I initially chose this clinic because of its convenient location and expected a safe, professional treatment environment. During one treatment, I fell while under the effects of ketamine and landed on my head. I subsequently experienced symptoms that concerned me for a possible concussion. In my experience, I was given Tylenol and a phone number for the medical director and was discouraged from going to the emergency room. I personally did not feel that the response adequately addressed my concerns following a head injury. I also had concerns about communication, treatment processes, and organization. Having previously received ketamine treatment elsewhere for more than a year, I had a basis for comparison and ultimately decided this was not the right environment for my continued care. I understand that Christine Salvo is an owner associated with Higher Dimensions of Healing and a licensed marriage and family therapist in Nevada. Nevada law, including NRS 89.055, contains restrictions concerning interference with the professional judgment of certain licensed professionals. I am not alleging that any violation occurred, and the applicability of that statute depends on the clinic's legal structure and circumstances. However, anyone with concerns about whether a licensed professional has acted outside their lawful scope or interfered with another professional's independent judgment can consider contacting the appropriate Nevada licensing board for review. This review reflects my personal experience and opinions only. I am not attempting to characterize the experiences of other patients or make factual allegations beyond what I personally experienced and observed. My attempts to get her to interact with me on a more personal level were thwarted. I left feeling alienated and unseen. When I subsequently complained to CTBH, I was told that I "should have expected" this, since the first session is an assessment, not therapy. (They did not mention this when I made the appointment). They also claimed that "all mental health providers do this." I've been through enough counseling over the years to know that it is not normal for a therapist to treat you as if you are not human. I don't doubt that other counselors I've seen did an assessment, however they did it WHILE doing therapy, not INSTEAD OF therapy. I believe it is possible to do both. The charge for this "assessment" visit was almost $700, which insurance refuses to pay even though the facility is in-network. The CTBH billing dept has been completely unhelpful even while admitting that they have a known ongoing issue with their State of NV insurance contract. They have referred the issue to "billing review" which I was initially told would take two weeks. When I checked back after that time, I was rudely informed that they hadn't gotten to it yet, and there was "no timeline" for how long it might take. The appointment was over five months ago and this unresolved bill hanging over my head is just causing me more stress and adding to my mental health burden. At this point, I feel disappointed and discouraged from seeking any therapy at all.

The two docs come every morning and the food is x2 (lol) super bomb. Rooms are clean and there is a view of the mountains. There was a nurse who was very important to me and motivated me to go to a wrap up group one night when I was still sore and sick feeling and within days, once I felt better, I was elected to run the morning goal meeting and night time wrap up groups. Which I took very seriously. She gave me the positive energy to channel the program and complete it. Brown skin, long hair, a boss of an RN for such a small gymnast built of a woman. She inspired me... I won't mention names on here besides my own. I'm just that way. Secretive selective Scorpio lol. Anyway Along this journey I formed many friendships and even got a Lemurian Seed Crystal from my rock ceremony when you leave from an ancient healing medicine man aka buddha in blue. The first red flag was the $100 credit card fee just to register. You have to keep a card on file and they threaten to charge you if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, and weekends and holidays don't even count. When I asked about it they swore it was only for people who constantly miss appointments and that they totally understand if you get sick or something unexpected happens. I was told not to worry. A few visits in, my therapist scheduled me out several weeks so I always had a regular spot. What I didn't know was that the office also booked me separately without telling me, so I got double booked. I went to my normal appointment but apparently missed another one I never made. When I called, they said it was fine, not my fault, no charges. Then it happened again. I called again, got the same reassurance, and was told everything was taken care of. A week later my therapist told me my appointments were being canceled because I supposedly owed $300. She didn't even know what it was for. She confirmed it wasn't for missed appointments. So what the hell was it? When I tried to talk to someone I wasn't allowed to speak to anyone except a woman named Kate who is a complete tw[at]... there really isn't another word in English language that's more mild that could adequately describe her... rude, gaslighting, abusive, and completely unprofessional. She lied, twisted my words, and talked to me like garbage. After digging around I found out I wasn't the only one. Kate allegedly has a history of verbally abusing patients and crossing lines she shouldn't. Look it up for yourself. This place is a scam. They don't communicate, they don't care, and they will absolutely fuck your life over while pretending to help you. They steal from people, they gaslight you when you question it, and they hide behind fake policies. I later found multiple complaints filed against them with the Nevada Board of Examiners for Marriage and Family Therapists and Clinical Professional Counselors for misconduct and unethical behavior. It's all public record. In fact, Kate is such a gaslighting narcissist. I would bet money that they respond to this with some more gaslighting. 100% Were there smoke there's fire... and there's actual fire here.
