I changed my mind and told them on Wednesday I do not want to go ahead with the sale so they should have cancelled the service. When asked for the deposit they did not offer any of it back! I was a trusting consumer who believed more or less what was written in the ad. I brought a Mazda RX8 from this one-man band company and noticed with in a few days that the car had lost power. On taking it to a trusted mechanic to be serviced, he would not do that for me as he said if he changed certain things ie plugs it would not start again. After calling Speed Motors and getting no where I have had to take this up with trading standards, who advised me what to do and told me within the first 30 days i had my consumer rights. The only way speed motors would settle is if i agreed to give up the car i traded in a polo and pay £250-£350 in admin cost (it kept changing). I am now having to go to court over buying a car. AVOID .

Quite possibly the worst experience I have ever had with a car dealer…read more They were very acomodating when convincing me to part with my money, but after 24 hours of owning the car I bought and discovering the first of 3 faults with the car they soon became evasive and difficult to work with. They refuse to fix a fault passenger door lock and a broken coil spring which were discovered within 3 weeks of owning the car. At the time of writing this review they have had my car for 9 days to investigate a problem with rough idle. This is the only fault they seem to be interested in looking at as it falls under their 3 month warranty. After seeking further legal information D&J Auto's should also be covering the cost of the other repairs in accordance with the Sale of Goods Act 1979. Having relayed this information to Steve Scott and John Day the company directors they seem to completely ignore their legal obligation and avoid answering any question they don't like the sound of. We agreed a price and as we were doing the deal he then said the car didn't have an mot but he could either do it for us before it actually ran out (which was dec 2011) and that if there were any problems he would fix them as he 'always like to add a years mot to all the cars he sells' he couldn't fit us in and said he would deduct the £40 mot cost off the overall price so we could mot it else where, still promising he would fix any problems. So two days after purchasing the car I had it mot'd which it failed and when we contacted Dave he refused to sort it and was very rude to me on the phone. I wouldn't recommend anyone buying a car from Dave Fensome in leighton buzzard unless they are prepared for the possibility of getting ripped off. I now have to foot a bill for over 300
