We decided to go here for the very first time in our camper and it look like they had a lot of good amenities and being right by the lake was great for the kids. There was not many people that were enjoying the amenities it look like as you can see from the pictures but it is gorgeous where the clubhouse is there is a really lovely fire pit and a lot of trees and the pool area it was also really nice. This is right by the lake also so we went by there both days that we stayed and it was really enjoyable. I wish that they had pull through RV sites but the price wasn't too bad. The people working at the park or super friendly even though we checked in really late and helped us back into the spot since that was the first time that my husband was parking this RV. All of our neighbors are really friendly and it is also really dog friendly. All in all we would go back. read more

The customer service was amazing. That alone earns this locations high star rating. The sites are roomy and most have shade. The lake is amazing. It's a walk to get to the lake from the resort but you can drive or take a cart and there is parking. The pools looked nice but I didn't use them. We stayed long enough to use the honey wagon and that service was really nice and well executed. Zero effort from us. Some of the turns are really odd in the resort and only an experienced drive could get into our site. Most looked okay but the turn from dump station was tight also. It's doable but kinda tight. As a plus they had soap at the dump station what a nice touch. Will 100% go back. read more

This past weekend my family rented 3 condominiums from Lake Pointe Resort (we have a large family). The condominiums were nice overall. The water pressure for the showers sucked, but.. I guess that is to be expected with these kinds of places. Anyways, the office staff is VERY rude. It was rainy one day, so we wanted to connect our computers to watch Netflix, the WiFi never connected, we called the office for help and they told us that the connection is just sometimes weak and doesn't work. So, there is no Wifi like advertised. The condo makes you throw away all your trash and take it out before checking out. Understandable! but, we assumed they would provide trash bags for us to do so. When we asked the office for 3 extra bags (one for each condo) the lady rudely replied that this is not something the provide. Ok? The day before leaving we called the office to see if new tenants were coming into the condominiums. The office explained No. Because it was Father's Day we were hoping to check out 1 hour later, at noon instead of 11. The lady first asked if we were members. Because we replied "no, we are not" she said she can not help us. I am shocked with the way they treat the tenants there, why would anyone become a member? It is WAY to much money for what you get. We stayed here Memorial Weekend, We are Passport America members. This place is a pretty basic RV Park. They do offer a "membership" but you don't need it to stay there. They have several full hook up spots but most of them are water and electric only, and you have to pay for the electric so that's a con when you are already paying for the site. The sites are small to average, but the park backs of to Canyon Lake so if you get some spots you have a view of the lake. There are wild deer that walk around the park and that is nice and you can buy food to feed them. Their office is very basic, they do not have a store or anything but do sell Ice and some snacks. The guy that checked us in wasn't the friendliest and drives around on his golf car all day checking on everything kind of like the park security. We didn't deal with him but at check in and we got there late so maybe he was frustrated either way no excuse you run a public business and should be all smiles all the time. Back to the sites, I said they are average size to small depending on what your used to, some have trees on both sides and some hang a little low, I had to go get some trimmers and climb on the roof to cut the limbs so that they did not hang or drag on the roof and move them away from the antenna. They have two pools a family pool and adult pool the family pool was clean and inviting and the guest were nice and friendly. there are not a lot of amenities and activities to do but its a nice place to walk around, they have a walking trail that goes down by the lake and to a large fire pit area, but with so much around canyon lake you probably wont spend much time just hanging around the park. We enjoyed our stay there and will probably return back as it is fairly reasonable with PPA The only thing I don't like is that we can never get a full hook up with Sewer and they do provide a dump station but there is no way to flush your black tank when doing this so if your not going to use your rv for awile after that you may want to you just use the park facilities so you don't have to dump your sewer. They do allow you dump your grey tank on the ground but ONLY your Grey tank.. The staff in the office seemed like they didn't want to be there but were friendly. If your looking for a decent reasonable place to camp for the weekend to have some fun on the lake, I would recommend Lake Point. Maybe they don't know where they need to work on to be better and this review will help them. As I said we will probably return if we are planning on spending the weekend at the lake. read more

Sitting at the provided picnic table drinking my coffee, looking at Canyon Lake, deer grazing on the trail, birds chirping, my dog sitting with me, just listening to the sounds of nature. ILL BE BACK FOR SURE. My husband and I (and dogs) came out here for a little get away while the kids were with other family. We really picked a winner! This place is awesome. There are a lot of long time residents or extended stay travelers here and everyone seemed nice. Even the kids who showed up towards the weekend time were polite and would wave at you as they rode their 4-wheeler down the trail to the lake! These sites are water and electric only and you can drain your gray water only at your site. Be sure you have the adapter and a hose for that. (We had to run up to ACE to get one.) No problem. There is a dump station, this will be our first time doing that so if it is totally horrible, I'll comeback and edit this post and let you know haha!The reason for my 4 stars....I spent half the time looking for the 2 dog parks they said they had. I finally found them! They were alllllllllll they way to the back of the RV park, like way back there.... behind the rv and boat storage place and very boring. Literally a square fenced off area with NOTHING to do. You could tell no one used them. Here are a couple suggestions for changes if the resort comes across this. Suggesting out of love bacause it would only make this place more awesome than it already is. Find a spot (maybe by the "pet walk" and nature trail) to put the dog parks. No one wants to have to go behind storage areas and be bored when letting their dogs do free. Little tunnels or toys for the dogs are cool (check out jellystone's dog park for some ideas.) Also along the trails to the lake add some trash cans that get emptied daily so people who DO pick up their dog poop can have a place to put it. Like I said earlier, I love this place and I will definitely be back! read more

This park should not have RESORT in their name. Gravel roads are poorly marked and picnic tables need to be burned. Looks as if there has been NO maintenance on anything in years! Stickers and weeds everywhere. The staff was unfriendly to rude. They need to take a lesson from the deer, who were everywhere. We enjoyed watching and feeding them but will not be back. read more

I am super disappointed in our stay at Lakepoint. We checked in to our condo after the office closed. Our condo was disgusting! The bed sheets were so old and itchy. The couches were itchy, the bar stools, and dining room chairs itched the back of your legs were you sat down on them. The eating utensils still had food or something on them. We had to sleep on top of the covers bc the sheets were so uncomfortable, my husband put a sweater over his pillow bc he was nervous about letting his skin touch it. My daughter woke up with her eyes practically swollen shut from the dust and dirt in her room. After not getting any sleep, I waited for the office to open. We wanted a refund at least for the 2nd night because we were not staying there again. It was office manager's day off, the lady at the front desk explained she could not help us. She contacted the manager and the manager said she would not give us a refund. I asked if she would call me so we could talk about the disgustingness she expected a family with a toddler to live in for the weekend. She refused to speak with me. They moved us to a different condo, it was cleaner, or at least smelled cleaner and the sheets were new'er. Although, there was mildew in the shower. I was told this place was run by volunteers, if so, they should be able to afford to upkeep their condos, or do what's right and give a refund to an un satisfied customer. This place was $250/ night! We payed $500 for 1 weekend. We travel a lot, and I know what type of room is expected at $250/night, this place wasn't worth $100/night. And to the office manager, she needs to work on her customer service, because this is not how you run a business. I will be sure everybody knows how shitty of a place this is. read more

It's too bad that the June posting didn't have a good time. I've been to these condos several times and had a good time every time, including last summer. Maybe the temporary office help that they had mishandled the situation as they always treated us well. In fact, last summer the condo building was almost 100% full all summer long so most people must have had a good time too. We like the nearby restaurants, good food at reasonable prices. There is even a marina restaurant not far away so we can watch the boats coming and going. The stargazing at night out on the balconies is fun too. If you want to do some swimming, they have a very large pool or there is a nearby public park for day trips, or go to the big water park not far away. Boats can be rented at the marina too. The kitchen appliances all worked well, especially the large fridge. The flat screen TV's worked well too. The sunsets can be quite stunning and the large sliding glass doors in the back make that easy to view in the air conditioning when it's still hot outside. For really hi-speed internet, we take the laptop to the clubhouse and enjoy the ice cream bars they sell while we play online games and do emails. We'll be going back again next summer! read more

I love Lake Pointe Resort. There are the best sunsets here on Canyon Lake. Feed the deer from your RV site. There are condos too for family who do not have an RV. You have to come check it out. read more
