It's not all my type of designs but i think it's worth supporting a local business and checking it out if you are in the Pico/Westwood area. I will never purchase from here again. I was told I have 14 days to return for a refund . When I tired to return within then14 days, they did not honor the return. They said " we return for store credit only ! " That's not what I was told by the sales person "store credit only" ! Don't purchase until you are sure about your purchase!! Came a few times to see the collection. This small boutique has amazing prices and wonderful service! Very stylish pieces for any age. The washable Italian silks pieces are beautiful and affordable. Each time I visit, there are new items. Marie offers stellar customer service and treats you like family. She has an extensive knowledge in fabric and color and knows the store's inventory very well. I walk by this boutique all the time but had never stopped in until today. I'm in love! Reminds me of a mix of Nordstrom and Splendid for a fraction of the cost. The owner was there and helped dress me. I felt like I had a personal stylist. She was honest when something didn't look good and brought me items I'd normally skip over that ended up looking great. Coal and Ice is a diamond in the rough! The two ladies working there were friendly without being pushy and were so fun to talk to and extremely helpful. They also had the sweetest rescued pup there named Morty, who is so mellow and easy going. My experience was enjoyable and I will definitely be back soon. Coal & Ice is a wonderful new boutique, run by Marcia & Isabelle, who have great taste. Price points are very reasonable. What I bought varied from $18 for a great black tank to $130 for a beautiful sweater topper that will complete many an outfit. The costume jewelry is affordable and on trend. Everything they've curated is grown up, modern, and chic - mostly classic solids, sophisticated prints, and a couple of retro pieces. Small gift selection as well. Pieces range from t-shirts to dresses that you can wear for a night out, and are constantly changing. For the price, you'd think you'd have to wade through a lot of synthetic junk, but there's nothing there that would make you ask, "Why'd I buy that?" in five or 10 years. There's parking in the back and at meters out front. Definitely worth a stop. read more

I'm a real customer not a friend! I found this shop by mistake while I was shopping down the street at F and S fabric. A little gem of women's clothing options with tags from Italy and USA. The prices are surprisingly reasonable and it's so nice NOT to see Made In China on every piece. The owner pays attention to you like a personal shopper, not being pushy but making suggestions that she thinks would look good on you. I would have overlooked many items if she hadn't helped me.
