This was her 6th zoo visit within the past few years. This was, by far, the best zoo I have visited. I love how much there was to do here; from the deer feedings to train ride and safari, it's a great experience. The zoo is well-maintained, spacious, and beautiful. IF you ever end up in Jalisco, come to this zoo. It's the biggest zoo in Mexico and a nice place for the family to go to !! ( :

Tucked away on the third floor of Midtown Jalisco is Wokivia, a kid's adventure space that's…read moregood...for an hour. They sell hour passes, all-day ones, and memberships. Get the hour pass as it's more than enough time. Here's my experience after going with my five-year-old daughter in July: 1) Space: It's a small space, but they make good use of it. You walk through a tunnel of changing lights into one large room with a little playground with three slides, a cafe area, a ball pit space, a craft room, and other activities. Some of the exhibits were worn-down and some were closed for a private party. After 45 minutes, my daughter had thoroughly explored every space. Here favorites: -The craft room where she made art using paint and marbles. -The rope tunnel. -The firefighter area. 2) Service: It's friendly and helpful. However, when we first went at 11 a.m., a worker told us to come back at 2 p.m. when it's open to the public. We did and was told it was closed for a private party. Third time was the charm!

It's quite small and really is just a nice green space to off-set all the concrete and buildings. It's also adjacent to the start of the Chapultepec corridor where you'll find a narrow area between the roads home to a wide variety of artisans and others selling their wares. Being that this is one of the few green spaces in the area, the grass is commonly used for pets. Unfortunately, there are very few waste bins and dog poo is left behind. Yuck! It is nice to see a little greenery, however. Especially deep in such a large concrete jungle.

The experience is about a half day and it is a mix of indoor outdoor experience. Our guide Jose Torres was wonderful and I cannot thank him enough for the fun time. Fret not, if you do not speak Spanish they are accommodating! We started off learning how to interact with the horses and then moved onto the history and we even learned how to use a lasso!

The tour guides are two genuine charros that live this life style and at proud of their heritage. This is a short summary of the tour: Got picked up around 10am on a clean vehicle, arrived at the location surprised by the size of the place. They explain in detail the history of the charrería We learned a few tricks with the ropes and got to ride some of the horses. We watch the show of charrería and hanged out with the locals have a few tequilas. Tour ended around 2pm and got dropped off back to our area. Over all a great experience!!

What a wholesome setting, to see parents cheering on their teens or romping w their toddlers. I took so many pictures and videos, I completely drained my phone's battery, and I still felt like I could spend another hour or so snapping away. Beautiful, enigmatic archetecure sits side by side with luridly colorful playground equipment- they have at least 35 trampolines, you can watch hair raising stunt bikers and skateboarders till you cant take the suspense amy more, and you can still wander around for hours, constantly discovering new delights. My favorite part about the park was the price: Free! Free parking, free admittance, shady picnic areas, bbq grills and more fun jammed into one spot than you'll ever find anywhere else in the world.

KidZania is an international brand that creates kid-sized cities where kids can earn and spend…read moremoney. For example, kids can learn how to become doctors and nurses or firefighters. Once they complete an assignment, they get paid in KidZania money (bills or credit on a fake credit card). Then they can spend their money at the salon where they can get their hair done or nails painted or at the chocolate or candy factories. Your ticket gets you a credit card with KidZania credit on it to spend and access to the "city" for the entire day. My five-year-old daughter went while in Guadalajara for three weeks. Here's our experience: 1) Price: Out of all the kid activities we did in the city, it was the most expensive. It was around $27 USD for my daughter and I to get tickets. Once inside, you pay extra for things like getting a KidZania passport (it cost around $10 USD) to be stamped throughout the city and for food and snacks. 2) Space: It's pretty big with dozens and dozens of storefronts from a diner to a grocery store to a theater to a gym. For the places where you earn money, it's helpful to know Spanish. Currently learning, it was hard for us to follow along at places like the firefighter area or gym. However, some places we could follow along like at the fashion show or chocolate factor or recycling center. 3) Food: They have several restaurants with kid-sized tables and chairs. There's a Domino's Pizza and a sushi spot that my daughter and I enjoyed. They make sushi with kid ingredients like plantains v. fish. If you want a fun day with small kids and know Spanish, definitely go to KidZania. Just go right when they open to beat the crowds. There was a crowd on a Thursday around noon, making all the popular shops have long lines.
