We had a recent death in the family and have been going through decades of paperwork that included sensitive information. We needed a place to drop the paperwork off to be shredded. Guardian happened to have a free shredding day the day we left our family's home. It was easy in, a young lady and the gentleman operating the truck were friendly and helped unload the five boxes of documents. The materials were loaded into the shredder as I watched. I can't say much about the business except that it looked clean, appeared to be secure, and if these two folks running the free shred day operation are indicative of the staff operating the storage facility, I bet it's a good one. Mars hill storage is a new facility and a 10x20 is only $126. Guardian storage allows people to change your lock if they pay the bill. I had a contract but they are only used to benefit them. The bill went up 4 times in 4 years read more

We were nervous about putting good furniture and house hold items in a storage unit knowing it would be sitting there for almost a year if not maybe longer. Guardian Storage had set us up with an inside unit, moving truck and free rent for the first month of our stay, amazing! We sent a monthly payment through virtual apps or as quick as calling them to pay. Never had issues. Recently we had removed all of our things and with the low cost of the truck again we are highly satisfied with the condition are stuff is in and would absolutely recommend this storage unit for anyone! I started renting a storage unit with Guardian only about 16 months ago, and I really like their facilities, but their rates are rising disproportionately. Yes, I do rent one of their larger storage units, but just a year ago my rate was $142. One year later...and the rate is now $193. Thats a whopping 36% increase, which you can't justify due to Covid-19, as the pandemic has absolutely nothing to do with a storage business. I would've recommended Guardian Storage a year ago, but I just couldn't recommend them anymore. read more

I had an amazing experience using Guardian Storage in North Huntingdon! We had a situation where we were in the midst of a move and found ourselves needing a storage unit and a box truck within a matter of days before closing. To say Kristin from Guardian went above and beyond would be an understatement. She called us on a Sunday to tell us she would get everything in order first thing Monday morning and she did! We were able to rent the box truck to move the remaining personal items into the unit. It was a simple process. The pricing was competitive, the facility was beautifully clean and Kristin was so kind and thorough the whole way through. Moving out was a breeze. I truly thank her and Guardian for making a very stressful situation much more manageable and wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone! read more

I know it may seem weird to review a storage facility, but as a person who works oversees and moves frequently, I have seen my fair share of storage units. With that in mind, I have to mention that this facility is probably the nicest storage facility I have ever used, for several reasons. Firstly, the facility itself is very well-maintained. It is clean, trash free and new. The office has a water cooler, coffee and a very clean restroom. They also offer free Wi-Fi in the office (though I did not actually test it out). The actual storage units are climate controlled, carpeted and well-lit. There is covered parking (great for moves in any weather) that has automatic pocket glass doors, similar to home depot. Immediately upon entering the hallway there are courtesy carts. While some of the units have the typical garage door style door, mine has a door that opens like a house door, which I personally love. This way, I don't have to advertise the contents of my unit. Also, there is an abundance of overhead lighting, which makes going through your boxes a breeze. Many storage units have the garage style doors with the only lighting coming from the hallway, which makes a larger unit quite dark in the back. Also, most have concrete floors and are basically a garage. While this may meet people's needs who store tools, lawnmowers, etc, I stored furniture and other furniture that benefited from the carpet. This is a huge plus for me as well. The next reason I was compelled to write a review is the management. Shawn is always very friendly, polite and understanding. When I had a problem with my credit card (while oversees) he handled my situation with understanding and professionalism. I only spoke with Bob once, but he was also very helpful and polite. Guardian clearly takes customer service seriously and I for one appreciate it. Lastly, though they raised prices the last few years (5-10% each year), they are still very fairly priced. I have been a customer for the past 3.5 years and don't plan on leaving anytime soon! read more

We until recently rented two units with Guardian Storage for our business. I had a few month ago dealt with Matt in obtaining a new set of keys and just today had to cancel one of our units that we no longer needed and dealt with Kristin. On both occasions Matt and Kristin were amazing in their knowledge, customer service, and courtesy. So very genuine and efficient. My issue was taken care of quickly and I left smiling in both cases. I haven't had experience with any other rental facility but, I would look no further than renting here because the service was excellent. The Units were clean and spacious and the common areas were neat and clean as well. Top class business. read more
