She stayed close, aisle to aisle, watching me the whole time while other customers shopped freely without being trailed. Let me be very clear: I was wearing leggings, a sweatshirt, and a denim jacket. My purse was barely large enough to hold my iPhone, let alone conceal clothing. We were in town for the holidays in Seaside and stopped in because the weather was far colder than expected we genuinely needed warmer gear. There was absolutely no reason for this level of scrutiny. The message was loud and clear: I was being singled out. It was humiliating, unnecessary, and deeply unacceptable. I regret not returning my items on the spot, but like many people in situations like this, I worried about "making a scene." That internal hesitation the pressure to stay quiet while being treated unfairly is exactly what makes this kind of behavior so damaging. This wasn't about loss prevention. It was about poor judgment and profiling, and it created a hostile customer experience. North Face markets itself as an inclusive, values-driven brand. This store did not reflect those values at all! Management needs to address this behavior immediately. No customer should feel surveilled, targeted, or uncomfortable simply for walking into a store to shop. He highly recommended them and told us he buys all his fishing gear from them. A day later we were at LKO picking out all sorts of neat clothing for fishing and generally hanging out. Love the fit, finish, design, etc. I have two pairs of shorts and a pair of warm fishing pants with lots of pockets... The mark of a good business is always how well they deal with problems. The zipper on the pants failed. I just called and they simply asked for my name and address, etc. and are mailing a new pair to me with no questions asked. That definitely puts them in with some of the best. Great gear. Definitely a place you should visit even if you don't fish... but especially of you do.

There is a thin woman with a raspy voice who works in (or manages) that department, and every interaction with her is unpleasant. She's consistently rude, dismissive, and acts as if any basic question is an interruption. If she's folding clothes and you ask for help, she reacts as though you're inconveniencing her. On multiple visits, I've asked about a single club regrip while I shop, and she responds with visible annoyance and a rundown of how busy she supposedly is--only for me to return 10 minutes later and find her chatting with coworkers. I've had other Dicks employees regrip a club for me in less than 10 minutes. She is, frankly, a terrible representative for Dick's Sporting Goods, and her attitude is the primary reason I will not be returning to this store.

The owner has amassed a collection of pocket knives and other historic memorabilia worthy of an admission charge that is actually free here. My youngest son has always been very found of knives and weaponry. So any trip with him to Gulf Shores is not complete until we go here to St Nick's Knives. The shop employee was extremely helpful and nice. I see that a lot of other reviewers have been unhappy with high prices but these guys have premium products like Spyderco, Gerber, Kershaw and much much more. Or even other reviewers unhappy about the 3% surcharge for credit card purchases. Well fellow consumers if you were not already aware, that's the same price each merchant has to pay for us to use our plastic cards, so this shop is simply passing on the cost to only those who use cards. Meaning cash gets a bit of a break. Hint, hint!
