5/23/2026 So we went to see the new Mandalorian today at Liberty Cinemas. We went to purchase our tickets and snacks when we were told that they did not have popcorn due to equipment malfunction this morning. They said that another theater was sending bags over later in the day. I asked the Manger on Duty if they would allow me to run next door to buy some popcorn at Kroger. She said their policy was No Outside food. I asked her about an exception since they couldn't offer it for sale. She refused to allow it. Here's for non-existent customer service. Additionally the A/C was broken in the theater we were in! I'll drive to Savannah from now on rather than give my business to Liberty Cinemas! read more

We arrived to no popcorn made. Shocking that a movie theater does NOT have popcorn made and for sale! The theater was extremely dirty as well! Stains, sticky floors, and rude staff. Some of yall are missing the point. She's not talking about the interruptions from teens; she's referring to the nasty walls, floors, seats and the horrible smell. An Upgrade is definitely needed! Like other have said, this theater is pretty old. I wouldn't say run down but definitely old. Coming from someone brand new to the area, the location seems ideal. The parking lot was decently maintained and for a Saturday night we were one of maybe 30 cars. When you enter there is a ticket booth in front of the building. I'm unsure if they actually use this so we went to the concession area. When it was our turn to purchase tickets we were surprised, like others, that the military discount only applies to the service members and not their families. This is something at least two other reviews have mentioned from their very little reviews so definitely an issue management should address. To be honest, for this reason alone I would go out of my way to Savannah AMC or Pooler. The theater itself was fine. The seats were fairly standard and there was no overwhelming smell which is nice. For how high the screen is, speaking from theater 3, the seats are LOW.. and far back. Just all around not a good setup. They have their own rewards program that offers free birthday popcorn, free tickets, and promotions if you sign up to receive emails. Comparing to theaters like AMC it seems to again be lacking. With this theater you can nott use Atom to purchase tickets however you can use Fandango WITH a service fee... yea no. So much of me loves to support small businesses, local businesses, etc but I do think for me to keep coming back I need a reason and this theater gave me none. Prices for a ticket were higher than others, screen position was not ideal, outdated, doesn't honor military discount for family members BY A MILITARY BASE, rewards are meh. read more

Liberty Cinemas....Sighs....it's a lil outdated. That shouldn't stop you from going though. Seems like a community movie theater. The customer service was good when we got our tickets. No hassle and not a lot wait to get our tickets. The movie theater itself was bigger than what I thought. Due to the fact that I saw a PG-13, there was a huge kid presence. The prices were reasonable for concessions as well. Played the most up to date movies. Clean facilities. I'd go back again. Probably a few new upgrades would be needed in the future. I forgot to mention there was only one entrance to enter and exit. Which could cause a fire hazard disaster. read more

This is an older movie theater, but I had what I needed THE MOVIE!! We had nachos and a drink. We were there to watch Angel has fallen, which was an awesome movie btw. There aren't any reclining chairs like the more modern or remodeled stadiums. But, what they did have was clean and comfortable. read more

Half star rating is more like it. 1. Don't post "military" if you're not going to honor it. Nowhere on your sign does it say "active duty only" so either change it to this or don't have it at all. 2. If your ONE badass usher have to come and talk to the same group of people 3 times, they need to be ejected from the theater. 3. Turn up the damn volume! I could barely hear over the loud breathing, popcorn munching and soda slurping. 4. I didn't know this was a "hot" spot for high schoolers standing in the damn way and dressed like they going to a fashion show. I have been here many times and I have not had anything bad to say about Liberty Cinemas. I have never found it to be dirty. No matter what I always have to get popcorn and a soda when I go see a movie. If the popcorn is awful, I will not return to that theater because popcorn is part of the movie experience. Liberty has very good popcorn. I really wish they would get Dr. Pepper because Mr. Pibb is no real substitute. I like that they have frozen drinks, too. They have a Dippin' Dots vending machine in the lobby. This theater has multiple screens with movies that start late morning and go all the way to about 10 p.m. Pluses: 1) military discount and 2) a lot of leg room in the seating area, which is something I've never seen at any other theater anywhere. read more

There is nothing remarkable about this theater, but it's good enough and much more convenient than another, which would be a decent drive away from the area. Another reason that I give this theater a 3-star rating is because the theater rooms, even the main lobby, was kept somewhere in the 50*F range! This is a great movie theater for us. We usually go there with the children, for the family movies. I am a little older, and I don't understand these young people complaining here ,on this review page , about everything. We could go to any other locations to see movies, but we only go to this movie theater, for like the last 15 years. That should tell you plenty. This is the small town theater that we love. Learn to appreciate this. It you want something glitzy, there are a lot of opportunities at a very short driving distance. read more

The hubby and I went to see Keanu here at its last showing. The ticket purchase was a bit confusing as the man counting money outside at the normal ticket counter saw us but didn't bother to put up any sign indicating where to buy tickets. I guess when it's the last showing of the night you are supposed to know to buy tickets at the concession stand inside. This was our first time there. The female who sold us our tickets was very pleasant and so was the gentleman who took our tickets and directed us to our theater. The armrests do not fold up. The seats do not recline are a bit worn out but there is ample leg room. The theater itself smelled clean and there were no issues with air temperature, sound, picture, or anything else. It was a good experience on our first date night to liberty cinemas! We will be returning for the next great movie! read more

Purchased tickets on Fandango. When our ticket was printed at concession it had a much later time listed, when we asked we were assured we could go to the 6:45 showing after all but had to wait for theater to be cleaned, and then later that the wrong room was cleaned. At 5 minutes to show time the confused usher told us there is a movie playing in that theater and it still isn't finished. A manager was finally up front to speak with - she said they had a new movie in, so Star Wars at 6:45 wasn't showing today, and we could wait for the 8:30 showing. I purchased tickets in advance and spent extra for a 3D showing, so a later viewing and regular wouldn't work out tonight. We asked how we can get a refund, and she offered without hesitation. I don't know if it is the theater or Fandango, but it's highly unlikely I'll use either business again. read more

Was expecting for the worst but wasn't bad after all, Given this theatre is pretty outdated and needs some upgradings I hope they could've made the main lobby more cozy and welcoming appearance wise. This theater is just horrible and don't bother going there at all. I went with my child and bought my tickets and they didn't check my id so when I brought it up the teller she was annoyed with me for it. I stood in line for popcorn for so long I was late for the movie, then when I got to the front of the time I find that their internet was down and they could not use my credit card. I asked and they had known about it for many minutes and didn't bother to tell anyone in line. I rushed to the movie then came back later in the movie to try again, still no net so not cc. I asked for the manager and she was SO useless and could care less that I was stunned. I explained that cc are older than the net so that was not an good reason and they looked at me like I was crazy. Everything is so over priced that I am glad I didn't get any food. Like the rest of Hinesville, just drive to another town, its just not worth it to deal with this town even if you are stuck here for the Army. PCS! read more

I'm completely disappointed in this company!! My husband and myself went to this theatre and were placed in auditorium 7. I immediately smelt mold walked right back out and asked for a manager. A gentleman white a gold tooth address my issue concerning the mold and told my flat out right they were having issues with that auditorium apologised for the inconvenience and gave me two vouchers. Still concerned about this issue as it is a health hazard I called the main office and once again expressed my concerns I was promised that this issue would be handled personally by the district manager and yet again issued more vouchers. Here it is about 3 weeks later and they have still not addressed the mold/mildew issues in auditorium 7. I was asked not to give up faith on this company well sorry to say I have. What kind of company would allow their customers to enter a theatre that was in this kind of shape. It's even sadder that this is the ONLY theatre in town. I personally feel that all management was like oh said what we need to shut her up. The manager informed me tonight he smells nothing in that auditorium yet all of his workers seam to have perfect knowledge on this issue. They deserve NO STARS!!! This was my first time going to this theater and it seems to be the primary hotspot in Hinesville. Upon purchasing tickets, I noticed that they offer a military discount, and they did. However, unlike most businesses who provide discounts to military members, they do not give a discount for family members, it is military members ONLY! The movie was good, the popcorn and refill process was good, but the Dippin Dots vending machine was out of order. Liberty Cinemas is small, but clean and the staff was pleasant. Went to see Break in at 4:30 Saturday. When we walked in there was a line with about 15 customers in line, for concessions. There was 1 person behind the counter ringing up customers and getting food. We saw 3 young men standing around where the ticket taker stands, laughing and talking. We also noticed 2 other employees just walking around doing nothing, but wasting time. Several patrons asked was there others to help the single female behind the counter and got no response. After about 15 minutes and 3 customers served we saw 2 young ladies come on shift and went straight behind the counter and started serving customers. I know these maybe summer jobs or employees, but the service, or lack of was horrible. Usually we see a manager walking around, but today they was just doing whatever they pleased. This theater is luck there isn't another within 20 miles. These kids need to be productive or stay out of sight of the customers, if they are not helping read more

I enjoy this theatre and all the employees. They are polite and nice. We dressed up as zombies for the " Pride, Prejudice and Zombies" movie and they had no problem with letting us in and letting us have fun. They got a kick out of it. We also dressed up as Darth Vador for STAR WARS and they enjoyed that. they are good sports. They clean and work hard and are nice. the managers are cool.Good food, clean place. read more

My advice: do NOT buy your tickets on Fandango for this theatre. You still have to wait in line in order to pick up your paper tickets at the box office. My husband and I waited in a super long line before he had the brilliant idea to just use the Fandango app to bypass waiting in line, so we did. After purchasing on our smart phone we went inside and presented the ticket taker with the "ticket confirmation" screen and he told us to get back in line outside in order to pick up our tickets. At this point our movie was starting in 5 minutes and the line was curled around the theatre so we asked for a manager in order to obtain a refund, and her response? Go stand in line, as the box office is the only place that issues refunds. As far as I'm concerned, their staff & management did absolutely nothing to appease us, and customer service is about taking care of the customer. We won't be returning to this theatre any time soon, and will be spreading the word about the pointless Fandango service and appalling customer service and management at this location. read more

I am a resident here(10 years) and I love going to this theatre. The only time I go to Savannah is when the movie I want to see does not make it to Hinesville . The young people on duty has always been polite. every now and then in the summer months I have gone to complain about it being too warm and they always adjust the air. so these folks complaining needs to just go somewhere else. This theater is out dated and not up to par. The screen wasn't even clear picture quality, there was no air conditioning and the seating is poorly designed. If you are in a packed movie and in the first few rows, your neck is breaking to look at the screen. Will not return. read more

I've had mostly less than average encounters here but tonight was by far the absolute WORST! The theater my movie was playing in was so hot I realized I had to say something immediately ( 7 pm ). By 8:15pm I was sweating so bad I had to get up again and informed the manager this time. I'm over 8 months pregnant and was bright red from it being so hot. Both times I complained I got the typical "yeah I'll check on that for you" crap. It also smelled like feet and the candy they sold me was stale and expired! I'm currently stationed in Hinesville but i will NO LONGER take my business to this movie theater, I'd rather drive all the way to savannah! read more
