When it is possible to get an appointment, the staff is helpful and seems capable. Scheduling an appointment is a very different experience. After going through the phone tree to schedule a follow up MRI due to a possible problem in my spine, I was told the soonest appointment would be in 6-8 weeks because my pcp hadn't marked it urgent. I informed him and he resubmitted the urgent order yesterday. I tried to reschedule but was told I had to wait for the urgent scheduler to contact me. Still waiting. read more

I just went there this morning for a mammo and bone density. They practiced very safe covid protocols and I felt very safe and valued . I let them know Ii was on a time constraint and They made strong effort to get me out on time My technician was awesome Patient and gentle and explained everything . I have used Guilford radiology for everything over my 35 years in Ct and each year they improve the technology and customer service . I will Moss them when i move to florida next year read more

Our family has used Guilford Radiology for years for a variety of diagnostic scans. Today I had to go back for the dreaded repeat mammogram. I was treated with such compassion and professionalism by each and every person I met. I had good experiences with Guilford Radiology in 2019. I had a horrible experience with them in July 2020. When I scheduled my MRI, they didn't tell me that due to Covid-19 I had to wait in my vehicle until they called my cell phone. I waited at least 10 minutes in 90 degree temperatures, and I called them twice, each time being brushed off. It wasn't until I went off on them that they finally let me in the building. To add insult to injury, the tech doing the MRI told me she called both my phone numbers to let me know I could come in. I later checked both phones, and her call was not on either number, which means I got lied to on top of everything. If you make an appointment with them TELL THEM YOU WILL NOT WAIT IN YOUR VEHICLE and demand they respect you enough to let you in the building. If they can't respect your health, just leave. read more

Would leave 0 if I could but I was ordered to get an mri and I went and I was nervous since I never had one before and they weren't able to get a reading so I went back and they said I did fine and have me a copy of the cds to give to my doctor which I did and then he reviewed them and it said that they weren't able to get a reading because of movement. So they lied just to get me out of there, mind you they charged my insurance full price and won't let me try to get it completed and they won't refund the money. How do you charge someone and then lie and not get the mri done but charge full price? Horrible place don't go. read more

This was my first visit to Guilford Radiology and it was an excellent one! I was so impressed with the staff. Everyone I dealt with was so very pleasant yet professional! This started from the making of the appointment last week through my visit. Having tests can be stressful, but this group alleviated any stress for me with their excellent customer service!! Just had the worst experience in my life with the staff of guilford radiology. When I arrived there I had forgotten paperwork from my doctor requisitioning the mammogram the girl at the desk told me if my doctor would not fax it to them I would have to reschedule. I sat down to wait to see if I could get in that day or had to drive out there another day. This place is a little less than an hour from my house. I gladly gave the staff the okay to take the next appointments in while i waited. After about ten minutes the girl whose name was Helen told me they had gotten the fax and I would be able to get the mammogram done.I replied" okay". The girl then slammed the glass on her window shut and shouted "you're welcome " very loudly so that all of the other patients in the room could hear. I was mortified that this young receptionist found it necessary to correct my manners in front of everyone in the room. I approached the desk and told her how rude and unprofessional her behavior was and told her it was uncalled for. I asked to speak to her supervisor and shortly I was ushered in to speak to Sharon. I told Sharon what had happened and she said she would speak to Helen .however instead of apologizing to me Sharon chose to let me know how I had inconvenienced them by not bringing my paperwork and now caused them to be behind schedule,(although they had taken the next patient in at my scheduled time) I was really upset at how quickly this became my fault and the disrespectful attitude of Helen seemed to have been forgotten. I was really turned off by the treatment I received at guilford radiology and will never return there again. In response to the other review here let me state that I had never had to bring ANY requisition to this facility before and had been a patient there for at least seven years. This was a change of policy that I was unaware of or I would have been certain to bring my paperwork. Once reminded of this I remembered that my gynocologist did give me some paperwork but since this was the first time it was required that I bring it there myself I totally forgot about it. it had been at least a month earlier that I was given this requisition from another doctors office.I had honestly forgotten that it had even been given to me! (It had always been sent or faxed directly to the radiologists from my gynocologist before ) .I always bring my insurance cards and identification and had both with me the day of the incident. Having said that , the behavior of this particular receptionist was totally inexcusable and beyond rude. I don't know what kind of facility could justify publicly humiliating a patient for any reason. There really is no defense for the way I was treated. I received no apology from Helen or this facility to this day. I too work in an office where the clients are frequently unprepared. I would never admonish someone in front of an entire room full of people and my management staff would never condone an employee treating a client or customer the way I was treated. This incident could have been handled better by the supervisor there who should have insisted (or at least suggested) that Helen apologize to me face to face .i can only hope that some good comes from all of this and I hope that Helen has learned a lesson in how to treat her patients. Im sure she will keep such sarcastic remarks to herself from now on since she alone lost this facility a long time patient. I certainly hope the other reviewer here never has an experience like mine. I dont think that anyone would happy with such treatment by some smart mouthed teenaged receptionist. read more

I have been a patient of Guilford Radiology for many years and NEVER had a bad experience. I find the front office staff welcoming, always polite and friendly. The techs are equally professional and comforting. Because I also work in a medical office I understand the importance of coming to an appointment prepared and what a huge inconvenience it is to show up without insurance cards and other MD's orders. I also appreciate that they do not bill hospital rates like all Yale run medical offices. read more
