Glow In The Dark Pickleball at Laird's Hideaway RV Park

Brett and Joyce were wonderful hosts providing great Texas hospitality ("they are good people!") and wonderful, shaded RV sites near eight well-maintained pickleball courts. The Glow In The Dark pickleball on Saturday night was a lot of fun and is very well set up for safe play. The gazebo with fireplace by the tiny houses was the perfect place for our group to gather, have dinner, or just hang out. We highly recommend Laird's as a destination to add to your camping itinerary, especially if pickleball is one of your things. Thank you Brett and Joyce for having us and making our stay great and look forward future visits.

Foozies food truck with a great shaded area and large TV to watch sports. Enjoy your lunch and watch Pickleball as well.

Can't say enough about how friendly this park is, definitely driven by Nick and Sue. They were so welcoming and helpful, and definitely give this park a special feel. That likely explains why they have so many longer-term RV residents. Our cabin was on the small side for us, primarily because our group was larger than originally expected. With six folks sleeping in our cabin, everyone had beds, but we were definitely getting to know each other... :) However, our cabin also had a great deck outside (can you say "morning coffee?", and everything was clean and functional. We also enjoyed the "loaner cats" that were around the park -- our teenage kids loved playing with them. No idea if we'll ever be back to Creek Hollow, but would certainly recommend it.

First let me say the park is a peaceful place to relax on my days off. There are several full time residents as well as transient campers, but it is never noisy. The park has all the amenities you could need. There are bathhouses that are clean and a laundry facility (2 washer, 2 dryer $1.50 and $1.00 respectively). There are a pool and hot tub. WiFi is also included. The sites are wide and level. We came in late at night and Sue was happy to accommodate us. The entrance hill is rather steep but we had no issue with our 38' rig. There is also a back way to exit if needed. The park is very shaded which is wonderful in the TX heat and the plants are beautiful. I love watching the hummingbirds and swallows. There are also resident cats who mind their own business and do not bother anything. (I'm not really a cat person) The cabins for rent seem cute! I would stay here again!!!

Sometimes there are various technical issues, and my cell service is weak out here, (that's a failing in my service provider, tho) and the highway intersection at the entrance can make it tricky to get in and out. But all that just adds to her charms! It's the bird song, the fireflies, the cool breezes, the feeling remote but having fairly easy access to all that is needed... and most of all it's the people. Deb and Dave have been nothing but friendly, responsive, and they work hard to continue to make improvements to this place, and to take care of issues in an expedient manner. And our neighbors? Our neighbors have been wonderful! We've not met a single person who hasn't just been full of smiles. We truly hate to leave Canyon Cove, but life is calling us in another direction... at least for now. We hope to be back in the not too distant future and resume life in this peaceful place!
