Before I started this review, my son said "How many stars should we give art camp?" and when I…read moreasked how many he wanted to give, he emphatically said "5 Stars!" LOL the child has spoken! 5 stars it is! There are so many camps to chose from in the East Bay but what we have been loving about Aran's Art Camp is the intimate group size: there's no more than 10 kids per art camp and we've lucked out with an even smaller group during our time here. The camp is taught by a mix of Aran herself and her staff and they've been nothing but wonderful. My kiddo comes home from art camp every day bursting at the seams about everything he's worked on and learned (giving me safety tips about glass fusing and teaching me what a pinch pot is!) and he looks forward to going back each day. Each week is a different theme so if you wanted to sign up for multiple sessions, your child will definitely be working on something different each time. While the hours are 10-2, they offer before and after care for an additional fee which basically turns this into an all day camp if you were to maximize on the 9-3 aspect of it. There's a lot of half day camps out there so if you use their before and after camp, you get a good chunk of the day covered! Lastly, they go to the park every day after lunch to let them move around and get some sunshine and Fridays is pizza day! My kid said he would love to come back to art camp again next summer.

It's pretty quiet in here compared to other places which I love! Parking is super easy since it's in a plaza, the people that work at this studio are super friendly and nice, and they offer so many other activities - I saw a kids painting night happening before, they have glass fusing, etc. They also have an area in the back where it looks like they do most of the classes so the pottery painting is almost always available!!

I had to update--I wrote it on the wrong spot, Haha!…read more My family and I love Dadan Performing Arts Center! First off, Regine, was/is our first point of contact and she has been very sweet and accommodating since day 1 of me reaching out, our first meeting and every day, till now. Everything my children needed in terms of classes/class scheduling, they've been very helpful and responsive. My children have been wanting to take lessons for a while and although I play instruments myself--life does get hectic and very busy. Plus, I think it's healthy that children learn from a variety of different people to also develop their social skills. We met Mr. James who did our drum consult and he is amazing and super nice! Mr. John also made my kids comfortable the very first time we had a piano consult. Ms. Tiana who is the front desk is super sweet! Mrs. Cynthia is also very nice and informative. My kids admire and have grown comfortable with their teachers. Mr. Jeff who has one of my children for saxophone lessons. Mr.Corey who my other child used to have for drum lessons, but due to scheduling, we are now with Mr. Ruben. Yet, we love them all the same! My children are shy at first, but when they like someone, they want to stick with that someone. I love listening to their practices and I love that my kids enjoy attending their lessons, not only because they are learning the instrument they want to learn, but they also enjoy their teachers. My kids finally get to attend their lessons, because they don't feel so intimidated and they feel welcomed with the nice vibes this music studio has. I'm hoping to include and/or mix lessons around for different instruments my children want to learn in the future with this studio. Hope we stick around for a while! Thanks Dandan for all of your efforts and patience for my family, I appreciate it most for my children :)

5 stars for Kristy and H.A.R.D…read more 0 star for Mega Math. They are a scam. We signed up for the EV3 robotics with embedded programming camp this week, the instructor 's name is Megha Salpekar. She is unprofessional and no manner. The class was unstructured and was not teaching in a classroom setting. She just put the Lego and laptops on the floor so the kids will have to work independently. However, no scope of project or theme was given. It's all free build. My son has never taken any programming class so he doesn't know anything about it. So he keeps asking the teacher questions about how it works. After "too many" questions asked, she scream at him and told him to go back to his seat and do his own stuff. He got frustrated because the teacher was not helpful and not provide any guidance, so he play video games for 3 hours. He said the teacher said it's okay to play video games because it's summer time. After learning the situation on the first day, I talked to Kristy trying to find a solution and then I also went to talk to the teacher on the second day. She was showing me the program that they use on the laptop. After asked my second question trying to find out how the class was structured, she started to get mad and yell at me. She seems to get annoyed pretty easily and have no patience with kids or parents. She's already not teaching and when you ask "too many" question, she will yell at you. Please avoid at all times. Most of their classes in H.A.R.D were cancelled. Now I know why. So their class was just to provide the laptop, software and Legos. Then she gets angry if you ask question. For $330, why don't I just get the stuff at home and we can play it for longer than a month! We have spike prime at home and my son enjoys it too and do not need to get yelled at.

The entire team is professional, caring, and genuinely invested in the children's growth and well-being. The school organizes thoughtful, well-planned events throughout the year, and it's clear that a lot of care goes into creating a positive experience for both children and families. This was my daughter's very first school experience, and I was naturally nervous about the transition. Thanks to the warm, patient, and nurturing staff, her transition was smooth, comfortable, and welcoming. They helped her feel safe and confident from day one, which meant so much to our family. I truly appreciate the dedication of the entire team and highly recommend this school to any family looking for a caring, organized, and supportive environment for their child

This camp was very misleading. I enrolled my son in the 6-9 soccer camp and all sports camp (9:00…read moreAM-4:00 PM), expecting structured soccer instruction. Instead, the day typically didn't start until 9:30 AM and was essentially over by 3:30 PM, with kids sitting around waiting for pickup. On the first day, one coach kicked a ball into my son's head and then disappeared for the rest of the week. My son came home every day saying he learned no soccer skills because there was little to no coaching. They didn't even play soccer on the last day. Most activities were random games unrelated to soccer. Afternoons consisted mainly of crafts, Legos, and a bounce house--fun activities, but not what was advertised. The check-in process was also disorganized. The receptionist repeatedly struggled to find my son's registration because she was confused about first and last names, despite his information being clearly visible in the system. She claims everyone makes mistake and that's ok, please tell this to your boss, not me. This camp has potential, but it is poorly managed and does not deliver what it promises. Updated based on Russ's feedback - the name in the system was correct because when your receptionist can't find it and handed me the iPad, I was able to look it up and it looks right. However, looks like it was sorted by first name but she asked for last name. I understand it was supposed to be very structured, but during class, it was not the case. My son even asked the coach to teach him how to kick and shoot better but the coach ignored him.

Like LOVED IT. I am writing this at the end of the week because my son was demanding I cancel next week's camp somewhere else so he can go back to Cometa. They have great hours, well-planned days with lots of opportunities to learn and practice Spanish, daily outings using their vans (the outings were very fun for our kiddo), and home cooked meals and snacks. Our kid did the "cooking" week and he was truly transformed by it. I think the staff did a great job choosing simple recipes that were delicious too and were very patient and caring during the lesson. Everyday they made something new and that was super fun. We are so happy with the staff, they were very professional and child-centered, and exuded warmth and a sense of belonging for the little ones. We plan to come back next summer and for other camps during the school year. They do aftercare too, but we're based in San Leandro so that doesn't work for us. Nevertheless, their afterschool program sounds really wonderful too.

She really loves going and always looks forward to it. Plus, the school pick-up has been super easy with no problems at all. We also participated in their summer program and loved that the kids were getting exposed to different settings like a ranch and my child loved seeing chickens and horses. I'd definitely recommend this program to other families!

For after school, our child loves it. They don't usually want to go when we pick them up. They play with the other kids indoors and outdoors and do arts and crafts . There is a time where they can do their homework. The staff is all very caring and helpful. And the pricing seems very reasonable and it includes afternoon snacks. Summer camp was also great. Snacks were included, but lunch was not. There is an option to pay for hot lunches once or twice a week. Our first year, it was a little confusing how to get in touch with them by their website. But once we connected, things were then fine. They have updated their internet presence and have their payment system. With these things on top of them just being very well run makes them a great place to send out child.

I think my kids would rather spend their whole day here instead of going to class! They provide exactly what we need for our before and after school care needs. They even provide breakfast and snacks. They have a designated homework time after school too. My son has had a more difficult transition with starting Kinder, and Kidscare has been great about communicating how his days or mornings were, and they've worked with his teacher to help with the morning transitions. It's become a lot easier, and I'm thankful for their support. One of the most important things to me though was knowing my kiddos can be there and get a hug if needed. It's more important for me that my children have a warm and comfortable environment for their care above all else. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because the tuition rate isn't very clear online and it's a bit high for the hourly with two kids, but you do what you gotta do to make it happen!!! They've been very accommodating with our whacky schedule and they're great with communicating on their end.
