After performing an eye exam Yandell gave me a lens prescription I couldn't see with. After several days of attempting to "get used to them," I concluded I'd never see with them. Yandell refused to replace, refund, or return the lenses or glasses. An eye doctor in Tulsa confirmed Yandell's prescription was totally inappropriate for my eyesight. Save money and frustration and shop elsewhere! read more

I placed a ONE STAR review for Buddy Yandell, three years ago. I see that, somehow, it's been removed. I wonder how that has happened ? I spend $700.00 ( yes, SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS ) which did not include the $80.00 I paid this man for his so-called examination. For SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS..... I got two absolutely plain jane pieces, a plain jane pair of lenses, which any modern office can make in an hour, or less, and a plain jane pair of Rx sunglasses. Plus one other thing : Plenty of crap attitude. A lot of attitude from a couple of squeaky little punk girls. I lettered the fine and great and wonderful Buddy Yandell about the crap attitude I got while they got my SEVEN HUNDRED. I went there to get a full eye exam and I told them I wanted to try contacts. I went in, got the eye exam, got glasses. They said I would have to get another appointment to get fitted for contacts. I said fine, and made the appointment when I picked up my glasses. I went in for the fitting thinking I would get a trail pair and they would show me how to put them in, etc. Nope, that wasn't the case. They took me back and the assistant attempted to put the contacts in my eyes. (Note: I'm not one to touch my eye, or put eye drops in, so I was very tense during it, but I wanted it done) She had trouble and got the Doctor who got them in after a couple tries. I was happy and they felt great. Dr. Yandell was who I saw and he was very negative and kept saying stuff like "Now I had a hard time getting those in, are you sure you want to do this?" and just very discouraging and negative about the whole thing. I finally snapped at him and told him what I thought and he dropped the subject. I found out that they DON'T give you a trail pair, or even the one's they put in your eyes for the fitting. Oh, and I would have to make ANOTHER appointment for them to show me how to put them in which is $45. I didn't go back. I've switched to Dr. Lantz. I only went to Dr. Yandell cause he takes my insurance, but since I spent that on my glasses, it doesn't matter where I go for contacts until next year. If you want a Doctor with good bedside manner, don't go to him. read more
