Writing for my husband. Terrible experience. Provided orders from urgent care & made an appointment. Booked appointment & they would not accept a fresh specimen. Without giving me the opportunity to retrieve sample, they threw it away. Was told to call for appt and return with sample in kit provided. Drive. Home, attempted to book Spot through app - no spots until MONDAY - searched from Guillford, local areas, West Haven to Mystic. Husband has cardiac history, dehydrated and cannot tell you how upset we are. Booked an appt with pcp - for Monday. Lack of care. Lack of staffing hours. Terrible. read more

Worst experience ever today. I was reprimanded for being a walk in and not making an appointment. I generally do, but my Dr instructed me to go asap and leave a urine sample. The check in system said there would be a wait and I was fine with that. The rudest technician came out (to the empty lobby) and lectured me on how busy they were. I completely understand and maybe there were other patients somewhere, however I wasn't there because I really wanted to be. I then followed her into the room and was again scolded for placing my water bottle on the counter (my mistake but it was the tone that was the issue). She was so angry, thankfully I didn't need a blood draw! I've had good experiences with this location in the past, maybe today the larger woman with the receding pink hair was just having a bad day. She might want to reconsider health care/customer service as a profession. read more

This Quest had an expansive waiting room. Helpful if you or your neighbor are coughing and sneezing away. The checkin process was easy. I recommend reserving your appointment online and putting in your insurance information etc. Even the there was only one tech there she was friendly, efficient, and thorough. Twice I have been turned away because I didn't make an appointment. This site 100% supposed to takes walk ins I had this verified by their own corporate office. I reported them and I reported them to my insurance company. They turned me away again today I feel they retaliating against me because I snitched on them turning me away. I live in this town. This is where I want to go to get my blood drawn. I find them unprofessional and I'm wondering if they're not paid enough to care about people's health .I'm gonna report them again and see what happens. read more

Due to strong covid issues in a place like this, I think they did their best. I always schedule an appointment, because walk-ins can be a nightmare. Therefore I think being able to schedulebis a great solution. I still had to wait about 10 minutes, but no big deal. The only issue I saw was a group of employees sent down to do random drug screening. No one is behind the glass in the office & staff were ignoring them except to say only 5 people allowed in the office at a time. I have autonomic disfunction and poly neuropathy in both legs, so I needed to sit. No one was going to give up their chair. I had to wait outside in the hot sun with no where to sit. They should really have chairs outside for people to rest. I saw an older gentleman standind/leaning on the pole for over 15 minutes. On the other hand, my phlebotomist was awesome, drew on the first stick and was sweet. I've seen her before. I wish I remembered her name so I could give her some credit. read more

I was delighted with the care and service at the Guilford location today. Almost no wait time in the morning without an appointment. The facility was clean and organized, the techs were all suited up with protective gear, I was in and out of there in 10 minutes! Thank you, Anthony! I'm glad I picked this location. The phlebotomists here are great! I had to bring in my 14 month old son for some blood work, and the tech that took his blood not only got him on the first try, but didn't even bruise him at all! I was really impressed, and would hands down recommend this location to anyone needing blood work for a small child! read more

Absolutely the most screwed up process for getting tests. Got there and you now need an appointment. But if you go online and click on an appointment time, it then will say that time is no longer available. Tried three days, all different times, same thing. Their website says the time is available, but it isn't. Spent 15 minutes wasting my time. Then tried calling, even worse experience. Going to use another testing service. read more

Have these people not heard of Covid precautions?? When my husband went to one in Guilford, CT in July, there were NO provisions for social distancing; their computers were down, and the waiting room was a crowded mob scene. Not to mention that there's no receptionist and you have to type in all your info on a screen already touched by countless people. Furthermore, the Guilford and Branford ones are kind of grubby and run-down - not confidence inspiring. I then went to one in a midstate hospital because it was much cleaner looking and at the time I was there, it was empty. It wsn't empty for long, however, and the waiting room was TINY, again with NO provision for distancing and with the requirement to use the computer screen. This is a medical facility??? I will say, however, that the phlebotomists at each place were cheerful and polite, in spite of what must be a difficult job with the mask and face shield, and one at the Branford office went out of her way to clear up a problem with my doctor's order. I take my hat off to them. Where I live, Quest is the only game in town, and I think they're taking full advantage of the situation. read more

The Quest Diagnostics Guilford location has a great phlebotomist I found, Jessica.Her technique is painless and quick and she is thorough. I have all lab tests at this facility and would definitely recommend others to this location. read more
