all the commands and detail best practices moving forward. His attention to detail, depth of knowledge, and ability to clearly communicate everything really stood out not just to us, but even to outsiders observing the session. Everyone was genuinely impressed! The transformation in our pup has been amazing--he's noticeably calmer, more attentive, and much better at listening. This is a level of progress we couldn't have achieved on our own. We're so grateful to Darcey and her team and we would not hesitate to work with them again.
