OK, so first of all you have to pay upfront before they will enter the property and it costs more than most .....Hmmmmm!?!?!? Should be a huge clue and concern RIGHT OFF the BAT! And then when he does finally shows up....not when he says he would, he barely comes out to barely do his specialty to barely put what forthcoming you've paid a whopper for already, let alone asked him to do, so you email and call and complain and try to make it better so that he can do his specialty better yet (It's costing the customer even more $$$$$$ money, time, and energy!!!)......Does not return phone calls, no response, no reaction or return...just takes money and ignores customer. Yet, He still doesn't get the job done and you very clearly tell him what you want done, now cowardly "Millennials habit being GHOSTED"......but he has a very arrogant attitude towards you because he is the specialist of his world, yet is too much of a pretty boy to get the job done!!!! Doesn't want to get his feet wet. The state of Texas of real men, those who surveys for Statie daily jobs go out in any element possible to get the job done ARE not pretty boys. They are Cowboys. Rain or shine, heat or wetness, snakes, spiders, hmm whatever is part of the environment...part of the surveyors job. They know what their specialty involves. They're in Texas. They weren't born in Hollywood-city slickers. This is not the first survey company that we have used, maybe "you" should consider another field of interest because you are not following through and doing your job specialty to the very best that you should do, especially for this price point! Your customer does more work than you do! Cancels on a specific day that works for the customer but works better for "Pretty Boy" him and yet changes the time yet again because it works better for him and his little world so not recommended because the job really doesn't get done the way you extremely high-end pay for! He didnt get it done by his promised time, He was a week late.. The Title company said he would get it done efficiently and timely even tho he is higher priced than other surveyors (he is $150 more at $583 than other surveyors at $433), but I agreed to do to so to close faster and not on the last day of the contract.. , The closing was held up due to his delays.. When he could not deliver he did not bother to inform the Title company he wasn't able to deliver it by the date he promised so we could of gotten another surveyor who would of gotten it completed when requested.. read more

I order surveys on a regular basis for work. GSI has always been responsive to emails and calls. (Some surveyors ghost you when they can't meet deadlines promised) They are competively priced and meet the time frame quoted. PRE-PAY UP FRONT?!!! That should've been a sign not to use this guy. Terrible communicator. He will not answer a call. Go ahead and call him and see! Shelby then promised a timeframe of 5-7 business days to finish. Took almost 4 weeks. His team consisted of a bartender and a couple of other guys he found somewhere. None of them could answer a question when asked. After the disappointment of this experience I went back to his website to look at the referrals he so proudly listed. Most of them are no longer in business (if they ever were), and the ones still in business didn't know who this company was. And ALL of them had the same web designer do their websites that Shelby has used. No such thing as coincidence on this. I was out of town for some time and my wife dealt with him. Evidently he doesn't like dealing with women. He set a meeting with us to go over his survey, and canceled it the day before, telling me to email him questions. Errors on multiple surveys. Never answers or returns calls. The title company also has issues getting a hold of this company. Did not set rods on multiple properties surveyed. Moving forward, we will ask our title company to not use this company to survey my properties. Still waiting for original corrected survey drawings. Had this company out to locate or place if not present two iron rod markers on a small residential property. I was very specific about the two markers to be located or iron rods added if not present. I had a previous survey including a drawing done when I purchased the property and that survey company was no longer in business to rehire let alone contact. Two markers (marked iron rods) were on point and located with the survey drawing I had already but two were not and appeared to be off by several feet according to the drawing. I needed to have fence replaced and so I wanted the two missing markers in question located or added correctly for the new fence. And I was ok paying for a full new survey to get this accomplished since the survey company won't do just a partial job. Geomatic Solutions was recommenced to me. I made the appointment and was clear about the two markers I wanted located and preserved or new ones added if none were found. I was promised it would not be a problem. I took the day off to be home the day the surveyor would be there so I could provide the map drawing of the survey I had in possession point out the markers I knew were present and be there so he could show me the two markers that I could not locate. This service was prepaid when the appointment was made. The surveyor was a young guy seemed nice enough and I explained everything. I did outside work to make myself available while he was there. He wasn't there long and he had been going back and forth to his truck a few times. Eventually I noticed he had left. Never even tried to show me anything and didn't say a word. He tied a pink ribbon on a tree branch in the vicinity of where the property corner should be and tied a second pink ribbon on a piece of the rotten fence picket that was of course being replaced. I thought maybe he went to lunch. Over the course of a couple days following I had called and left several messages to address what hadn't been completed. Finally I got a call through and spoke to the owner when they would be coming back to install permanent markers since the surveyor did not find any existing ones nor did he install new ones. The owner was really gruff with me and said they would come back out to install rods. But no one ever did and after a couple phone calls and messages I gave up. Unfortunately for me I had to prepay for this job when I made the schedule. This hard lesson cost me $460. Geomatic Solutions charged me $460 for two pieces of plastic pink ribbon one tied to a tree branch and one tied to a rotten fence picket. No drawings (which I was told was not included) no papers saying anything about the job or any results. Not even a word from the guy who tied the pink ribbons. I paid $460 for two pink ribbons that were placed in the general vicinity of my property boundaries. Keep in mind I pointed out these two areas when I met the surveyor. I learned nothing new and the two property markers were neither found and preserved nor new ones added in the absence of existing markers. I was not shown anything new and I was not given a single piece of paper or emailing with any information whatsoever on it. All I had was two pieces of pink ribbon. I paid $460 because I was promised that the two markers in question would be either found and preserved or new ones added in their absence. That was not delivered. Geomatic Solutions did not deliver what they promised and what I paid for. They did however process my payment. Therefore in light of my experience I have to rate Geomatic Solutions very poor with a bottom line I would simply not recommend.
