I've tried a other places and I would have to fight with my dog just to get her out of the car to stay there. Now she knows when I am pulling up the street to Better K9 Corona and she starts to lose her mind! She can't to get out of the car and hits the gate running. The staff there is great and when she gets home she crashes from exhaustion after a day of fun with her crew. Her interaction with people and other pets is great now. We started with the 4-hour Pet test to see if he was ok and K9 was ok that he wasn't a problem, well he passed their Pet test and was invited back. Can't recommend Better K9 Pet Resort highly enough. Kai goes to daycare twice a week and loves ever moment of it. The staff is professional and is on top of everyday management. All I need to say is daycare and Kai is ready to jump into the car. They offer agility training and that's perfect for her since she's a Weim and full of energy. She loves them and they love her. Seriously glad we found this place. Ever since day one they have treated our boy Bear as family. They have an easy booking Process and they also are fairly priced. I feel comfortable leaving my boy here to play with his friends. My only suggestion is that they posted more on social media what goes on in the daycare area. I found better K-9 because they were midway to Vegas. I knew I'd have trouble huffing n puffing to make it back from vegas to pick up my little guy if it was in OC. Location wasn't my only criteria in finding a home for my baby while I was on holiday. The staff here are so sweet and caring. They answered all my million questions and eased my fear of leaving a puppy there. They sent me pictures upon request. On the last day, my little guy was playing with another dog and didn't want to leave. I filled out all the necessary paperwork ahead of time and sent to them via email prior to dropping him off. Everything seemed smooth. Security seem pretty tight so I wouldn't fear a runaway puppy while I was away. They separate small dogs and big dogs. The facility was clean and tidy. My husband and I so appreciate the way our Nala is taken care of! She enjoys every moment being there. She knows that when she goes, she has a lot of fur friends to play with. Marnie and the other fur takers are absolutely wonderful. They are all very attentive to our requests and all of Nalas' needs. She is a rescue and has issues with abandonment and they all make sure she receives the attention she needs, especially because she's an only fur baby and we take her everywhere we can. Two resorts...Corona and Riverside ( Woodcrest area) I ve taken my dog(s) here multiple times, day care and boarding, and have nothing but great things to say. My dogs love coming here, and the staff are extremely caring and professional in their jobs. My older dog was feeling anxious once and they called me with some suggestions they could try...picked one and she was fine within hours. I wish there can be negative stars. The owner is completely and totally rude. I waived at my dog and she says i yelled but it was my music. I have done that 20 times before and nothing was ever said. My dog is the most important thing in my life and I miss her when she's not with me. I have contacted all my friends that take their dogs there as well. They will no longer be. She precided to talk to me like I was a jerk when I didn't know what I did. Even apologized she kept added then I called her the b word. If the shoe fits. Then she pretended to be a employee when i called to talk to a manager. Suoer unprofessional. I own a business and have 15 wmployees who all love where they work. A few of her staff are extremely rude as well. Makes sense now that they deal with that all day. Maybe a sign can be hung or something. That's o.k. My friends dog got hurt their a few months ago as well. They were pretty shaddy about it. Maybe if people are paying to care for their dogs and owner treats their human like that. We first brought our 10 month dog Lucy here for boarding. Scheduling was very easy and staff were friendly. Our dog was very nervous and shy but the staff were all very friendly and helpful. They offered to give her a second day just so she felt more comfortable and sure enough our dog was already settling in day two. All the staff we've met have been amazing and had outstanding communication and support. We ended up using their doggy day care services, bathing, boarding and now soon their training. Highly highly recommended this place if you want the best care and support for your dog. We started bringing Lucy here late last year to try to get socialized since she was a puppy and an apartment dog. The staff were so kind and understanding. At first, Lucy was suuuuper nervous. She had nervous growls and the staff rejected her. However, the manager gave Lucy an extra day to come back and stay the wholeeee day so that they could give Lucy the chance to feel less nervous and ever since then, we have been coming back. We even took her to the 3-week board and train and the staff were so patient and loving with her. She no longer is nervous when she comes here, her training helped her live a less nervous life and Jack, our trainer clearly knows what he's doing and aligns with our values and beliefs as dog owners! I have been taking Max to Better K9for about two weeks now. I feel pretty comfortable leaving him with the staff at Better K9. They have been taken such good care of him, he was super shy at first, they put him through evolution to make sure he was a good fit. I can tell that he enjoys his time there lol, his confidence getting better and he's not afraid of large dogs as much now when I visit dog parks. Also, they're quick to answer emails, phone calls whenever I have a question. The place is clean and all the staff is super friendly and good with the dogs. The staff here take such good care of my dog. He takes a while to get used to new people and now he loves everyone there. He doesn't come home with any scratches or injuries like he used to at another facility in another city. I'm so glad we have a place we can trust with our dog. Kind of bummed that my first experience as a puppy owner with a trainer for the first time was with someone who wasn't force free and slapped and shut my puppy's mouth as punishment. The consult beforehand made me think otherwise, if I would've known beforehand I wouldn't have spent $100 for a puppy lesson that made me uncomfortable. They used a slip lead and my puppy was dry heaving and basically choking the whole time while he was trying to teach her to "heel". It's fine if other people train their dog that way but I wish I would've knew beforehand because I specifically was looking for a force free trainer. read more

We have been taking our dogs to this facility for 8-10 years now- previously Camp Ilene- and we have always loved the staff, their processes, their treatment of animals, and the fact that they had cameras to access online to view your pet's stay during play time, etc. Since having new ownership and becoming "Better K-9", we have experienced something completely different. Less friendly staff, no cameras, less communicative in general and that's the least of it. Since the new ownership of Veronica & Audrey, my dog has visited twice...the first time (about 6 months ago) she came home very sick with vomiting/diarrhea, incontinence, amongst other symptoms...after an $800 vet visit, we found out she had contracted a parasite from the facility. We never even said anything to them, as we are logical people and understand these things do happen. Luckily, she was okay after a few weeks of meds. This past visit, 2 weeks ago, we got a call at 8pm that our dog was in an altercation with another dog at the facility and had one bite wound on her neck that was pretty bad. We immediately picked her up and she needed veterinary care ASAP. The issues I have with this unfortunate event were this: A) no one was able to tell me exactly how it happened, at all. No one knew anything. B) notes on my dogs chart were read to me wrongly and I was told that my dog has shown aggressive behavior in the past and Audrey rudely assumed that my dog was the instigator on the initial phone call (an apology call from Audrey was later made that she did read her chart wrong because my dog has never been in an altercation with another dog, nor is she aggressive in any way), C) there was a 2nd (very large) bite wound 1.5 inches deep on my dogs back that was never even seen by the staff, never mentioned to me on the phone at all, and D) after calling the facility to get a refund for my dogs vet bills this time, I was told that the aggressor dog was still allowed to be back at the facility. This dog had no bites from my dog and walked away completely fine. My dog, all my family's dogs, my friends' dogs, will sadly never be back to a place we've been able to call their home-away-from-home for so many years. We truly do not feel like this is a safe place for animals any longer. Please beware! read more
