This is a good zoo. It's not the most modern, technological or exciting-- but it is cool.
These animals were some of the most lively I have ever seen at any zoo. The lion roared loudly and paced around with a full, dark mane of hair. Really the animals look healthy unlike the almost sedated state I had grown used to seeing. The tigers and lions had me convinced that they could easily escape their enclosures with a good jump.
The primates were also active with one orangutan digging into the ground and unearthing a large rock to throw.
The birds were plentiful and interactive to feed the nectar or seeds and for a low price too.
The train was nice, though, I do wish it ran the full route around the zoo.
The zoo food was alright. And the gift shops were more child focused and cutesy.
Overall a nice experience for the family. If my toddler were a bit older I'd have taken her on the ski lift to see the zoo from an aerial view. read more
