We were never greeted and stood at the shoe display waiting to try on shoes while we watch employees behind the counter just talking to each other and another group at the fitting room laughing and never offered to help they made eye contact and went on back to talking. The security guard followed my kids around the outlets until I got there and told me Mountain High Outfitters had them on video stealing something and they were going to prosecute. I allowed the security guard to check all receipts and look through all bags. He found no evidence of theft. The security guard escorted me and the kids back to the store at which time I looked at the security footage. My son (mixed race) entered the building and she showed me him exiting the building and looked back at my other son and left. That was what she based her assumption that he had stolen something on. I told her it was because he was black that she was accusatory. She replied, "I knew you would say that". He did not steal from this store and the footage shows that as well as the security guard going through all of our bags. Racist.

Long story short, my mom tried using a card, it kept declining. So she bought a $400 purchase with a different card. When she figured out it was a fraudulent protection thing, she called the bank so that way she can return, then repurchase on the card she wanted to use. During that whole process, the cashiers were giving us looks and were getting inpatient. Then the security comes to check what's going on, and then they all start giggling as the guy is telling him what's going on, not knowing we can see their reactions. And when I say looks, I mean looks as in "they don't belong here" "why are the here". Looks as in they made us feel like we weren't rich enough to buy from here. We explained this was happening because we're not from here. Meaning we're TOURIST. Apparently they don't care, they were still rude and disrespectful. The zipper on the pants failed. I just called and they simply asked for my name and address, etc. and are mailing a new pair to me with no questions asked. There is a thin woman with a raspy voice who works in (or manages) that department, and every interaction with her is unpleasant. She's consistently rude, dismissive, and acts as if any basic question is an interruption. If she's folding clothes and you ask for help, she reacts as though you're inconveniencing her. On multiple visits, I've asked about a single club regrip while I shop, and she responds with visible annoyance and a rundown of how busy she supposedly is--only for me to return 10 minutes later and find her chatting with coworkers. I've had other Dicks employees regrip a club for me in less than 10 minutes. She is, frankly, a terrible representative for Dick's Sporting Goods, and her attitude is the primary reason I will not be returning to this store.

My youngest son has always been very found of knives and weaponry. So any trip with him to Gulf Shores is not complete until we go here to St Nick's Knives. I see that a lot of other reviewers have been unhappy with high prices but these guys have premium products like Spyderco, Gerber, Kershaw and much much more. Or even other reviewers unhappy about the 3% surcharge for credit card purchases. Well fellow consumers if you were not already aware, that's the same price each merchant has to pay for us to use our plastic cards, so this shop is simply passing on the cost to only those who use cards.
