I loved the fact that a) he responded at all vs just ignoring the request, b) was upfront and honest about his timeline vs just taking the job and overextending himself. Once I told him that we were in no rush, and would be happy to wait, he proceeded to text back and forth with me helping me get an idea as to what the job might cost. He made recommendations about plants, etc....and all this without officially having secured my business. Towards the end of July, I reached back out to see what his timeline looked like. Again, he responded almost immediately. He apologized for not getting back to me sooner, and said he would come out to measure the area, and discuss the job in more detail. In my mind, he had absolutely nothing to apologizing for. He set a date to come out, came out exactly at the time he promised, and helped us figure out what would look good. He provided a written, detailed estimate, which he adhered to...we paid exactly what he quoted. On the day of the job, he showed up as promised and on time. Pros - The quote Fernando gave me was fair, and he and his team did a decent job…read more Cons - If he agrees to do the job, be prepared to be ghosted or have your time wasted. He came a day later than he told me he would, without telling me ahead of time. Replaced my mulched area with gravel without telling me. He also left a giant pile of gravel on my lawn for a full day, killing a big patch of grass. I needed paver bricks laid, and he rebuilt pillars on the patio without telling me. While rebuilding the pillars, he cut the wire that was connected to light fixtures that are on top of the pillars. Fernando would not admit that he cut the wire, but I confirmed with an electrician that there is no power running to the end of those wires, so they were cut along the way. After weeks of calling Fernando and asking him to come out to take a look at the light fixtures, he either never responded or ghosted me. Stay safe and spend a little more money to have work done by people that won't damage your property and won't waste your time.

I have had chinch bug problem in my lawn since last year which was destroying our front lawn. I was…read moremisdiagnosing the problem (thinking it was brown patch) all along and nothing seemed to work. Finally, I gave up and called Lawn doctor. Don (the owner) came to look over the lawn and he immediately found out the problem. He patiently explained to me the problem, showing the problem bug and even suggesting a solution. I was pleasantly surprised by his demeanor (very professional, not pushy) and decided to go with him for the application. Based on Don's suggestion, I could have been a prick and done the treatment myself from store purchased insecticides (I couldn't do it!). Don gave me a quote for two applications. I felt the quote was reasonable and justified. After the first application, the crew came to check the results. After checking the grass, (on the scheduled day of second application), I got a call that a second application was not necessary and therefore they hadn't applied it (and of course I wasn't charged for the second application). The company could have easily applied the second application and charged me for the same, and I would have probably paid for it without questioning. But the company didn't do it. It stuck to their morals. I personally felt very happy that such honest and trustworthy companies still exist even today. Now I know who to consult for all of my future lawn care needs and I would strongly recommend and endorse them for anyone looking for a lawn care company. (Note that I don't usually write out online reviews for companies, I only do so when I really feel touched by a companies gesture)
