Dealing with Alias was an overall wonderful experience with something that started out very bad…read more I had ants in my condo for years but it was not until this winter that they got to be really invasive. I asked a friend for a recommendation and they suggested Alias The Buman. I called right away and spoke to a very helpful lady who answered all my questions. After booking an appointment for a couple days later I received a text reminder of my appointment. The appointment was only a two hour window. If I recall correctly they showed up 15 minutes into that two hour appointment. Cody came out and was really polite taking off his shoes even though I didn't ask. He asked a few questions and told me how ants get inside and what he was going to do to help solve my problem. He patiently let me explain all my concerns and assured me things would work out. He sprayed a safe application inside and out all around my condo unit. Letting me know if we saw any more ants in the next 7-10 days he would be back out for free. I noticed an improvement immediately! By the next day the number of ants we saw was drastically decreased and by day 3 we did not see any ants. As of this review we are almost a week in but I am totally happy with the service. How long it lasts is to be determined but he did tell me to expect this to keep things under control for a couple months. Great people to work with and they were very up front with what they will do and what I can expect from their service.

Within the week they had a technician to our house. Appointment could have been sooner had my partner and I's work schedules allowed. Part of the treatment involved coming into our home, so one of us needed to be present. There's also a 2-hour arrival window, so you, the client, must be flexible. The technician arrived and treated the problem areas. We've been spider free since (about 3 weeks). The cobwebs were getting to be a bigger problem than the spiders and we haven't seen many since he left. Alias also completed a pest inspection for us before we moved into our home this spring. I walked him in to the other side of the barn and showed him the nest. He then got his supplies, stood OUTSIDE my barn, and just sprayed chemicals everywhere in the barn without even stepping a foot inside. I could have done that. He told me the chemicals wouldn't harm the animals [yeah right]. I now have to water down my barn and throw away two bales of hay [which is extremely hard to find right now due to our severe drought] before I can even think of letting my animals back in there. He's scared of bugs and I would NOT recommend wasting your money on this guy. I'm allergic to bees and I friggin WALKED him in to show him the nest. Save your money and hire someone else to actually come spray the nest [not just the vicinity] and who will actually remove the nest after. Cost me $125 dollars before tax to do what I could have done myself. Not sure why this shows me in California- I live in Marion, IA.
