So we flew from LAX to Buffalo, NY, which allowed us to visit Niagara Falls (stunning) and then take a quick drive south to Bradford, PA (home of Zippo lighters). The first thing one notices when entering this part of Pennsylvania is how well-kept the homes and farms are. And when you turn onto the access road to the Glendorn Lodge, you see their farm-to-table patch of a vegetable farm. Once through the gate, the drive is a couple of miles to the main lodge and check-in. The staff are so wonderful and polite, calling us by our last names, which is very formal but a nice touch! Our home, cabin, was lovely beyond description. The master bedroom was stunning, the screened-in porch was perfect for 10 to 12 people hanging out (ideal for a family reunion), and we had an outdoor fireplace/pit blazing and roasting marshmallows for the kids. The next morning, we rode bicycles that you keep at your cabin home. We went out on a small lake with paddleboards, canoes, kayaks, etc. We also played volleyball and had lunch catered and delivered to the lake - fantastic service. The next day we played tennis, swam, basketball and even shot skeet! As our time at Glendorn came to a close, we reflected on the unparalleled service and the deep sense of relaxation we experienced throughout our stay. The staff truly went above and beyond, ensuring every detail was perfect, and their personalized approach made us feel like cherished guests rather than just visitors. To cap off our trip, we took a leisurely drive back toward Buffalo, savoring the memories of Niagara Falls and our time at the resort. We left Glendorn with our spirits lifted, ready to cherish the beauty of nature and the luxury of wonderful hospitality. If you ever find yourself in the northwest corner of Pennsylvania, I highly recommend Glendorn for an unforgettable retreat. It's a hidden gem that beautifully combines nature, comfort, and top-notch service!

Location is OK, right next to an expressway and train tracks, but the noise level was fine. Staff was friendly and helpful, check-in went well, breakfast in the morning was being refilled. The room itself was nice, clean and well set up. There was good bed and linens, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, TV and even a nice little sitting area. Decor was fine, nothing special, but good enough. Heating/AC worked fine and overall this was a nice place to stay. Bathroom was clean and roomy. Now for a bit of nitpicking. The view from my room was to the front canopy. The room had no USB ports to use in charging my phone or any other modern electronics, at this point I have come to expect that all I need is a USB cord. The lighting in the bathroom was a bit dim to my liking. The breakfast overall was fine with some nice touches, however they were out of quite a few items: no regular tea, no yogurt, pancake machine not working, and no hot cereal. Holiday Inn Express is one of the more expensive hotels in Bradford, while the hotel is clean and not a bad place to stay, however they need to pay a bit more attention to the small details to justify the cost. Fine place to stay but probably not the best value in Bradford.

Happiest day of their life is forever tarnished by Bound and Branch. Nothing but excuses and lies. Run!! Then they have the audacity to say that people leaving bad reviews is defamation of character... which is false because everything being said is true. If you give us the photos that were paid for, we wouldn't leave bad reviews, right? Did I mention you should run from this business? JcPenney's, here we come!!

Hiring Bound and Branch to photograph our wedding was one of the biggest regrets of our planning…read moreprocess. We chose their 8-hour package specifically because it included two photographers--an important detail for us, as we had a large wedding party and a sprawling venue. We wanted to ensure that all the key moments would be captured from multiple perspectives. We reached out several times before the wedding--both through their portal and via text--to try and get the names of our assigned photographers (we had a friendship bracelet seating chart and wanted to represent them!), but we never received a response. We also shared a Pinterest board to help convey the vibe we were going for--candids, black-and-white shots, editorial portraits, etc. Unfortunately, this was completely disregarded. Then came the wedding day: just as photography coverage was supposed to begin, we were informed that only one photographer would be coming. The second had apparently tested positive for COVID. We asked for proof due to a COVID clause in the contract, and the entire situation quickly soured. After the wedding, we requested a 25% refund--just for the fact that half the expected photo team didn't show up. Their response was extremely unprofessional and defensive. They explained that they don't charge for a second photographer and that their pricing is based on just one. This felt misleading--nowhere in the initial booking process was that clear, and it certainly wasn't communicated that the second photographer was essentially a "bonus" and not part of the paid service. Worse, the owner made comments like: "If you're holding me to contract standards, then I'll only deliver 350-450 photos, and any extras will cost $8 each." I was stunned. After such a disappointing experience, this felt like a threat disguised as customer service. I told them to keep the money, clearly they needed it more than I did. When we finally received the gallery, the disappointment deepened. The photos lacked the vibe we hoped for--no black and whites, very few candids, nothing artistic or emotionally evocative. We didn't even get one usable photo of our entire wedding party. Family photos were poorly composed, some with eyes closed, and important shot list items were missed completely--because, as we later learned, the photographer who showed up had never been given the list. Communication between the owners and their photographer was clearly non-existent. This was the biggest day of my life--one of the very few times I'll ever need a professional photographer to truly capture the moment. And yet, I didn't even have a single photo that felt special enough to use on our thank-you cards. That's something you can't get back, and the lack of accountability from the company made it worse. To top it off, when my best friend left a negative review based on everything we'd been through, the owner texted me privately--offering $400 to have the review taken down. That amount, ironically, is what we were told a second photographer costs them... so why wasn't this offered upfront as a refund when we asked in good faith? This experience was a painful letdown, and I would not recommend Bound and Branch to anyone looking for professionalism, communication, or any sense of accountability on one of the most important days of their life.
