My cousins are residents of Irvine so they were able to get a permit for our family reunion of 4…read moregenerations. There were almost 130 attendees!!! Upon arriving to the center, I noticed how clean and pretty the park was. The parking lot was conveniently close to the rec center. Perfect! We have so much supplies, food and decorations to bring in to the center. The automatic door opened and i went to the desk to sign in. There she was with a smiling face... KALIA! Kalia greeted us and was so sweet and helpful. She even offered us a cart to bring in all the drinks and food. It's almost as if we were at Kalia Rock Community Center. She made us feel so welcomed and at home. She gave us the 5 cent tour and said move in! If you're ever considering where you should have your family reunion, party or any type of gathering, this community center rocks! We used the bbq grills, the park is a stone's throw away, the kitchen is so spacious, the park set up 28 tables for us... it was absolutely the best venue ever! There are two parking lots with ample parking. There are a couple bridges separating the two sections of the park. There are tons of grassy areas throughout the park which make for good picnic spaces with blankets. You can make reservations for their multi-purpose room, meeting room, craft room, and picnic shelter for a fee.

The school lacked patience, and an inclusive approach to young children with different developmental needs. Most disappointing was the disconnect between the values the school claims to represent and the way our family was treated. Despite its connection to the JCC, we did not experience the compassion, acceptance, or sense of community that we associate with Jewish values. In contrast, Temple Beth El in Aliso Viejo welcomed our youngest son with warmth, kindness, and genuine support. They took the time to build a relationship with him and our family, and he is thriving there today. We saw a huge difference in just a few months. I can't even imagine why my son was so upset at the JCC and so happy at TBESOC. The difference between the two experiences has been absolutely remarkable- down to the background and tenure of the teachers. If you want a school that promotes actual Jewish values and truly cares for your children, Aronoff school is NT it.

The location used to be a former Edwards Theater, but since been converted for meetings and events. The entrance can be a little confusing walking in, but it's located right next to California Pizza Kitchen. You will see a flight of stairs and once you get up there, you'll be inside the building. We were on one side of the building, but did not see any visible elevators, so keep that in mind if you happen to come here. The restrooms are easily accessible and clean here, but nothing to really get excited about. There is a center lounging area, with multiple sofas that's between the meeting rooms. Parking is adjacent to the building, but can also be challenging as it shares parking with The Marketplace center. So you may have to walk a little further when you do come visit.

The staff is so friendly and helpful (I left my glasses and notebook behind at a meeting and they had everything waiting for me to pickup the next day). The programming is top notch - I wanted to move here to just to take some of the classes! And the artwork! I'm obsessed with public art and this Center delivers. I kept finding little hidden gems sprinkled across the grounds and the building. The patio is lit with fairy lights and actually comfortable seating options. You can rent out any of the spaces for meetings or events. This is everything a community center should be. A model for other towns.
