The lobby was very pretty and modern, and very big. The roomss were nice and seemed to be pretty clean. They weren't too small, and had a bit of room to move around. They did have a small table and seating that you could eat at. I thought it was pretty neat that the table had a switch to make it rise up. There is a shower but no tub, which was fine with me. The room came with a refrigerator. They have an indoor outdoor pool and a hot tub. Because it was cold the outdoor pool was blocked off as expected. There wasn't an attendant on duty, but there were several workers replacing towels and such. One thing that I will say was a little bit disappointing during our stay, was that there did not seem to be an attendant at the desk most of the times that we needed one. At one point we tried to call the front desk several times to ask for towels, and got no answer. We also had multiple issues with our keys. They had trouble programming it, and another time they just stopped working. Overall the stay was fine despite the minor inconveniences, and id give it another chance. The location to the airport was nice and there were actually quite a few airline employees there, along with some type of convention. Parking was free so that was a plus, and i think they offer an airport shuttle as well.

The high ceiling and natural light made the space feel large and welcoming. I was a little alarmed by the large totem pole in the corner of the building as it had some faces that seemed a little scary to me, but I don't think any of the kids even noticed. They even have a little "scavenger hunt" sheet so you can try to find all the different animals and figures carved into this tall structure. There is plenty of parking, although we ended up in the lot closer to the silos, which was a short walk to the building. (According to their website, this lot is actually now closed until the beginning of June.) The silos were a cool feature of the park, and they actually have rock climbing walls on them! I saw some kids climbing and tried it out for myself - unfortunately I definitely wasn't wearing the proper footwear, but it's something unique and cool that I haven't really seen at many other parks. There is a small play area here for kids. I'd love to come back again later this spring to check out the trail down to the Grand River. There's a canoe landing at the park which is great for summer. The whole park covers 240 acres! I'm sure there's lots of great wildlife spotting, so I'm looking forward to doing some birdwatching here soon.

Amazing Venue for Our Dream Wedding!…read more Venue3Two is an INCREDIBLE place to celebrate a wedding in West Michigan! My husband and I were looking for a beautiful venue with historic charm, & we were blessed to find this gem so close to home! Spending the morning at Venue3Two as we prepared for the ceremony was such a peaceful experience! As I got my hair & makeup done, as we got dressed, as we did our first look, as we took pictures with the bridal party, I was just amazed by the romantic elegance found in every corner & every room of the 1920s mansion! Then, after we returned from the ceremony at my church, one of my favorite moments of the day was bustling my dress in the bridal suite on the second floor & looking out the window to the backyard where I saw guests relaxing on the terrace & enjoying cornhole & giant jenga (outdoor games the venue provided). During the cocktail hour and reception, I loved being able to enjoy drinks in the great room as well as the charcuterie table in the dining room, being able to feel the sunshine through the large windows as we dined in the conservatory, & being able to find delicious desserts in the kitchen. Another one of my favorite parts of the venue was the fireplace in the great room where we displayed the family wedding photos on top of the mantle. Every time I walked past it, I found guests & other vendors taking a look at the photos which made me smile! We also had our engagement photos displayed on the giant TV in the conservatory which people loved to look at throughout the cocktail hour & reception! In the evening, the terrace was magical with its outdoor lights providing a perfect romantic setting for the rest of the night. I can't believe how smoothly everything ran throughout the day, and that is because of the incredible service provided by the Venue3Two team! They were very professional & attentive, and my venue coordinator, Stochia McDaniel, was so incredibly helpful as we discussed & planned the big day for several months! I heard numerous comments from guests at how beautiful the venue is, and I loved sharing their inspiring mission statement (if you haven't yet, please check it out: https://www.venue3two.com/investment). I can't sing enough praises of Venue3Two for making my dream wedding a reality!

I surprised him by ubering him a churrasco plate! I opted for the Brazilian sausage a $3.49 upcharge for leg of lamb, garlic mash, cucumber salad and Brazilian cheese bread was included along with a side of chimichurri. Total $24.95 plus delivery and tip around $34. It was love at first bite! However, the more bites he had the more overpowering the spices became. We stopped using the chimichurri early on due to the garlic heavy imbalance in every item of food (excluding the cucumber salad). It was good, but definitely garlic and sodium heavy. The plate was enough for him and unfortunately he complained of a terrible stomachache a couple of hours later. Luckily, I made a homemade briyani for dinner and that helped push it all down and he felt much better after some home cooking! Happy Father's Day, hope y'all were spoiled too!

At the salad bar, the pineapple carpaccio (thinly sliced pineapple with sugar) was a standout! Trust me. You want to get this and eat your meat with it. Our favorite meats was the picanha, filet wrapped in bacon, lamb, and the tritip. Only one meat was a disappointment which was the spicy sirloin. It was overcooked and ineditable. But no problem, plenty to chose from! Thank you Gabi for your wonderful service! Gabi helped us flag a waiter down for our much anticipated picanha. She was very helpful and attentive. We feel very lucky and blessed to eat here tonight! And extra blessed to be seated near the kitchen, so we could see when all the delicious meats came out!

Gym and pool. Also a grill outside and what appears to be a fire pit. When I first arrived, a staff member was going above and beyond for another customer- with a room upgrade and offering to call her staffing company for payment etc. I had mobile check in, so while he acknowledged me, I knew it was going to be awhile so I just went to my room. The room is incredibly spacious. It's almost bigger than my first apartment. My room doesn't have an oven, but I heard there are rooms with ovens. I have a microwave, toaster, small electric stove and cookware. I was surprised to see a full fridge and freezer! Nice paper towels- the ones that feel like fabric. There are plenty of seating options- high top bar seating, couch seating with a mobile table, and desk seating. The bed is comfortable with many pillows- although none are strictly down/feather. Oh well. The towels are plush - one of mine had a dried out bloody booger on it from a prior guest. Maybe they flung it on to a folded clean towel and the cleaning staff didn't change it, and left it there. Who knows. Soaps and shampoo etc are standard for Marriott. Shower head has many options. Water is decently hot but depends on when you're using it. Lobby has coffee in the morning and breakfast room does not open until 6:30am, which is a tragedy. We are at work before then. In fact, I bet more than half of their guests leave before breakfast is open. I spoke to the guy at the desk about this, on Monday, and he was so nonchalant about it. Not even apologetic. Basically that's the time and the time has always been 6:30 and that's that. Well, I explained to him that other Marriott's in town have their breakfast ready at 5:30! He didn't seem to care. I asked if he wouldn't mind to pass that on to management and he shrugged and said their hotel is owned by some group and 6:30 is the time. Waste of my breath trying to tell this guy that they could do better and maintain more repeat guests if they could just budge a little. He did offer to grab me a yogurt as a consolation prize. I declined. I didn't want a yogurt- I want the hotel to do better. I will not recommend this hotel to other medical contractors because of the breakfast not being available at a useful time. Fairfield inn north and springhill suites north both have their breakfast ready by 5:30; I will stay there again in the future.
