When they resumed activities after being shutdown during the height of Covid, they maintained strict mask mandates, sanitization habits and social distancing. This was actually quite effective and is evidenced by the fact that their first Covid outbreak happened within a month of getting rid of the mask mandate, which was few months after kids vaccines were available. All staff are kind, nurturing and respectful. There was a change of ownership in mid 2022 and the new owner Seema is very enthusiastic and is determined to ensure the school performs at its best in all aspects. They are open to feedback and constant improvement. We also like the mix of kids from a variety of ethnicities giving our daughter a chance to develop friendships beyond racial and cultural differences. We have seen a lot of teacher churn over the 2 yrs but luckily all replacements have been able to maintain the quality. We wish the allergy standards are more strictly enforced in potlucks or parent sponsored birthday foods. All major holidays are celebrated well, so there is good community building and the weekly newsletter and updates on ProCare app are great. We will miss sending our daughter here. My daughter has been learning progressively through iBest's curriculum and enrichment courses and I truly think that her public school education alone would not get her to where she is now. She often recites or sings what she learned here, which goes to show how much she enjoys the learning process. I always feel confident knowing that her after school teachers are helping her learn beyond her school curriculum and setting her up for academic success. I'm often busy to check her homework but when I do, I'm amazed at how much she has learned within a few weeks. In addition to their academic program, I really appreciate the staff's genuine care. Jessica, Annie, Yiping, and Lan-- they are all great and superb with their communication in-person, via email, or phone. I can feel that they prioritize the safety and well-being of my child, for example, by calling me to double confirm if someone picked her up from school when they heard from their driver that I had texted for no pick-up that day. Also, I'm not sure how they keep up with the details but they somehow manage to remember what she brought to school that day (stuffed doll, what type of outerwear - jacket/cardigan, her water bottle, etc). They also check to make sure my kid finished her packed lunch at school; if not they help heat it up for her to finish. Lastly, I'm sure working parents would be thrilled to know that iBest has been really great about opening and offering childcare on days that public schools (randomly) close. They are open pretty much all year with the exception of major holidays. This is our first year of public school and I've heard from other working parents about the complexity of finding multiple weekly summer programs- but I'm so grateful that iBest provides all of this. I get to meet the teacher whenever request and communicate about my child's performance. The staff also watch the little kids closely to make sure they finish their lunch and drink plenty of water, which is a big release for me. Now it's been two years and counting, and she's still not sick of it -- not even close. If anything, she loves it more than when she started.
