    Flooded spot
    Ellen M.

This place is a dive. We arrived after a short but hard rain and when we got to our spots they were completely under water. We couldn't reach anyone on the emergency number. We finally found someone walking around who happened to work there. She was very nice but basically told us that we needed to find another park to stay at because she had nothing else. It was kind of a relief because honestly there was trash everywhere and really run down rv's that had obviously been there awhile. Thank goodness we were able to find a spot after calling 6 different parks in the area otherwise we would've had to have found a place to boondock. We were told we would receive a refund when the manager arrived the next morning. After reading the reviews I was concerned we might not get one so the fact that she refunded us is why I gave this park a 2 star instead of one. She did, charge us a $20 cancellation fee which I thought was wrong but I was just happy to get my other $400 back. Oh, also they double charged me for one of my spots that also had to be refunded. I don't recommend staying her at all.

I absolutely loved my time in nature. GRRV is GREAT for an escape into the semi wild. The park manager is really sweet.

The park manager I talked to on the phone was a genuine sweet and helpful lady who answered all my first timer questions (Thanks Shawna!).

Can't say enough about how friendly this park is, definitely driven by Nick and Sue. They were so welcoming and helpful, and definitely give this park a special feel. That likely explains why they have so many longer-term RV residents. Our cabin was on the small side for us, primarily because our group was larger than originally expected. With six folks sleeping in our cabin, everyone had beds, but we were definitely getting to know each other... :) However, our cabin also had a great deck outside (can you say "morning coffee?", and everything was clean and functional. We also enjoyed the "loaner cats" that were around the park -- our teenage kids loved playing with them. No idea if we'll ever be back to Creek Hollow, but would certainly recommend it.

First let me say the park is a peaceful place to relax on my days off. There are several full time residents as well as transient campers, but it is never noisy. The park has all the amenities you could need. There are bathhouses that are clean and a laundry facility (2 washer, 2 dryer $1.50 and $1.00 respectively). There are a pool and hot tub. WiFi is also included. The sites are wide and level. We came in late at night and Sue was happy to accommodate us. The entrance hill is rather steep but we had no issue with our 38' rig. There is also a back way to exit if needed. The park is very shaded which is wonderful in the TX heat and the plants are beautiful. I love watching the hummingbirds and swallows. There are also resident cats who mind their own business and do not bother anything. (I'm not really a cat person) The cabins for rent seem cute! I would stay here again!!!

We drove out to the water and decided to walk those trails. The trails are all very easy to navigate. The more challenging trails may not have actually been trails at all, but got us down to the river bank for some lovely photos. The grounds and trails are very clean and well maintained. The camp sites look really nice and the bathrooms (I'm told) were Buccees level clean. There's a Discovery center that seemed to be interesting for the littles. I really enjoyed the solitude and the zen. I suspect it probably gets pretty packed though.

We parked near the end of the road where you'll find a parking lot with bathrooms and changing facilities. We met our hiking group and trekked off walking along the Guadalupe River. Make sure to bring water shoes with grip cuz you'll cross the river to get to more hiking trails. The water was cool and the flow perfect...depending on the time of the year, it can get quite powerful. The weather was gorgeous - fall vibes of overcast and cooler temps. We hiked a mix of many shaded forest areas and open fields . Captured many pics of the fall changes - leaves turning shades of yellow and orange. And I gotta kick seeing live armadillos scurrying amongst the long grasses. So cute!!! With the great weather and scenery, we hiked a steady pace and clocked in approximately 8.5 miles ! Loved hiking through the river : ) Clean bathrooms and changing rooms were a plus!
