This just happened 9/9/17. Power went out, no employees knew how to handle the situation or help customers. General manager was no where to be found. Power was only out 30 min tops. They cancelled everyone's show that began between 7:00-8:00. Instead of letting those that waited that whole time watch their movies and offer later shows refunds or rain-checks they forced those that had their movie cancelled to leave with little tickets that were worth a movie. But this doesn't allow one to reserve the seats they want nor does it refund the original movie purchases or the concessions. The lower managers handled the customers poorly and offered little to now apologies. Their decision was not customer centric. It was purely a financial decision. read more

Came to the movies tonight to relax with my family and after walking into auditorium 4 and sitting we noticed that it wasn't cleaned. The cup holders are full of candy wrappers and my mothers seat has napkins stuck in the side. For 12.96$ a ticket I expected more. read more

I frequent this location and actually have always really enjoyed it until this past Tuesday when my family and I were seated in the concession area waiting for our theater to be cleaned and an employee who I'll refer to as "manager" walked up to me and advised me another customer had complained because I was breastfeeding my child, and that I either needed to cover myself or move further back into the seating area. I asked if there were any laws or policies that he was aware of in place that said I needed to do either of those things, spoiler alert: there isn't, and he immediately became condescending and rude asking me if I knew the definition of courtesy and again repeating that I should either cover up or move. He made such a scene in fact a woman who was near by walked up to me as I was rushing out to tell me she was going to contact corporate because she couldn't believe the way he spoke to me. When I contacted corporate I got a extremely short response telling me that they ask breastfeeding mother's to breastfeed as "discreetly as possible" while in their establishment. Will never be returning and I hope this review saves another unexpecting mom the humiliation I faced. read more

The manager here, Larise, doesn't know how to do her job. My husband and I came to a 7:30 showing in the IMAX theater, which cost 17.50 a person. There was a group of loud, obnoxious people in the audience who were yelling and cussing through the entire movie. Multiple people got up to complain. The so called manager came in and said NOTHING because clearly she doesn't have a backbone. I am not sure why they employ police officers at this theater if they aren't going to use them. This group of people ruined the movie for everyone and should have been removed from the theater. It's a shame because the theater is nice and we love the reclining seats. However, we will not return until we hear of new management. If she wasn't going to have the balls to do something about the people in the theater, she could have at least offered us tickets to see the movie another time. read more

Boy do I love coming to this theatre. If you don't want to stand in line just step to kiosk n purchase your ticket. You get to pick where you want to sit. You can't bet watching a movie without a cold one. They kind of lacking in the beer selection, other than that it find. The food they serve are on point. Fell in love with there French fries. When you enter you be surprise, because the seat recline. Just like being back home watching a movie. You have to stop by and judge for yourself. I bet you wouldn't be disappointed. On 9/9/2017, the power went out in the whole theater. After waiting approximately an hour, the power finally came back on. Instead of allowing us to watch the movie, they rudely forced us to leave. They gave us some tickets that did not guarantee us a seat, nor did it cover the GTX price that we paid to watch the movie IT. In the midst of all of this, the manager was absolutely rude and yelling at the customers even though everybody was being compliant. Ever since this theater has opened, I absolutely enjoyed watching movies there. They truly need to teach their upper management how to deal with a crisis, and how to treat their customers! read more

I have not lived in Augusta since I graduated high school so I didn't realize a new theater had been built, but on my last visit home my in laws took us to Riverwatch Cinemas. It was wonderful. Clean, comfortable, and not particularly more expensive than any other movie theater in the area. In fact, we currently live in DC and I have not found a movie theater in this area nearly as nice as Riverwatch CInemas. I love that you can buy tickets ahead of time and reserve your seats and the reclining nature of the cushy chairs is fantastic. Absolutely no complaints, definitely watch a movie here. read more

Fun and friendly service at the counter. Each time I've been here, they joke around with you and get your seats reserved and your snacks. You can also skip this and get your ticket from the kiosk at the front as well. This helps if you're not planning on getting popcorn or drinks. The pricing for movie tickets is great. For reclining seats, walk through space, and new theater decorations, the price can't be beat. Under $10 a person getting in before the night prices. Theatre is nice. Expensive like all the rest. Small bar in the back that serves beer and wine. Was told that very soon they will receive liquor license so drink menu will be expanded. They also said they will expand the food menu once they get the new company rep in. I can't wait for it to be what it's true intent is. Comfortable recliner Leather seats and decent bar area. The prices are in line with the other theaters in the area but with better perks. Makes it a no brainer to watch a movie here versus somewhere else. Beer is 5.50 to 6.00 and wine is 7.00. I haven't tried the bar food yet, but it looks to be average quick appetizers. This theater is awesome! They have a showing room called the GTX theater and WOW, that screen is huge. I think it's supposed to be like IMAX, but it's really awesome. This is a brand new theater, so everything here is fresh and it is very clean! All of the seats in the theater recline with controls on your arm rest, and they have assigned seating, which is nice so you don't have to worry about showing up super early to guarantee a good spot. The popcorn here is also mighty delicious might I add. I heard a rumor that they will soon be serving alcohol for your in-movie experience but that they are just waiting on their liquor license. I don't know for sure if that's true or not so I'd double check. I would most definitely recommend this place to anyone. read more

I like that you can pick your seats before the movie. The seats are super comfortable! It's nice to be able to choose you recline. When I went the popcorn sizes seemed small for the price but that may have changed. I also think it's great that they serve alcohol for you to take into your movie. read more

Mannnn, this movie theater is AMAZING! They have kiosks instead of ticket booths. You can buy alcohol (which isn't marked up in price), you can recline, you don't have to worry about people stepping on you when they walk by. At first sit, I thought the recliners were similar to the ones a nail salons. Ya know, the ones with the built-in massagers? Well, these don't give you a massage but they are SO COMFY! I don't see the big deal about this cinema. The service is adequate at the concessions and the place is clean, but so is the movie theatre at the exchange and over in Evans. The only thing that makes this place stand out would be the bar and the reclining seats, which the reclining seats are uncomfortable. I did not enjoy it, it actually made watching the movie more un-relaxing than relaxing and comfortable. I would not recommend going back, but it is definatley somewhere that everyone needs to go just once to try it out. read more

Great seats, great screen. Great sound system. The restaurant is not fully open yet. The opening of the theater was pushed ahead to take advantage of Star Wars. They have full reclining leather (probably plether) seats. Very comfortable, especially if you have back problems. You fill your own drinks, and put you own butter flavored oil on your popcorn. They have a huge lobby, so you don't have to wait outside in the heat and cold to buy a ticket. They have assigned seating. This let me get my favorite seat. It saw star wars twice, once on their regular screen, once on the larger GTX screen. The GTX screen was not as as bright. I suspect the projectors are probably both 8k, and the larger one is probably farther away from the screen, which will result in a decrease in brightness. However the GTX Theater had the dolby atmos sound system, much louder, and a lot of deep bass. The deep bass was impressive when watching a movie like star wars, with lots of explosions. But I actually liked the screen in the regular screen more, and it is 3 dollars cheaper. If you don't like loud movies, avoid the GTX screen. read more

Very unpleasant experience with the 'Outakes' place. Both my wife and I are in our 60s: I had my DL with me, she didn't. They refused to serve her one beer because she didn't have her ID. When I found a copy of her DL on my phone they refused to take that as "proof of her age"!! People working there were very unprofessional to the point of being rude. Unlike what other people say, food is not cheap ($12 for a hamburger!) and it tastes worse than McDonald's. The only good thing: the reclining seats!! read more

I like the theater, with the exception that the GTX sound level is consistently much to loud. I almost left the theater because of it and I most likely will not return to it again because this seems to be the norm for it. I know it's not just me because people around me were muttering the same thing. On a separate note, they should have an employee watching for phone usage during the movie and eject the people immediately. Seriously, how needy is a person that they can't make it through a movie without seeing if they got a comment on FB? It's pathetic. read more
