Being new to Pilates, I didn't know what to expect, but when I arrived Nicole instantly put me at ease by taking the time to go over the class structure, how the reformer works, and how to best follow along in my first class. She was really welcoming and thorough without being overwhelming or making things too easy, her instructions were easy to follow, and the class was a blast! I was a transfer student from six years atClub pilates, and in retirement life, I needed a closer studio. This studio is so gorgeous and after a few months here, I felt like I was part of their Pilates family! Amy, Lola, Tatiana, Izzy, and my main instructors, Sam and Leah, have done everything to help me succeed in my practice! They push me farther than I would push myself! They work with my arthritic hand and torn meniscus in my knees. They tell me to listen to my body! I have noticed a real improvement in my strength and get complimented by my friends on my legs and arms! I have to fight to stay in shape and I love this exercise so much that I will do it as long as I am able! Currently, I am a 60 year old woman fighting that menopause Weight gain and weight shift! My handicapped sister didn't exercise for years, and now she attends Pilates in her hometown! If you haven't tried Pilates, you owe it to yourself to fight the aging process! I've never taken a bad class here - Lola's early morning classes leave me feeling the best kind of sore and Samantha's sculpt classes are great too with killer music! I really loved the studio. It was calm and relaxing and the instructors were amazing. I needed to suspend my membership due to travel schedules, however, and could never get a return call or email after weeks of trying. While I eventually received an automated email saying my membership was suspended, it was only after I was charged another month. I left four voicemails and sent four emails, with the last couple of voicemails pleading for someone to please call me back. No one ever returned my call or sent a response to my emails. I am so disappointed by this. The space gives you the feeling of a first class establishment but their lack of communication and never responding to their members inquiries leaves me flabbergasted. Not what I expected at all from them. I was intending to go back after my travels but will not be returning. I will go back to Sage Yoga where they value their clients. read more

The studio is really large, clean, and beautiful. It had a very rustic minimalist look to it. There are gorgeous mirrors and lighting throughout the studio. The machines are clean and following class; the instructor passed out a bleach wipe for us to wipe down the carts, balls, etc. This was my first time trying Pilates, and the instructor was very helpful, and the hour class flew by. I'm definitely going to go back and maybe Pilates might become by go-to workout now. The instructor said that there were many first timers in her class and we all did great. One suggestion I would make, is it would be helpful to those who are completely new to Pilates to give an introduction and what is is exactly, how it's beneficial and maybe how the instructor got into it. I guess it's fair to say we all prob did our own research before trying it out but that would have been a nice introduction hearing it from the instructor. Also, informing the class what days Pilates is offered and if any specials are going on. read more

Straight Up Pilates has been a highlight for me since moving from the East Coast just over a year ago. The staff (I've taken at least one class with 4 of the current instructors) is wonderful and extremely helpful with corrections and any set-up guidance. Some teachers play music, some do not but either way I would never miss the chance for a class there. I have recently taken Anna's classes multiple times and she's a lot of fun-delivering the difficulty of the reformer method with some humor. Would recommend to a friend! read more

I decided to give Pilates a try after 3 years of back problems and 2 abdominal surgeries. I am amazed at the difference just 2 weeks has made on my core and how my back feels. My physical therapist said last week my pelvis is finally straightening out. On a Friday morning I woke with energy and excitement for my first Booty barre class with Krista at 9 AM. I was so excited. I got to the studio quite early, and was greeted by the lovely Amy (the owner) and a Mint aroma. Amy was so kind and made me feel so welcomed. As I waited I took a look around via her invitation and grooved to the country music. I loved the industrial/shabby chic decor. Every thing was in place and very clean. The studio was opened and relaxing so you felt at ease. I was extremely impressed by the outdoor area. It was a balcony overlooking a creek and trees. SERIOUSLY SO GORGEOUS! That While I was doing my bridges I looked up at the bright blue sky as a little plane flew by. I thought to myself this was one of the best decisions to take this class. Krista had an amaaaaze balls playlist and kept people smiling and burning. She is so welcoming and fun!I'm telling you, you won't regret taking a class with these awesome women. We used resistance bands, weights, and medicine balls. It was like a dance and strength training all in one. I'm in love and can't wait to take Amy's class next! read more

I walked into this studio without being able to touch my toes. Years of running and not stretching had taken its toll. After my first Pilates class I realized how much work I had to do but also how quickly with Amy's help I could make progress. After a few private sessions Amy came with me to meet with my physical therapist and discuss the best path forward. Amy's knowledge surpassed the physical therapists and thus I knew I had hit gold in finding choice her studio. 3 months, coming 5 days a week and my kyphosis is corrected and I can get hands flat on the ground.
