She made an appointment and came to our home to discuss making this happen. Emily brought us a nice plant and a beautiful folder of greenhouse options. She had concerns about getting a greenhouse down a steep side yard. We said our good byes on a Monday and she said she would have options and prices for us on Friday. We were so excited. Friday came and went no call. Both my husband and I reached out the next week, no return call. The next week, the third Friday she responded to my husband and said she may have misspoken about getting back to us so soon. She never responded to my calls. Then she was never heard from again. Wow. We were shocked and saddened. I was titled by the staff in the Lake Oswego store as their number 1 retail customer. I guess the landscape division doesn't care if people shop there. So sadly, this double digit dream was not from them. The other team had no problem with the side yard. I guess D's does not care about their level of customer service or making a great sale. This was an epic customer service fail. If you are going to charge Nordstrom prices you better give Nordstrom customer service. Repotting in Winter before the growing season is what I do for all my houseplants. When I took this plant out of its tiny pot there was only one root that is about half an inch long. Shocked that I was sold a plant that was never well rooted to begin with. It's chances were not good and it's not thriving at all. I am very experienced with snake plants and own several. After this experience I will never shop there again! I think it is an extremely bad business practice to sell plants from cuttings that are not well rooted. I don't like leaving bad reviews but plants are expensive now and I think people should know what is going on in this store.

It was wonderful to be able to call Big Trees and set a time to see their trees. Daniel took us around and also helped us as we considered several types of trees. We determined that a Somerset Red Maple would be large enough and that it would be relatively easy on yard maintenance. The tour helped us decide that we really needed a tall (30' feet) to enjoy in the next few years. Big Trees was excellent at setting up a date and delivering the tree. It was amazing just to watch the equipment as they dug the hole and planted the tree (see pictures). Now we just need to follow their directions. Felix and the staff planting the tree were easy to work with. They helpled take down and reinstall part of our fence and they cleaned upt he site very well.

Anyone can make money if they never take responsibility for what they sell. And this wasn't even a one-time experience. Nearly everything we've purchased from this particular store has had issues, defects, or outright failures. Getting anyone there to help is like talking to a wall. No ownership, no urgency, no accountability. Just endless "you'll have to call someone else" nonsense from employees who clearly have been trained to avoid responsibility at all costs. At this point, it feels like Home Depot is less interested in customer service and more interested in being a middleman for defective junk while leaving customers stuck dealing with the consequences. Companies like this wonder why customers stop coming back and why people are abandoning big-box stores. I was fortunate enough to see some of their handiwork at an event held in the yard of someone who had previously discovered them. Hearing about what that space had looked like before and seeing the magical landscape that had been created there, I knew my wife and I needed to meet Nick Lake. Since then, he and his fantastic team have completely transformed our outside space into the most beautiful part of our home. Nick is an absolute treasure trove of inspiration and information. From the moment we first met with him, we knew we wanted to proceed as soon as possible. We didn't have pressing issues that made landscaping work an "emergency" (e.g., no water problems directly related to the yard), so an outside project easily could have waited. We also did not have a high level of horticultural knowledge, nor did we even know exactly what we wanted when we first started talking to Nick. We knew our yard had "potential", i.e. it was a smallish but not tiny, pretty drab space that wasn't particularly functional and wasn't much to look it. It was our conversation with Nick and his vision for the yard that made us want to move forward at that time and turn it into something great. Since then, with a combination of "demo" work, mulching, softscaping and hardscaping, every aspect of our yard has become a thing of beauty that we see and enjoy every single day. Throughout the process, Nick and his team have worked closely with us on every decision and every detail. Nick plays an integral role in all parts of the process and communication with him and his team has always been easy, fun, rewarding, and thorough. There have never been any surprises in terms of cost or how something was done. As a result, everything is exactly what was discussed and we could not be any happier with it. Nick certainly deserves the lion's share of the credit as the owner of the business, the mastermind behind the work, and a hands-on contributor to the implementation. This was not even part of the original plan, just an off-the-cuff idea (thanks to Kyle, Tommy, Daniel and Tashana if memory serves) to which we could have said "no thanks" if we were that foolish. Even once there are more pictures to add, they can only do so much. Nick knows he is always welcome to swing by and show off the beauty, which keeps getting better with every growth season. Whether we are sitting in the yard, walking through it to get to or from the house, or just staring at it through a window, we count ourselves lucky that this is actually part of our home. This is a newish location so that…read moreprobably helps, but the store has a nice mix of new grills and mod gadgets along with all the basic essentials every neighborhood hardware store should have - fasteners, screws, tools, chains, screens and such. It's not huge and the aisles are a bit narrow but the signage is good, lighting is nice and bright, and associates are super helpful. Prices are on the higher side but the parking lot is pretty roomy and even better, there's a Trader Joe's next door so you can do one-stop shopping.
