We have been at Little Lambs the past 2 years and absolutely love it! We are so thankful we found…read morethis gem of a preschool! We have attended multiple preschools before and this is our favorite!! The teachers are warm and welcoming and create a wonderful learning environment for our kids. I completely trust them with my children and know that they look after them as they would their own. They truly care and treat each of the kids so well! They teach the children a lot of wonderful Bible lessons and seem to be more in-depth than other Christian preschools we've attended. They have a small outdoor playground - completely sufficient for the class sizes/times and also utilize the gym inside for the kids to play and run which is a great blessing especially with the weather here in Iowa. They also have a lot of events during the month - and change up often - with visits to the library, chapel time, fire department visits, local police department visits, various professionals coming to their classroom (dentists, etc.) to talk of their work, Donuts with Dad, Muffins with Mom and holiday parties. The children rotate bringing snack, which they also get to bring something special from home to show their friends and have "special helper" duties during that day such as feeding the classroom fish and guinea pig, etc. There is an abundance of activity going on that keeps the kids excited about learning and looking forward to special times. They have monthly themes and change up their activities often. There is always something new (centers, tub toys, decorations) at the preschool. They focus on specific letters for the week and include activities and programs associated with that. They also have opportunities to give to the local food bank and help other families at Christmas time which helps the children see beyond their situation also. They also have classroom guinea pigs which children can sign up to care for over the weekend in their own home. This can give some children a "pet" experience without the full time responsibility of caring/providing for a pet. You can drop off the children at the entrance with a staff member and they will take them down to their classroom and wash their hands etc. That can be super convenient depending on your children, especially with little babies/siblings in tow also. This is the same for pick up, which again can be super helpful with siblings and weather etc. The teachers also share a brief summary of all of the things the kids did for the day and also have a website where they share the pictures from the week. This is a great addition to a great program! We have found the tuition and hours to be comparable to ones in the area, but you get so much more than what you pay for here - the extra layers of love and concern that are priceless when it comes to our children. While no place is perfect in this world, we have found Little Lambs and their staff to be as wonderful as possible!! We truly can't think of anyway that they could improve, as they are often seeking feedback and ways to improve. We highly recommend this preschool to any and all of our friends who have children in this age group and would recommend it for you also!

They called me on my first day at a new job to say they refused to use them and I had to leave to bring disposable diapers even though Cassie assured me they would when I registered weeks earlier. They offered nothing but excuses everytime they lied to us. The ladies who run the administration have their children attend and one of their children severely hurt ours several times. Our son told us how bad it was. We expressed our concern, but nothing was done. In the 3 year old room her son bit ours on the face hard enough to draw blood. No reassurance he was up to date on vaccinations or an apology. Our son is 3 and has never bit anyone, let alone hard enough to draw blood on someones face. We tried to transfer due to our 3 year old telling us he was hurting him, but they never responded about openings at the CR or Marion location and ignored us. That child then pushed ours down so hard his father had to go get him in the middle of the day to take him to the doctor because of the bleeding. He had to go to a ENT specialist to see if he broke his nose at 3 years old. They then blamed it on his shoe even though the "teacher" had already said another child pushed him when she called to say he had to be picked up. The doctor said there had to have been a lot of force behind that push and she was surprised he didnt chip his teeth. They refused to show the video footage. They never once made an effort to keep him safe. They refused to transfer us to another location so we lost the $100 per child registration and had a hard time finding a new placement. They stated we could leave at anytime without a two week notice, when I said Id be taking them out they said they already ran the payment for the next week and wouldnt give our money back. Then they told us they were kicking our children out in one week instead of letting us leave whenever. One of the staff in the 1 year old room told us she didn't call our son by his name because "he looked like another name". In the 2 year old room our youngest gets bit hard enough to leave marks almost daily and they cant do anything to stop it. The 3 year old room is a mess with all the kids throwing hard toys at the staff's heads thinking it's funny while staff openly admits they cant control them. All around horrible daycare.

My daughter attended Hand in Hand after school care at her school (Bowman Woods). I was not pleased…read morewith the care she received. They often spent the afternoons watching movies and when they read books the staff picked books for them and forced them to read those books. My daughter, who used to love reading, began to hate it One afternoon, after school a boy shoved my daughter and bit her on the shoulder. The after school supervisor (Cassie) saw it happen and just ignored it. It had to be handled by the classroom teacher the following day. Then recently I noticed the charges from Hand in Hand seemed really high, so I asked for a statement. They had been adding on "processing fees" that totaled $111 since I had the payment on automatic withdrawal from my debit card. When questioned about the fees, their response was they had signs posted all over the school, however parents are not currently allowed in the school due to COVID so there would be no way to see the signs. I double checked the form I signed at the beginning of the year and there was nothing about processing fees. In addition to the "processing fees" they also charged me 4 times for a "card decline fee" of $36. However, I provided bank statements showing that I had money in my account and there was no reason for them to charge me a "card decline fee" After talking with my bank there would be no reason for my card to be declined, so it had to be an error on Hand in Hand's part. In addition to all of those fees they have been charging me for before school care for the last three months which my daughter doesn't even attend. So all together I have paid about $200 of expenses in the last 2-3 months in fees and being overcharged. After talking with Hand in Hand about this they have refused to refund my money. Send your kids anywhere else! Don't go to Hand in Hand, you will regret it. The management is rude and doesn't want to help they just want to take your money.
