It's not a mommy and me class. I love that I'm able to sit and observe the kids while they play without a parent coaxing or leading them. It always felt off watching an adult try to get my child to do something she wasn't ready to do or interested in (looking at you Gymboree). I wish I would've started RIE sooner.

I have come to realize the firm, in Mission Hills, controlled by the CEO/BCBA lacks an 'inspired…read moregrowth' in company culture and inability to provide a healthy work environment. This specific firm seems to abide by social cliques and favoritism, making it difficult to collaborate as a team and move up in positions. The lack of respect, synergy, and compassion has hemorrhaged quality workers. Their lack of staff (BTs/BCBA) is due to: Abrupt schedule changes, extensively watching you work through cameras, hostile training, CEO/BCBA shifting blame to BTs, and inability to give a WELL DESERVED promotion. There is a lot of restraints/holds that are not documented or shared. CEO/BCBA has dual relationships with certain clients and is NOT proactive with their clients. If you agree with how they treat their employees, imagine the impact they have with your child. They have withheld information to parents about what happens in the workplace, and has had the police called on them to IMMEDIATELY share a report to insurance and to parents. Look somewhere else! This forced plenty of Behavioral Technicians to spread their ethics very wide, while simultaneously being gaslighted, micromanaged, and exploited. This is a toxic, passive aggressive, workplace that does not hold empathy for their employees. You will exhaust your efforts working alongside the incompetent CEO/BCBA. The micromanagement and dishonesty due to their lack of mentorship has driven many people out of the company. Here's a piece of advice: Treat ALL of your colleagues with kindness, they are the backbone of your company. Turn your attention to your clients best interests and continually build rapport. Don't bite off more than you can chew! Projection is uncanny in the workplace.

When Big Solutions came into our lives we were hesitant because these were strangers who were going to socialize with our son and as parents we were scared of negative outcomes. Julian's journey began with his initial assessment and eventually to in home therapy. He was assigned 3 therapists including 1 supervisor. They (Ari, Claudia, Joy, & Paulina) are blessings!!! They connected with Julian but also became our teachers! They helped all of us with Julian's needs and how to understand what he was seeking, whether it be physical or emotional. As a parent with a child with autism, sometimes it's too easy to become frustrated and lose hope in any progress they may not meet. An example was my son's eloping. His father and I had no clue how to predict it or manage it. We would all take excursions to our local mall and his therapists were there with us the entire time. We learned to predict when he would run off, and why. He was seeking attention and sometimes just over stimulation so we learned to ask him to use verbal and non verbal cues of where he wants to go. Fast forward to three weeks ago while visiting an outlet shopping center (yes we wore masks) and we practiced all of those steps and he didn't elope! Had it not been for Big Solutions I would not see us going out with much ease as we have been. This is an agency that turned our life around and became part of our family while maintaining their professionalism. Big Solutions ENTIRE staff, from scheduling to in home, were amazing and extremely accommodating. They consistently helped Julian with communicating in various ways and adjusting to unexpected changes that happened every day. Big Solutions also helped us as parents in not give up and letting frustration and fear run our lives. They taught us so much and how to cope with unexpected outbursts and helping our son focus on his school. My husband and I felt confident the ferber method was safe and effective but it was nice to have an expert, in our home to help further assure us this was the best way forward. And considering our child cried so much regardless, it was a pretty smooth transition and worked really well. My feedback for Lacey is two things. One, I would encourage her to design her documents to be more personalized for each client. Anyone can google or even ChatGPT the ferber method, but clients are looking for an elevated experience when hiring a personal expert. It would be nice to have documents that are personalized to my conversations, issues or even use my child's name. if that's too much work, I suggest to have 2 versions of the documents; one for "she" and one for "he." The second is about communication and follow up. Lacey mentioned in person, and in emails to "feel free to reach out with any questions at anytime!" and that bumps along the way can happen so she encouraged us to always reach out to her. Well, I did, several times and never got a response. I don't know why or what happened - did I misunderstand the offer? was it just a empty platitude? was I de-prioritized for her higher tiered clients? - But it left an uneasy feeling in my gut, considering I was reaching out during a couple very difficult sleep regressions and I was (at those moments) parenting alone and in desperate need of guidance. If it was my misunderstanding about her boundaries with clients after the initial services have ended, then my feedback is to make it clear when communication is completed and not to offer any "niceties." Overall Lacey is a well trained, deeply experienced and lovely personality for sleep training services. With some adjustments in communication effectiveness, I would recommend her.

I hired Lacey based on a recommendation from someone else that had the same issues with their baby…read morethat I did. Lacey was super responsive at first when it came to the plan. But once we started, we started having a lot of issues with naps, early wake ups, a lot of things running into feedings. I kept trying to explain to her the issues that we were having, and it would take her a very long time to respond. He went from sleeping decently well, to sleeping horrendously these last couple of weeks. She said a lot of it was to be expected, but had no real suggestions on how to fix it. When I would message her on WhatsApp, it would take hours for responses or I wouldn't even get a response. The Ferber like method she uses work just fine. My baby was actually very much ready to be put down by himself without any sort of assistance. So that was never the issue. He was falling asleep with little to no check ins from day one. I recommend looking into figuring out how your baby is going to respond to sleep training/you teaching them how to self soothe on your own. You can ask ChatGPT and even upload your logs from whatever app you're using and it will give you a very helpful response. I use huckleberry. So that and chatgpt was way more helpful than a sleep consultant. I am not sold on this at all. A lot of money wasted, imo.
