Bartenders were very friendly and welcoming! We were standing at the barricade, so we chatted with the security guards and they were some of the nicest workers I've met at a show! It is very nicely decorated, lots of blue LEDs, lasers and some nice artsy backlit paintings of the great Latin music artists. The club is divided into 2 sides, the larger has the DJ, low tables in the center and high tables around the edges. There is a nice-sized dance floor that salsa dancers will appreciate, bit it gets pretty tight as the place fills up. The other side has comfortable chairs, but the music is kind of loud for chatting. On Saturdays, they try to reserve the low tables for bottle service. In fact, if you aren't drinking enough, they'll ask you to move. We think that is VERY RUDE. The bartenders are best at bottle service but mixed drinks are inconsistent and expensive. ($18 for 2 margaritas and a bottled water.) That's in addition to a $5 cover. (More for special events.) Saturday nights are always busy, getting packed around 11pm. Tables and room on the dancefloor become scarce. Friday nights are more relaxed. Generally, there is no cover and more space to enjoy the evening. They have a nice arrangement with Don Vicente, the Colombian restaurant next door. Order your meal at Don Vicente and they will deliver to our table at Vibe. We highly recommend the grilled chicken skewers.

The show was high-energy and entertaining, with performers in elegant gowns, lip-sync performances, and lots of audience interaction. What I enjoyed most was the atmosphere. Everyone was welcome, and nobody seemed to be judged or excluded. It was an inclusive, accepting environment where people could just be themselves and have a good time. Overall, it was a fun night, and I'm glad I finally got to experience a drag show.

An update on my review a couple years ago…read more. The Mansion and its little cousin, Taberna de Pancho closed over a year ago in their locations near E.North St and Haywood Rd. Since then, Taberna de Pancho has been "adopted" in the location with the blue SKYY on the corner, formerly Sky Lounge. The address is 50 Woods Lake Rd, Gvl 29607. The building is divided into 2 totally different bars, sharing only 1 entrance. You choose your musical flavor upon entering and paying the cover. Besides the Latin-music side of Taberna de Pancho, the other side plays mostly hiphop and has a predominantly black clientele. Not a problem. To each, their own and the managers, the bars and security ensure that it is a safe venue. On occasions, Pancho brings in big name musical groups which sometimes play on the other side; offering more space for guests and dancing. The inside of this "New" Taberna de Pancho location is much more upscale and more nightclub-ish, and not so much the Colombian family hole-in-the-wall that it used to be. They have a nice dance floor in the center of the room, a long bar on one side of the building and kitchen which serves Colombian fried treats. Generally, the music is excellent with Juancho being our favorite dj. But the larger venue means that the music is significantly louder than their old place... don't expect to hold much of a conversation here. If you are sensitive to loud music, you might want to be sure you've got your ear plugs in your purse or pocket. Overall, it is one of the 2 best places in Gvl for Salsa, bachata, merengue dancing on any Friday or Saturday night. The other one being Vibe.

I have been here many times-mostly for pop up craft/art shows, once for a 20's themed birthday party and most importantly, for my own wedding rehearsal dinner. Renting the space for the rehearsal dinner was easy and the owners were super helpful and accommodating. Their contract is very clear and their prices are very, very reasonable! We had 50 people total for the event and when we arrived the night of the party, they had the space set up for us with their dining tables and lovely chairs arranged as well as a serving station and bar area. Their furniture is what makes this place so incredible really-they have absolutely beautiful mismatched furniture, vintage and rustic looking. This is the type of space that you see all over Pinterest. I recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a small event venue for a wedding or birthday party. I wish I had better photos to add to Yelp because it really is an absolutely gorgeous space!

I was told that renting it out on a weekday is super reasonable- only $65 an hour. You can't beat that! I love hosting large parties at my home, but I can never fit the amount of guests that I want in my tiny little home. Anyway, the venue was set up in a beautiful way- full of antique and vintage furniture items. They have restrooms, but I'm not sure if they have a kitchen. I've been told that they will set up the room however you'd like it. When I was there, they had out three very long tables and I think there were about 50 of us. They have a few parking spaces but I was able to park in the alley to the right of the building. Not sure if that's allowed. I will DEFINITELY be planning my next big event here! What a fun place!
