    Grand opening today!
    Rebecca N.

I went to the grand opening on Saturday. I have been watching for them to open. My neighbor, Laura texted me to let me know about the grand opening. So, I made sure I had time to stop in. Upon entering, they had two foodie trucks(cupcakes and BBQ)outside, along with a bouncy house and a wonderful Dee Jay(he was good). I wish I had asked his name. I walked inside and the line was pretty long, but I had time to wait. I ordered the sweet cream iced latte and a banana muffin. The entire crew were working hard and fast, friendly too. I love the cool vibe and decor here. I look forward to my next trip. Good blessings and welcome to Arlington! It's always nice to see new developments and growth in Arlington.

I posted previously on Grand Opening day. All good then, and even better now!! My son and I stopped in a couple weeks ago to purchase tickets for Bingo, which was held last night. Of course we ended up getting coffee and I tried something new! An iced "5020". I asked for less pumps of the sweet stuff because I don't need the extra sugar, and I don't like really sweet drinks. It was awesome! Highly recommend. Coffee better than SB and the best service! Calm, relaxing atmosphere. I only wish they were open later than 2 PM, as my 2nd cup cravings are usually @ 3-4 PM! Last night my two sons and I went for the first Bingo night at Grounds of Grace! We had a blast! Coffee of your choice, a huge buffet of great food, and some really cool prizes. We didn't win anything, but happy for those who did! It was a fun night out. Apparently Bingo is going to be a monthly event at GOG - you should go!!

I just tried this latest addition to the coffee scene here in Jacksonville - and what a great entry it is. In addition to a really good cup of coffee, they have a nice variety of Chai options and tasty baked goods - from muffins ( I had the chocolate chip muffin,) to croissants, and cookies to quiche. The ambience is spacious and the decor is well designed, with a variety of seating arrangements and spaces. Clean and well lit, as Hemingway would say. It o large enough for team meetings of many sizes. Friendly staff, good service - and swag for sale - and all supporting a good cause to an underserved community. All-in-in a nice place to do business, entertain clients and guests, and just relax! This spot will enhance and stimulate a resurgence in this area of Arlington. Be sure to visit and spread the word. (They also have a coffee truck.!

Lots of space for those looking to work on laptops. Vibe is definitely full of love. The service was quick and friendly. I felt like my latte was a little too sweet and my boyfriend thought his matcha was like sipping grass. Will have to try other menu items before making a final decision about this place.

New coffee shop in Arlington! They also have a coffee truck so not sure the location is right on the post! Check out their building at 1633 University blvd. This is not only an amazing atmosphere but they have great coffee for a local cause!

We really liked that they use single origin coffee unlike Starbucks, lol. The space feels modern yet comfortable, with plenty of windows for people-watching or enjoying the nice weather. They offer both indoor seating and an outdoor patio, making it a great spot to sip your favorite coffee, tea, or espresso. They also have a nice selection of breakfast items, including pastries and muffins that pair perfectly with your drink. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and created a positive atmosphere from the moment we walked in. As an added bonus, they also have a drive-thru if you're in a hurry. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd definitely stop by again.

The parking right in front isn't the best but there is ample parking in the shops surrounding the business. The environment was lowkey with several patrons on laptops or catching up with friends. I had no idea what I wanted but definitely wanted to try their drinks and a biscuit. I ended up having them customize an iced caramel latte and ordering a cheddar and cheese biscuit. Everything tasted amazingggg. The biscuit was fresh and I didn't feel heavy after eating it. The latte had the perfect amount of sweetness. Both items complemented each other well and the pricing was very fair. They do sell their own coffee and it seemed like everyone had a cup. I think one of the better things about it is the drive-thru for people who don't want to get out the car. I am confident enough to use the drive-thru now that I have a go-to order. I rate this place a 10/10 and I will definitely be back to try some of the pastries and different coffee flavors.

Well, this will be my 49th review on a coffee shop and I'm very happy to cover Grounds of Grace! First and foremost, yes, it's a shop that exists to provide service to customers with excellent hot and cold beverages. However, its main reason for existence is ministry. Yes, it's a ministry to the community in that it brings our young people in to learn the coffee business, along with many other ministry activities in the community. It also sports a large bus outside the building in the parking lot. It's not there for decor. It's also used to provide ministry throughout the area as well. How in the world did I get the feeling I wanted to ride the Sunday School but that took me to church when I was a young kiddo again! Yeah, that brought back the memories! Grounds of Grace started up in 2020 (during Covid of all things). But the building came to existence around 2023. There is much to appreciate in the work and positive effect they have on others - I saw some of that during my visit. Yes, I did visit to grab a coffee beverage too! The day was warm so I departed from my usual hot white latte and went with a spring specialty offering. Katie, the fantastic barista who assisted me, told me about the specialty menu and I saw immediately that I had to get the strawberry cheesecake white mocha latte!! I took the frap version. But this is key! I mentioned the drink probably has a high sugar content, and YES it does! However, the shop will offer to make it for you with half the sugar, which I chose. Truthfully, I was delicious! That's because I could really taste the coffee and other flavors blended evenly together. Make sure you ask for the half sugar on their specialty drinks if you wish for a lower sugar content. On another note, I really love the interior of Grounds of Grace. They have a pretty large space in their building with varied seating from chairs, half couches, elevated seating, and regular table seating. It wasn't busy during my Saturday visit, but some folks did stop by. It's a very pleasant atmosphere with lowered-volume Christian music playing. Remember, this is a Christian ministry, but Grounds of Grace welcomes all people to come visit and enjoy what they offer. They do have a section with accessories, such as shirts, mugs, etc., it you want to purchase some and further help their ministry. I really think this is a great thing for our community and I had a wonderful time here. It was one of those moments where I felt like I a got a dose of heaven for a moment of time! Come visit Grounds of Grace! What they do for kids and the community, along with creating great coffee beverages, it's surely worth your visit! Recommend: VERY HIGH

I mistakenly thought that they serve drinks on addition to providing whole bean coffee, but that wasn't the case. And that's totally fine, cause I was there for the beans anyway. A nice lady came out, I asked what the best blend was for a countertop espresso machine, and she recommended the central blend. So in my opinion, these guys get good marks for the facility, the whole bean selection, and merchandise, the friendly service, and the longevity of the business. And at the end of the day, they also get really good marks for the coffee itself...... nice fresh beans, great aroma, smart blend, and it pulled a great shot first time through the Gaggia. But this is where it falls off the deep end - the bag that the beans came in was not sealed, as the picture shows. What? I don't know whether this was an oversight for just this one bag, because I neglected to check it while I was at the store. But the whole purpose of a one-way gas valve on a coffee bag is so that CO2 can escape but no air gets in..... if the bag is not sealed, then the whole mechanism of freshness is defeated. These beans had been roasted just four days prior, and I used them the next day, so the coffee translated to the cup very well. But I'm really hoping this was a mistake, and that the bag that I purchased would be the only one that goes out the door unsealed. Otherwise, that's a real head scratcher in the coffee business. Taste is exceptional. Seal the bag and you get 5 stars.

The vibe felt a little weird and odd to me, and honestly, it just didn't sit right. Because of that, we decided not to order anything during our visit. That said, I do appreciate the concept behind the space. I love that Solune allows artists to come in, express themselves, and share their work. That's a really dope idea and gives the space a creative quality that you don't see everywhere. However, if it's being labeled as a café or coffee shop, I'm not sure it fully fits that description based on my experience. The atmosphere felt more focused on artistic expression than on coffee or café culture. If you're an artist looking for a space to express yourself, share your words, or connect with a creative community, I'd say it's worth checking out. For someone looking for a traditional coffee shop experience, though, I'm not sure Solune would be my first recommendation. Yes, I'm talking about eating at the food truck called On the Fly. Calling it a food truck is in this number, I'm not sure what you would call. It is fabulous. Now let's start off with the negatives, parking is not as easy as it is for most lunch places, but it's really not that bad if you know what you're doing. There are plenty of slots on the street before you get to the restaurant, and if you called ahead and are just picking up then you can park in the reserve lot, where On the Fly is located. Now these spaces are reserved for lawyers going to the courthouse, which is nearby. So you can't park there here all day, but if you're just stopping in for lunch or if you've called ahead or just picking up takeout, then you should be fine. If you're in someone's spot, the first place to look is the restaurant, so just know you may have to move fairly quickly. For me, I like to call in advance, place my order, and then Park in one of the spaces. Then I pick up my food and go and I'm only there for five minutes. Now that that's all out of the way, let's talk about some of the best food that you will have in Jaxonville. On the Fly sauce - I think this is made by a team of leprechauns they keep in the back of the food truck. Because it comes out so fresh, so delicious, and if they sold it by the gallon, I would be numero Uno in buying it. Blue chips - a great starter chips and blue cheese, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and delicious. Firecracker Sesame seared Tuna - another solid performer, it has some kick to it, although the tuna is always perfectly cooked. Sweet and spicy quesadilla - oh my God, this dishes as close to heaven as I think I will ever get to. The chicken is so tender and put into a tortilla with caramelized onions, banana peppers, and covered in On the Fly sauce. I don't know how but this works so well you cannot imagine. Service 5/5stars Food 10/5 stars Parking 3/5.
