The guy in the green hat is RUDE. He mentioned multiple times about ONLY the "singlest women" being on stage.

Waste of space. This place needs to be shut down to make room for literally anything else. The drinks and service are bad. But not as terrible as the owner.

What a fun thing to do during your night out. The drinks were cheap and the vibes were great. There was a cover charge of $10 each, but they give the option to pay cash or card which is great if you want to save your cash to tip the pianists. The piano players play songs in order of highest tips first, and then work their way down from there, with a $20 minimum to get pulled on stage and have a song sang to you or a friend for celebrations. The Music is played through speakers outside as well as inside so be aware they do not say "curse words" from songs. There was only a few songs they announced they didn't know, but they were very interactive on the ones they did. This place is huge with community tables all over. There is not room for dancing, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. There is no food served here so keep that in mind, I likely would have given full stars if they had served anything like bar peanuts or beer pretzels at the least.

This place was so much fun! The location is downtown and is walkable from many places. There are many places to park within walking distance. They do not serve food, but there are many places to eat close by. We paid a $10 cover, but it was worth it. There is one bar where you can walk up and order a drink, but there are waitresses you can order with from your table. Our waitress was friendly and outgoing. There are tables all over, sort of like communal seating. Plenty of room for large parties or couples. The guys that were playing pianos and singing had SO much talent!! They can sing and play any song you request! Later in the night a man joined them to play drums, which was great. Be sure to bring cash and tip!! You can fill out a card to request a song, embarrass a friend and get them up on the big seat on stage, put a shout out on the board, get your football team up on the board, and more. It really is a fun place to go.

Fun evening! The piano players were talented and funny. Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us frequently throughout the night. They make it easy for you by letting you buying "wagon buck" vouchers to use when tipping the players when requesting songs. Drinks were served in plastic cups, which felt odd at $9-10 a glass for house red wine.

Request card, don't forget to tip!

Fun little spot for date night and drinks. The performer (wish I remembered his name!!) was amazing! He made the night so much fun, and is truly a talented pianist and singer. You're given a notepad that allows you to request a few different things from the entertainer, including musical selections. Most patrons requested country songs but the pianist himself reminded us all that he "does more than country" and even surprised us with a bad-ass Dr.Dre/Eminem rendition. I gave him an option in my request and he knocked out a PRINCE song out of the ball park-- SO GOOD! The bartender was sweet and friendly and recommended a great local beer. Drink prices were decent and the vibes overall- immaculate! We were there on a Monday which I imagine to be one of the slowest nights of the week- looking forward to going back on a weekend for the full dueling piano experience!

5 people from our group felt this place is homophobic. Among other things, they refused to play born this way by Lady Gaga. We felt a disgusted by this establishment. Update: in response to their response. Yes, they offered to sing other lady Gaga songs, which are not about gay pride. No one from our group of 5 human beings heard anyone offer to give our money back. We all felt disgusted and decided to leave. That's 5 people. Even the when they said they won't do the song, we heard homophobic comments in the audience. Why not do that song? Announcing you don't know it but knowing every other obscure song is a full on cop out. And their response to my review clearly showcases the sentiment in which we experienced when we were there. Rude, non compassionate, and non inclusive. Even if they avoid the song bc of their homophobic leaning target audience, do better. It's 2022. Be the change. It's Asheville. We ended up at a drag bar instead. Would recommend going there instead.

Ask the Community - Off the Wagon Dueling Piano Bar

    Is this place Kid friendly?

As long as your kid is 21 years old, isn't easily offended, has a valid ID, and can pay; then yes.

    What's the cover charge?

On Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday there is usually no cover. Friday and Saturday it can be $5 or $10. To guarantee the cheaper cover, we recommend getting there early or getting a reservation. On top of the cover is the state required membership…

Does anyone know how much a single or double would cost? Of Tito's soda

    A Tito's and soda with 1.5oz of Tito's is $8.25 ($8.83 after tax). A double Tito's and soda with 3oz of Tito's is $16.50 ($17.66 after tax).

We had great service. We started with the caviar appetizer. This consisted of caviar atop a crispy layered potato tot with creme'. It was delicious, albeit expensive for the portion size. I could have had a plate of those as my meal if the price was not so steep. My husband ordered the Elk (when in Rome!) and I had the Scallops based on a recommendation from the bartender in our club lounge. Both were excellent, but my husband's elk stole the show. It was worth every bite. It had the same crispy potato as the caviar set up and was an excellent pairing. Perfectly cook cooked to the chef's recommendation with a lovely reduction sauce to complement the meat. No "gamey" moment in the slightest. Super fresh! It was a great first experience with elk. My scallops were also impressively cooked to perfection. Not overdone- which I find restaurants guilty of doing all too often, and usually leads me to not order scallops. They were accompanied by a butternut risotto, fresh mushrooms and a sauce that escapes me. The portion size was appropriate for that price point. We did not have room for dessert, but we managed to sneak in an espresso martini and an old-fashioned to top the night off.

We are so glad we were told about this spot from another bar in town. Known as the oldest Gay bar in town, this place still serves up a great drink and plays some good music. And then my partner shines his light on it and explains that it shows my birthday, it's one of the ID's that have the star on it to confirm it as a "Real ID" in North Carolina. And that I am exactly 21 years of age. But even though we explained it the bartender said "I don't know, I don't know if we can accept vertical IDs". At that point, the owner immediately emerged and erupted with a profanity-laced tirade, using extreme verbal aggression and telling me to get out, claiming I was "jumping ahead." We left immediately. The venue itself was clean, but the management style felt hostile and unpredictable. I've since found years of similar reports on community forums and other travel sites regarding hostile owner interactions and a reportedly toxic environment for staff. There has even been past litigation involving serious workplace allegations. I strongly encourage anyone to do their own research beyond the star ratings before deciding to support this establishment. I will not be returning.
