ALCOHOLIC CUPCAKES!!!!! It's like the universe was looking in on my life and created the perfect union of my guilty pleasures.* Peanut butter and jelly? For the kiddos. Chocolate and peanut butter? Ho hum. Booze and baked goods? Now you're talking! GP caught my eye with the frosting. Walking into the Encore Liquid Lounge (which sells a good its a$$ can't cash, but that's another thing), I was hypnotized by these strange blue cupcakes. Anyone who reads my reviews knows I can't resist anything colored blue, purple or red, so I had to know what was up. Imagine my surprise when I discovered by blue hypnosis was due to Hpnotiq cupcakes! You read that correctly: BLUE cupcakes made with and tasted like Hpnotiq. And, yes, you could get a buzz. Well, you know I had to have one. Or, 8. Tracey, the owner, is rightfully proud of her product and after we got to talking how I was going to be her new best friend/stalker, she made sure I left with a small box of the baked goods. Lest you think, however, that I am not klassy and only fall head over heels for blue treats, I'll have you know that I gorged on: cognac, amaretto, apple martini (GREEN with apple bits on the inside!), and strawberry margarita (keep me near the cross; these made me go on a mama-slapping rampage that was only quieted by passing out from the sheer rip-your-clothes-off goodness at eating a strawberry cake, topped with berry/tequila frosting and filled with boozy berries treat). Don't sit in judgement of me: you would have done the same thing.. and I might have been drunk from cupcakes (first time for everything!). I contacted Tracey (the owner) a year ago because i wanted soemthing different for my birthday dinner party She immediately scheduled a tasting for myself and 2 friends. These cupcakes are so good the only bad part about them is choosing a flavor!! I ended up ordering a few dozen of the minis and she even delivered them. Tracey is very helpful. She's been patient with me from beginning to end. I found her on yelp about a month ago and knew right away she would be the perfect person to go to for the dessert for my graduation dinner. First, my fiance and I did a tasting at her house. It was $10 and we shared everything we tasted. I loved how she welcomed us in and let us taste everything. I also found out she does (wedding) cakes!! Anyway, I ended up deciding on Strawberry Margarita, Hypnotic, Vanilla Vodka, Bailey's Chocolate and Caramel for my alcoholic cupcakes, and Eggnog and Red Velvet for the virgin cupcakes. Heard about this place from a living social deal. The owner tracey is very nice. i placed my order for delivery with no problems. There is a $10 delivery feel. The flavors of the cupcakes were good but i felt the cake was a bit dry. Maybe i like my cupcakes too moist. She is very creative and the cupcakes are nicely decorated. Just not sure i would order from here again. There was also a 4 hour delivery window. So I couldn't do anything as it came by the 3 and a half hour mark of the 4 hours. read more

Wow! That is all I can say about these cupcakes. I called Tracey on a Friday morning to talk about the possibility of making cupcakes for my daughters' bridal shower. A few hours later I had in my possession 5 dozen PERFECT cocktail cupcakes. They are a work of art and the TASTE, my gosh, it was like eating a cocktail. She prides herself on the initial "aroma", the "look" and the final "taste". THESE WERE HIT! The girls had fun figuring which cupcake was associated with what drink. Tracey was great to work with, very friendly, patient with my inability to decide about which flavors and how many to order. We also me her mother! What a wise, articulate women. She has such a unique product, perfect in every way! Tracey, you should be on the "Shark-Tank" show. I am sure everyone would be fighting over your product! This is the second time I ordered cupcakes. Once again, I was not disappointed. The cupcake itself is very tasty. Each has an appropriate amount of liquor. Not overwhelming and definitely not faint. I will order again for my special occasions or just because. Perfect for bridal showers, weddings and even birthdays. Very reasonably priced as well. It's a little disconcerting when yours and everyone's review that was negative is taken down from yelp for absolutely no reason. I know for a fact there was two other people who had similar experiences to mine and there reviews as well as mine were removed. So I will go ahead and write my review again. I purchased two Groupons for this place based on all the epic reviews on this site. I called a week ahead of when I would need the cupcakes and the woman chose a different date for me to pick up the cupcakes and limited me to 4 Flavors I could choose from. I asked if I could have them in 2 weeks instead of a week and she told me they were already booked. I'm not sure if I believed her, I had a feeling she just wanted me to use my groupon ASAP before the deadline started coming up and more people with groupons began contacting her. Despite all this, I was optimistic. I agreed to pick up the cupcakes on the day that worked for her (did not work well for me) and picked 3 out of the 4 Flavors she offered me: strawberry margarita, apple martini, and baileys chocolate and caramel. When I picked up the cupcakes, I could tell they had been frozen previously. I kind of thought that was strange since I would assume a normal bakery would give you fresh cupcakes/breads/etc. The 1 star rating is based purely on the cupcakes taste (not customer service): quite simply, the cupcakes were dry and bland. They were decorated beautifully (minus the withered strawberries on top of the strawberry margarita cupcakes which I am sure was from them being frozen for so long) however nedo one enjoyed their cupcakes. Not even a little. We ended up tossing them out. If I didn't get such a laugh watching my friends try to be polite about the cupcakes at first, I might have been embarrassed. However, we got quite the chuckle out of it. I can't help think that these cupcakes might have been decent if they were not old and placed in the freezer, but I guess I will never know. Moist and fresh and so surprisingly tasty the flavors were perfectly balanced. Tracey delivered an amazingly large variety of flavors. Tracey is so wonderful. She helped me arrange a surprise delivery of cupcakes to my husband while he was staying in Bolingbrook for work. She nicely hand-wrote a card with my message on it and it looked like she really took the time to make it look nice. The cupcakes were delivered on time to the hotel, without my husband seeing anything or being aware of anything before they were delivered to his door. Tried a sampling of mini cocktail cupcakes and still can't decide which was my favorite because they're all THAT good. I will be a repeat frequent customer for life!!!!! Although I didn't go with the venue I did call Tracey of Gulity Pleasurez and place an order. She was easy to communicate of the phone and very descriptive of each cupcake that she offers. The prices were reasonable, delivery was prompt and the display was awesome. The fact that name cards were added for guest read what they were eating before grabbing for the pretty one was an added bonus. Some cupcakes had more punch than opthers but Tracey did explain to me that would be the case. The mocktail cupcakes were a hit as well; very light and moist. My friend uses Tracy and referred me. I was very excited to order from her. I had a friends birthday so I thought this would be a perfect item to bring to the party! Well was I wrong! I ordered the cupcakes and had it set up for me to pick up at the Chicago location that was online. When I got to the bbq place they had no clue about it and said they weren't a location yet for pick up. I showed the lady working there my email conformation and she called right away. Tracy's husband said yeah he wasn't going to have them there. No one ever called me to let me know that the cupcakes weren't going to be delivered to the store!! I scheduled a 2:30 time and was there at 2:30. Funny thing is she called me the day prior to make sure that I was going to that location! I went to my car to call her, she ignored my call. I immediately called my friend who got in touch with her. She told her that she didn't even have all the flavors I wanted! How unprofessional! A call telling me this would have been nice. I wouldn't have had to drive out of my way, and I could have figured out something else. The cupcakes were delivered none of the flavors that I ordered. Not only are the flavors delicious, but the cupcakes are beautifully decorated. The owner/baker Tracey is beyond nice and responsive and super creative. If she doesn't have a flavor listed, it does NOT mean she can't do it for you. Her cupcakes really added something special to my birthday celebration. I knew when ordering it said mini-cupcakes but i guess i just didn't realize how small they would be. They are TINY. And for $2.50 a cupcake, so not worth it. I'm not sure what the hype is about - seriously! I've experienced much better service and better tasting cupcakes from a grocery store, unfortunately. I'll elaborate... To begin, the ordering process was a nightmare. Apparently, a customer is ONLY able to get cupcakes at the owner's convenience. I had a Groupon and attempted to follow the rule of placing an order of at least 72 hours in advance. I called on a Wednesday to place an order for the upcoming Saturday. The "order taker" (an older woman, who I found out later was not Tracey) promptly halted me by explaining that "they already have a lot of orders for Saturday". Ummmm, ok. I tried to ask if they were open Sunday, and again was stopped almost mid-sentence. She interrupted to tell me that "tomorrow would be better for THEM", even though my order was for pick-up, not delivery. I was caught off-guard, but nevertheless, foolishly continued the conversation. I then told her that I had a Groupon. "SIGHHHH" was the response I received. She flatly asked me to read the Groupon and tell her the Groupon number. I complied, but at that point felt that she was beyond annoyed. I told her that it didn't expire for a month and would be happy to place my order at a more CONVENIENT time. She pretty much shot down that idea as well by telling me that they'll be busy with orders for other people with the same Groupon trying to beat the expiration date. Alllllrighty...finally on with my (gulp) order. She asked what flavors I wanted. I asked what was available and wanted a description of each. She replied "haven't you been on the website?" I was literally speechless. I whispered no, but explained I'd take "whatever" at this point. So I ordered lemon drop, amaretto, and bailey's chocolate & caramel. She asked when I planned to serve the cupcakes. I told her Saturday and SHE decided for ME that my cupcakes would be frozen when I picked them up. I immediately told her that I'd rather have them fresh. Again, she felt that frozen would be better regardless of my preference as the customer. :-( Then, SHE arranged the pick up time. She asked what time would I be able to get there. I told her between 4:00-4:30. She told me that 5:00 would be better for them - why ask me then?!! Of course I agreed (out of fear) and showed up promptly at 5pm ON THURSDAY. I received my FROZEN cakes, along with defrosting & storage instructions. I followed both to the "T" and was LESS than impressed. Out of the 3 flavors, only the bailey's was barely edible. All were extremely dry and had an awful FREEZER taste...hmmm I wonder why?!! The frosting was cloyingly sweet & the unsavory FREEZER taste overpowered any hint of alcohol. They didn't taste fresh at all. I ended up trashing the rest - NINE cupcakes, to be exact. I'm all for supporting local businesses, but I expect an acceptable level of professionalism, outstanding customer service, and a superior product. Sorry, Tracey, you seemed like a nice lady (from our very brief interaction) but I will NOT return to your unprofessional "business". Good luck... read more

All of my adult siblings were in town for Christmas and we wanted to have a get together with all of our friends. I heard of Guilty Pleasurez via Yelp and Facebook reviews. Tracey is amazing! I called her and she had an assortment of cupcakes ready for me within 2 hours. I picked up my cupcakes from her house and she explained the flavors to me and gave me instructions to keep the cupcakes moist. The cupcakes were a hit with my siblings and our friends. I ordered 2 dozen cupcakes from here, because it was on Living Social. I have never tasted such dry cupcakes in my life. I drive all over the city and suburbs looking for the best, this was horrible. They could not fill my order because they said I did not give enough notice(2 weeks) how much time do you need?? They were having an event the same day so I had to take what ever they ordered to fill my order. Which was fine, the usual chocolate, vanilla, red velvet. The frosting on the cupcakes were hard and the dough was very very dry. I was choking on them . Decided to taste the red velvet same thing and no flavor at all.
