The rooms were spacious with a nice table and chair in the room, with a large ensuite all superbly decorated. Dinner and breakfast were served very smartly and at a reasonable price! My compliments to the chef for the menu, one of the best I've had in a hotel for ages! Beautiful place to stay!

Its a towerblock style hotel, and the entire building from rooms to reception is in need of a refurb. They claim there is parking, not this is actually about 10-15 spaces, which were all gone fairly early on in the evening. The staff then told people, including myself to park on the sideroad, as they have an agreement with someone. Needless to say, a few guests were not really happy about this at all. Altogether a rather unpleasant experience, and I wouldn't stay here again even for free.

She even kept the kitchen and bar open for us so we could catch drinks and food after the show we had just played. Bedrooms were basic but we were all barely in them. Just needed a shower and a bed for a couple hours. This place is perfect on a budget. Decent breakfast as well.

Two bars, they don't serve much variety and generally £3.50 a pint, not bad for the venue. My biggest complaint is too many tall people go and the atmosphere isn't usually very vibrant...I go to Portsmouth Guildhall and the people seem much more interested in the bands (and I can see over the top of them), its as though people in Southampton go to the wrong gigs?
