I come here for a sub sandwich every now and then over lunch, and you couldn't ask for a fresher and more tasty sandwich. The subs that they make, honestly, are probably the best in the area. They are made to order, and the people working there will accommodate pretty much whatever you would like. The staff is very friendly, the prices are very good, and overall, this is a very nice store and I highly recommend it.

What a beautiful day for the annual Cuba Garlic Festival. The villagers (as my five year old…read moreMinecraft addict called them) were spectacularly friendly. The moment we entered the free parking we were greeted by volunteers on multi passenger side by sides, ready to whisk weary walkers to their destination. So nice to be given a warm welcome, in contrast to some other county fairs we attended this year. There is plenty to entertain the kids, from 3-d printed toys, wooden doll furniture, pony rides, Minecraft and Lego sets and much more. The non-stop entertainment has something for everyone, happening all day long! We grabbed some "carnivore candy" aka beef jerky and cotton candy. Glad to find a vendor selling canned Pepsi for only a buck. This festival is easily walkable but it is located in a hay field so there are ruts and uneven ground too contend with. As first time garlic growers we had our eye on big bulbs suitable for planting. We passed the bulb farmer tents, and sought out the food vendors first. The food selection was "over the top " gourmet as well as standard comfort food. Sausage sandwiches, burgers and hotdogs, cheese fries, funnel cakes, pizza and pierogi, deep fried artichokes and garlic smoothies grabbed our attention! Italian gelato, coffee shops and pastry bakeries were among the hundreds of participating vendors. We did buy several pounds of beautiful garlic for planting, and some for cooking as well. I know that I'll run out before my harvest next summer, because I'll use a bulb every time I'm in the kitchen! It's great to speak with experienced growers and to try new varieties! We had a lovely day at the Cuba Garlic Fest, and plan to return next year!
