Funny name, but great service. My 20 year old limestone counters were pitted, stained and always looked dirty. They came in, honed/ polished to a high matte finish, sealed cracks and sealed the surface. Limestone is porus and subject to etching from acid foods (lemons!) so a high polish would not last long term. The counters look like new with a very, very even finish. They took care to drape off all my appliances and cabinets, polished for about 5 hours, then cleaned up well. Polishing is wet, messy process but they know what they are doing and didn't leave a mess at all. Super happy with the response and service. read more

Well, he totally flaked and was a no show. I did call to try to confirm the appointment and it was sent directly to voicemail--just so not cool. My advice to the Grout Geek: if you don't want to take on a job for whatever reason, have the common decency to let the customer know so they don't sit around waiting for your arrival. read more

We just had Herman and Matt deep clean and seal a bedroom floor, deep clean our kitchen floor and color seal the grout, and deep clean and seal a shower with stone tile. They really got things clean and did a super job. Herman was also great at explaining the process for each job to us, and he gave us tips on maintenance (which cleaners to use and avoid on the different surfaces). I am very impressed with the two gentleman from Grout Geek. I saw them do work next door to me and decided to hire them to re-grout my bathtub shower combination. They did an excellent job. After 15 years, the grout around the tiles in our master shower was a mess -- cracked and in fragments. Water had to be leaking into the walls and floor. We called around and received a couple of quotes. Grout Geek's bid was reasonable; the reviews on Yelp were excellent; and my conversation with German (the owner and the person who did the work) was encouraging. We booked him. German showed up on time. He carefully re-examined the job (the original bid was based on photographs), and began work. Because of dampness that had accumulated in the cracks, he had to add some time to the job to allow for drying. Meanwhile, he cleaned all the tile, including the entire bathroom floor, took out all the old material, and prepped the area. He came back the next day and finished the caulking and grouting job -- exactly as he promised. The work he did was impeccable. He also cleaned up perfectly and charged only what he had bid (I gave him extra because, through no fault of his own, he had to come back a second day). We're thrilled with his work. We recently renovated a small studio. In so doing, a portion of the old and neglected Saltillo tiles needed to be removed for plumbing repairs and were replaced with new Saltillo tiles. The difference between the old tiles and new tiles was extreme. We reached out to German at Grout Geek to see if anything could be done to repair the old tiles and minimize the obvious difference. German met with us at the studio, listened to our wants and needs and based on his expertise, came up with a plan.
