I love this place . Used to take kids when they were young in the pajamas . I wish I could go more often.

This is not the AMC experience that Nicole Kidman was talking about!…read more At one time, this movie theater was the place to see the newest release. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case in the last 10-15 years. The theater is significantly outdated and regular maintenance has been neglected. There is only one theater that has updated seating while the other theater have the traditional stadium seats. Some of which are damaged; broken/missing armrests. The same can be said of the restrooms - needs attention and major cleaning. Missing marquee sign outside some of the theater rooms. Concessions were simple and what you'd expect. Nothing to brag on. The same can be said about the customer service. Saturday afternoon and only one person is workings at the ticket/concessions while three other employees standing as ushers to direct you to the appropriate theater. Looking for a movie experience more inline with what Nicole was referencing? Head over to NCG on Victory or out to Pooler. Only interested in seeing a movie and don't care about the overall experience, this AMC location may be just for you!

"Classic" is one way to put it and if you're all about "newness" then skip it, but stepping into…read morethis theater is a bit of a trip back to the early 1990s and even some of the smell lingers. Paper tickets, too, which are fun but rare these days. The concession area is modest and they aren't pushing $15 popcorn and $10 soda on you the whole time, either. There is LOTS of room outside the auditoriums and inside them is clean and in good repair. The bathrooms could use a thorough cleaning but they aren't smelly or gross. Overall, this place is a nice step back in time and a nice alternative, especially for older movie fans.

Am I being punked?! My husband and I came to the Statesboro AMC in screen room 11 to see Bad Boys…read moreon January 20th at 4:30pm. If you do the math, I'm writing this before my showing has begun. Parking was extremely easy and convenient so no issues there. It's located behind the JCP at the Statesboro mall and across from Walmart. The building itself is a yellowish color, fairly hard to miss. If you're driving an EV there is a dealership next door with a public charging station so heads up! Upon entering everything seemed fine. There were multiple employees behind the counter and customers getting drInks and waiting for friends but no line. We purchased our tickets using the Atom app. I say that to bring up a small tiff. You have to go to the counter to scan your purchased tickets.. I may very well be a movie theater snob coming from a larger AMC back in Washington but they would have employees standing by the entrance to check all tickets and scan app tickets so there is no need to wait. Not a huge deal because as I said there was no line so it was easy. Onto why I left the star rating I did. The bathrooms. This is SO important for a business and I wish owners and management understood that. The bathrooms here Have great locations so kudos! However, they smell like a porter potty. This isn't being overly dramatic this is being as real as one could be. I walked in and the smell was immediately overwhelming. There was paper all over the floor and mirrors were covered in a film like substance so you couldn't actually see your reflection. Think of a poorly taken care of rest stop. Next up, the theater. We walked in to the theater with two other couples along with a ton of trash. I want to give the benefit of the doubt and say maybe they hadn't had the chance to clean yet BUT again to me being a snob. Every theater I've been to has employees WAITING for the movie to end to clean right away. And if you walk in early you are kicked out haha but hey that's how it goes. I've included two photos of just our row.. which was the cleanest. The seating was fine. They don't have the updated AMC seating that is basically a plush recliner that feels like heaven.. so that's unfortunate but I do understand this theater may not have the funding for that being in a small town of Statesboro. The screen size and volume were great, no complaints. The theater didn't have an awful smell so also another plus. Over all my review in short. This place is dirty. Friendly employees. Hasn't been updated with new amenities other AMC theaters have. Can't say I'd specifically come back but it is one of the only, if not the only option near my parents in Brooklet.

I'm going to be totally honest about this movie theater. I've grown up coming to this theater and…read moreit has never been this bad. My mom, sister, niece, and I came to watch moana live action, and the air wasn't blowing at all. It was so hot and humid that I got up and went to the service desk and they said that they would look into it. It wasn't getting better at all, so my mom went up and they claimed that they were looking at it. After a bit, it still wasnt doing anything so my sister went up there and they said the same thing. It got so hot that my mom left the movie theater because it was making her feel ill. After our movie let out, I requested to talk to the manager(Jordan) and she is the most rude and disrespectful person that I've ever encountered. She tried to claim that the air was working and kept arguing with me saying that it was blowing. She said that i shouldve co.e up there earlier and maybe we could've got a refund earlier. I told her that we had been up there 3 different times.I told her that I will NOT being going back, and she told me have a nice day in the most rude and disrespectful tone. The bathrooms were not clean either. The floors were sticky, no paper towels, and there wasnt any soap. The popcorn was stale as well.

Price high ($9.50) for such a low end theatre. $4.00 for a small bottle of water is crazy high! In a nutshell: This is the only place around and they take advantage with high prices in a low end well worn theatre.

ALL seating consists of old broken lumpy recliners that I imagine have been glued so the feet don't extend. This is exactly as uncomfortable as it sounds. Sad to say, but I can rent a new movie at home and sit in my own comfortable chairs for a lot less. And not have to deal with teenagers who are animated and laughing and joking with other employees, but when they turn to sell you tickets have a sour face and no pleasant words. (when I said have a nice day to the last one she informed me it would be a nice day if she wasn't working on a Saturday. I considered apologizing to her for showing up and making her life more difficult but decided not to.) On the positive side the popcorn is tasty, and you really need it to distract yourself from the hideous discomfort of the seats during the hour and a half you are trapped in them. Another positive is that once you get out of those seats you are so intensely grateful that it causes instant cheerfulness and immense gratitude for the things you have at home.
