I have nothing but good things to say about Guerra Brothers Moving. I chose them because they were incredibly fair-priced and responsive. I managed to schedule my move during a flashflood warning and torrential rains but they went to incredible efforts to make sure my furniture was free from damage. Movers were 45 minutes late because 1) they left their business at 8 am when I asked them to BE there at 8 am, and 2) they were given an incomplete address, which I told the woman on the other line (Stella, I assume) 3 times. Basically, not interested in accountability for their movers or movers they hire to conduct work for them and most definitely not interested in customer service or being professional when talking with customers on the phone. The guys that came to move us were prompt, courteous, professional and very careful with our possessions. We moved a 3 bedroom house, 20 minutes across town, and it on took them start to finish 3 hours. Not one thing scratched or broken, and they were very on point. Although the guys were about a half an hour late, they packed up all my stuff and moved it into my new place in a matter of two hours. They did a great job and were kind and courteous. I had such an issue moving into my first apartment, not only was it filthy but it was roach infested! Not only did those guys move my furniture from that place and into another apartment the next day, but they prorated me so that I didn't have to pay the two hour minimum. They were so helpful during such a stressful time. Sometimes they can be hard to get of hold of at the office, but at the end of the day they helped me out so much I would recommend them for sure. 1/26/2018 Had Geurrera Brothers move mine and my grandmothers belongings into storage. They where awesome!!! Got there on time and worked their butts off. They basically moved two households in a very reasonable amount of time. The guys where very respectful of me and my property. 1/2017 This company moved me into my new place the other day. They were awesome. They got the job done right under two hours and even helped set up a few things for me. The movers were very nice and professional. Third move with these guys and I hope they are around next time I need them. Quoted job at 2pm on Wednesday, started packing at 3:30, loaded and ready to go at 9pm. Hit the road at 7am Thursday morning and delivered it 200 miles away by noon. Couldn't ask for any better service. No doubt about it... Find another company to move your possessions! Let me explain so you won't be misled thinking I'm just submitting rhetoric shots at this company. Following our hiring Guerra Brother's Moving Service, we entered into a contract with them to safely move our personal belongings from the Gulf Coast area to Central Texas. That contract outlined Guerra Brothers estimate or cost to move us. It also included a time and date and that four movers would be handling this move for us and also in their own handwriting showed we paid the additional $100.00 dollars verifying we purchased an additional $10,000.00 dollars insurance to cover any possible damage not covered by them under their company insurance which is required by TXDOT to cover up to $.60 per pound of damage to the property in question. (Instead of four movers we got three. Instead of being on time the crew was a couple of hours late and instead of getting additional insurance we have to date still "Never Seen or Obtained a copy of this alleged additional insurance!) IMPORTANT NOTE: Guerra Brothers Moving Service as well as any moving company is required by TXDOT to provide you with a copy of that additional insurance policy! Good thing we bought the additional policy (even though Guerra Brothers never provided us a copy) because one of their agents dropped one of our boxes which included vintage crystal glasses inherited from her mother who purchased the crystal in 1950. Upon immediately making a claim the company balked on filing for the insurance to cover the damages of $680.00. After they called us asking to pay out of pocket without filing with insurance (Red Flags Start Waving) we sought the $680.00 to which owner Estella Fajardo refused to make good on the claim. After several attempts to speak civilly with the company which came up as "Good try, but no cigar" we ended up filing in McLennan County Justice of the Peace Court Pct. 1 a Small Claim Law Suit against Guerra Brothers Moving Service for punitive damages, attorney fees, cost of court as well as any and all other remedies of relief allowed by law. Long story short, the owner should have settled for the initial amount sought by us that would have cost her nothing except making a claim against a policy that never existed as she tried submitting the $.60.coverage policy which TXDOT requires them to have in place of the allusive additional insurance which was obviously not purchased for us by them. I know this as when she presented what she claimed was the additional policy to Judge Peterson, I asked to see the document and expressed to the judge that it clearly stated that the coverage was only for the $.60 required coverage. Judge Peterson found in our favor to which we ended up recovering over $2,000.00. If there is a moral to this story it has to be "Honesty is the best policy", "What goes around, comes around" and lastly "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"... This wasn't Guerra Brothers first rodeo and most likely won't be the last. Just know if you do business with them or any business keep your paper work, save it and review it as it is your best evidence to support your version of your case. Remember you get what you pay for, or may be not. This case is all public record and verifiable! Incidentally anyone having what they feel is a claim against any company has about two years in which to file in Small Claims Court. read more

We had a move scheduled more than 2 weeks in advance for January 28, 2016 and they didn't show up the day of the move. We tried multiple times to call to find out what happened but never got a live person. We left multiple voice mails but no one has returned any of our calls yet. You cannot rely on this company to do what they say they will do. Luckily we found another mover to come in at the last minute but it could have been a major disaster. We were quoted 5.5 hours to load and unload. After 5 hours of "loading" we called with our concern over the $125/hr rate getting out of hand. We were referred to the owner Estella. She was immediately belligerent and said " I don't know what to tell you maybe you should whip em (the movers) like little boys." We stated that we're not satisfied with their service thus far, which she stated " too bad you signed the f'ing contract!" She was extremely vulgar and unprofessional. Worst moving experience ever. Nope and NOPE! Working in customer service, I understand miscommunications happen all of the time, and the customer is not always right, but never in my life, have I ever had anybody representing a business argue with me in such an off-putting way. I had (or thought I had) a delivery scheduled for 10:30, after stating several times that my business opened at 10 and we would have a few minutes to open up shop, before needing to load up. At 10:45 I called, at which time, the lady told me we were scheduled for 2:30pm! WHAT?! Then she stated that she had tried to call me several times to confirm the delivery. Not ONE missed call. If your number was wrong, it might help to invest in a caller ID, so that you can reach your 'nearly scheduled, but not quite enough' customers. She continued to raise her voice along mine, stating the miscommunication was on MY part. 10:30, 2:30, and then the lack of confirmation for my delivery was MY fault? Okay.... whatever, lady. So, long story short, please, contact another service for your moving needs. Their customer service (or lackthereof) hints at the fact that they do not need anybody's business. read more

I was shocked after reading other reviews. Our experience was very good. The receptionist called to confirm the appointment. Then, the day of the move she called to see if they could come early. The two gentlemen were prompt and moved quickly and efficiently. They was done very quickly and nothing was broken or damaged. I had a horrific experience with Guerra Brothers!! I would recommend anyone else!! My husband and I hired them to help us move from Waco to Midland. To cut costs, they decided to send one of their employees to drive the moving truck and hire another company to move our stuff into our apartment in Midland. The first guy to show up to help move us in carried less stuff than me (a 120 lbs female) could carry and he only lasted 45 minutes until he had to sit on the steps because his body was uncontrollably shaking and he felt sick. He displayed every sign that he was actually detoxing from some substance. I contacted John at Guerra Brothers to let them know to send another mover. After 2 hours, I called guerra brothers again to see where that other mover was and to let them know that their one employee was doing all th work for two people. I spoke with Stella ( the owner?) to let her know this is unacceptable that they couldn't find a replacement and that they are completely overworking their employee. Stella proceeded to yell over me and then hung up on me! So they completely left us and their employee stranded! Once I went back to the moving truck to help move more things (which my husband and I had been helping with the WHOLE time) the Guerra Brothers mover said that he spoke with Stella and she asked us to pay right then and there. So apparently they don't care that their service was terrible and she was extremely rude to me- they just want money. I instructed the employee that we are not the type of people to not pay, but once the job is done. Eventually, a second mover came who appeared to be under the same type of influence as the previous one. After moving a love seat with the other mover only 10 steps, the brand new mover had to take a break. After making it to our brand new apt, he hit the couch on the door frame and inside wall which forced a dent in both door and wall. On the next love seat, the mover scratched our couch along the wall going up the stairs. After I made him aware of this, he dropped the couch and said he couldn't do it and he said " I'm not even going to charge you for this." Meaning his 10 minutes of labor? My husband had to carry it the rest of the way. After the move was finally done, we paid as we said we would. The movers truck was stalled so we even brought the mover to the auto parts store! The next day, I called John at Guerra brothers and explained the disrespect I received by Stella, the complete disregard for their customer who are asking for their help, the hiring of people unfit to handle personal items, and the treatment of heir own employees making them work double time! At the time, John apologized and seemed to express understanding of our situation and stated he was very unhappy with the company he contracted with. John stated that we email him an outline of our experience to document the horrific experience. He said he will DEFINITELY be in touch and he said we will try to make this right...Hmm. So a week after I sent the email i didn't hear anything so I called back. I wasn't necessary looking for a refund but just acknowledgement that Guerra Brothers took responsibility for this terrible experience. When I spoke with John TODAY, he had the nerve to say "what do you want me to do about it." he acted like a complete different person- completely insensitive and skirted my concerns off like he didn't care. I have never had worse service from any company! Luckily I wasn't by myself! Do yourself a favor and go with a trustworthy company that will actually stand up for their customers and for quality service. read more

Spoke to Jon/manager ? We reached an agreement (due to an add on Angie's list) and set up the move. I was told when the movers got there that our time started at 9:30 and we finished at 1:30. I was overcharged and like an idiot just wrote the check hoping to clear it up later. I was told by Jon when I called and asked about the overcharge that I signed the paper and if I had a problem he would rather "speak to my husband and clear it up since it was a joint account". SERIOUSLY!!!! and it was not a joint account he was very aware that I was in the middle of a divorce. I would not recommend his company to my friends or clients. The management and owners are rude and unprofessional. The movers were professional and courteous....they should seek employment elsewhere...... read more

We recently had a simple move from Waco to Dallas. Went with Guerra because of their competitive bid, but now highly regret using them for our relocation. The inefficiency on display by all parties involved was staggering. Showing up late, waiting 2+hours for supplies, showing up with smaller trucks than promised and having to scramble to bring in another, delayed delivery by 24 hours, items poorly packed and mislabeled (half the things we needed in our home are apparently in storage)...all of this seems to be standard operating procedure. Stella couldn't have been more rude and attempted to up charge us $600 for the extra truck, claiming that they didn't know how much was in our attic...during the estimate I offered to let her look in the attic, but she refused and settled for me describing the contents. Sorry, sweetheart, that's on you, not me. She could not have been more rude and utterly unhelpful after the initial estimate visit. Stick with a mover who has a better reputation. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau on account of their lack of professionalism and poor service. read more

I had the lady out to give me a quote in August and told her I would be moving when the house sold. The quote only listed some of the large items in the house and did not mention what size truck they would use, nor did it list that the move would be out-of-state. I contacted the owner Anthony in January when I got a solid contract on my house and knew a moving date. He said we could use the same quote even though it was more than a month old. I told him I needed to be out by a certain date and and we arranged for packing, loading and delivery dates. He told me to call back before the packing date to let him know an exact address as I only knew the town at that point. I called back as soon as I found a place out-of- state and he acted like it was the first time I had scheduled them to move me. I told him all the info again. This had me concerned, so I called a couple of weeks later and again it was new information to them. I asked them to make sure I was on the schedule as I wasn't before. Well, at this point I should have just cancelled them and gone with someone else, but instead I thought if I just call them often enough over the next two weeks before I moved that I would be okay. I mean, I've never had issues with movers before...Well, 3 days before they were supposed to start packing I called and they didn't have the quote anywhere so I sent them my copy via email and they said couldn't do it for the price listed. Well, good thing I had started calling around to other national moving companies hours before! Luckily two companies could do it on short (3 day notice)! STAY AWAY FROM GUERRA BROTHERS!!!! Movers we 3.5 hours late. Called the office to see where they were and Estella states she forgot to change the appointment from 10:30 to 8:30 as we requested. They did not arrive until almost 12:00 noon. Estella kept stating they were on their way. When they get there, Estella assures me we will be moved that day and states she is having a second crew come help so that we stay on track. A section of bedding gets packed by mistake and when we questions Estella she starts a screaming match in front of the whole crew and the family members. She threatens to walk off the job! We get back on track and when we arrive at the destination she tries to charge an extra 400.00 for the "additional packing" because of the second crew she had to send due to their lateness. She tells the guys to stop unloading the truck and proceeds to demand cash for payment. It is 8:00 pm, the banks are closed and she is now demanding 2800.00 in cash after she already stated we could pay by check. The movers are now sitting in the driveway waiting to unload the truck. The movers were very respectful and clearly not part of the drama created by Estella. We argue with her for 45 minutes and finally get the truck started to unload. 72 year old home owner put through the ringer because of Estella. Most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with and they took advantage of a 72 year old disabled client. Would never recommend anyone to use them. Sad thing is the poor guys that work for them were great but the company is not!!!! read more

I scheduled my move with Stella about a week before my move from Austin to Waco. I confirmed the time and date again with her at the end of my phone call. On moving day, the movers appeared to be running late. Thirty minutes after my scheduled time, I called to make sure that they weren't lost. The office manager informed me that she didn't know anything about this job. She proceeded to yell at me for being upset that I was two hours away without movers, cursed at me, and hung up on me (twice). I asked for the owner to call me back. She did not call me back until the following day, so I was forced to hire last minute movers in Austin, which cost me several hundred additional dollars. The conversations with both Stella and the office manager were extremely unprofessional. Both became extremely personal and inappropriate. The reason given for the breach of verbal agreement was that they originally wrote my phone number down wrong (they did not ask me to confirm it in the initial call). read more
