I recently began working in the area and have started to slowly venture out to try and get in some part of my regular mid day walks. I searched maps for "shopping" to try and get a feel for what's around and Brandy Melville was one of the selections that caught my interest. The store is small, yes and it's fully stocked - every last square inch. I felt the pricing was totally reasonable/affordable and did notice the one size sizing which is interesting but works for some pieces. I tried on a few items that I didn't love but ultimately snagged the perfect little knit American Flag sweater just in time for Memorial Day weekend. Service was excellent! All the girls working here were totally sweet and helpful. I'll definitely be popping in from time to time. In fact, I just stopped in this week and spotted other cute sweaters - this may be a new go to sweater spot for me. In terms of parking, I walked from my office so I have no clue what the parking situation is like since it was totally non applicable in my case.

She maintains a carefully curated collection of quality, timeless pieces. She helps guide you to what looks best and how best to wear it. If a piece doesn't suit me, Gina (very) diplomatically tells me and directs me to something better for my figure. I never leave without a few pieces that I end up wearing all the time. I also did the closet clean out with Gina and Jaimee - best money I ever spent on my wardrobe! They told me how to better organize my closet; what additional basics to buy or replace; put amazing outfits together I never would've thought of; told me how to wear pieces I had trouble wearing; what to part with; and, even better, made pieces I hadn't worn in 10 years relevant in my wardrobe again. After they left, I felt like I went shopping and I hadn't bought a thing. It was the most efficient two hour clean out I'd ever done. I highly recommend!

I didn't want to buy anything in the store then and just wanted to make the return, so oh well, will have to try again a different day. Bummer. Next time I go, sales rep says they need to get the manager to do a return (maybe they were new and didnt know how to do that yet, idk). 2nd person comes and says she can only do an exchange, not a gift card. I said the receipt says I can get a gift card with store credit, and I even tried to do this a week or two ago and the employees said I could get one but they were out at that time so to come back another day. 2nd sales rep says okay, let me get my manager (i thought this was the manager but oh well). Manager comes out looking annoyed for some reason (she appeared right away so the other people didn't have time to explain the scenario), looks at receipt, says "we can't do this return, it's way over the deadline." (it's maybe 10 days outside the 30 day window- which still accepts returns- just only for an exchange or a gift card- and I just wanted a gift card). I said that the receipt says I can do a return, it's printed on the back. She says "no, our policy doesn't allow that, you're wayyyy too late." I said I don't understand because the policy is printed on the back of the receipt, and I also tried to do this return at the store a different day where they said I could get a store credit but they were out of gift cards so to come back. Then she proceeds to say, visibly annoyed, that the only thing she can do is give me a store credit or an exchange. ??? Yes- i already knew that. That's what I was trying to do. And also what I was trying to specify (and already had to two other people) but she cut me off. Like, you didn't have to say "we can't do returns" when you're literally doing a return with the refund being in gift card form. Nfndndnsbxb. It felt very strange like the person came out wanted to argue with me. I just said, yes a gift card is okay. She does the return of the first item, prints it, hands me the gift card. I go to leave and realize that she didn't return the second item- when I had handed her both and the receipt at the beginning- so she was just going to keep the second item without refunding me. Luckily sales associate 2 noticed and mentioned it afterward, so manager did item #2 return on a 2nd gift card. What's funny is I was actually curious about buying something else initially but like to get returns out of the way early on so I can browse and leave if I want, but it was just such bad energy and glares coming from the manager and way too long to do something so simple that I just needed to leave. It wasn't like, the worst thing that could happen, it was just so unnecessarily complicated and unpleasant of an experience, and I don't need that in my life. Next time I'll just online shop with my gift cards & keep my life simpler.

As an open air mall, this style of shopping is inviting and enjoyable. Visiting frequently as a kid, it is a completely different experience. Stores are more high end than I remember. Crowds were exponentially greater! Lines for several stores (including Olive Young) to get in and for Ramen blew my mind. If you want a place to watch the world cup, courtyard is ready and inviting. This area was nice with the high rise century city backdrop. Although it was more crowded than I expected, meeting friends for lunch was great. The restaurant choices are wonderful. We planned to eat at one spot, but due to the wait we changed it up and it was a total hit. Parking was crazy! Lines to go up and down, it took forever to pull in a spot. The prices are expensive too if ya make a day here. Very few places validate.

Although this place is clean and offers lots of great stores, the parking system made everything very annoying. The fee system is complicated, and even after shopping, I ended up paying way too much. A place like this one, which claims to offer an exclusive shopping experience, requires a major renovation of its customer service department and parking system. There are many alternatives available in Los Angeles, where people do not leave irritated by the fees related to parking.
