My husband and I really liked them so I needed to go back to buy 3 more. When I went the first time, they were going through inventory and the curtains were not out on the floor. I asked an employee if there were any in the back. He said "Yeah but because of inventory we can't get them. I can't go in the back cause it'll be in a box somewhere. Come back next week." I was a bit perplexed - so you refuse to sell me curtains because of inventory? I've done inventory with stores before and I've never heard of this. Such a wasted trip. So I call the store a week and a half later to ask - the employee goes to the curtain dept to look for them. I try to give her the UPC# but she doesn't want it, she's looking via the description. She says "They're probably in the back and I'm not going back there. It's in a box somewhere. They're unloading a truck now so it'll be out soon." I ask why it says there are 5 in stock online? She says "Well it's probably 5 cause there's 5 in the truck coming to the store right now." Even though it has said there's 5 in stock for the past 2 weeks. So my question would be - how unorganized is it in the backroom that no employee wants to go back there to check merchandise?? Is it just me or is that crazy?

As soon as I walked in, I wondered why it had taken me so long to check it out. Located in an old warehouse, CMI doesn't have that warehouse feel. A good size room, filled with hand-braided rugs and baskets, the place is cheerful and inspiring. Even though I wasn't looking to buy anything, I just couldn't resist purchasing a Pawtucket rug (made from scraps of fabric) and a basket (perfect for storing those odds and ends). The staff were friendly and helped with moving rugs, giving the background to how they are made, and helping to roll them up for take away. While I was there during a huge sale, it seems that even the normal prices are pretty reasonable, as it was, I got a full area rug for less money that my IKEA rug cost me. And it is more beautiful, better made, and local. S This place has been there for 20 years, and is still a hidden gem.

I appreciate the sales the store frequently has. Everything I purchased was at least 40% off. Compared to other "craft" stores, I believe Hobby Lobby has the best prices and most eclectic variety of items. A few downfalls include paying for bags to bring your purchased items out and some of their political affiliations and policies. However, I'm finding it difficult to find any Apolitical business and political neutrality is rare today.

I was shopping at BJ's Wholesale Club and suddenly the fire alarm went off, so I walked to Hobby Lobby to check it out and stay warm. The store was huge and when you walk in, there are aisles of holiday items from gift tags, wrapping paper, gift boxes, stockings, wreaths, and other decor items. Throughout the other aisles are fabric, wall decor, books, party items, frames, paper crafts, and so much more. All aisles were labelled and fully stocked. I purchased car coasters as a gift. There were multiple registers open and the cashier was friendly. Service was quick. I will definitely come back to Hobby Lobby when I need supplies for a DIY project or a party.
