BUT Korthase was the only one that was honest in telling us that her current electrical actually looked pretty good (it must have been updated from when the house was built, but we had no way of knowing that) and given that she would not likely be in her home for all that much longer, they said in their assessment, a big upgrade was not necessary. This saved my mom 5k! Apparently, there ARE honest companies and Korthase appears to be one of them.

After 3 attempts, it finally worked. I called B & L to diagnose why my electric bills were so high (unrelated to the hot water heater). Brian not only diagnosed the problem (a setting on my whole house generator), he also discovered the other company's "fix" was to disconnect my fire alarm and use that line for my hot water heater! Brian fixed that quickly, and my home was again safe. They are my "go-to" company for anything electrical.

We hired VanderHyde to put in a 30 amp 120v service to hook up the camper we live in. They came and…read moredid the install, but put in a 240v instead of the 120v. This mistake costed me over $1000 to fix. I was reimbursed the initial payment of the installation, but not the two converters and the repair man that I had to have fix it. They took over 5 days to get the electric hooked up right. We have been without the camper heater since the first install. They refuse to reimburse any further. I would never hire them again. The company's morals are not for me.

When we called, we were told they didn't come because it was too hot to go in the attic (at 8 AM), and they were coming the following day, which they never cleared with us. When we said we would be going a different direction, the receptionist happily agreed. We have never experienced such incompetent and inconsiderate "service." Save your time, and look literally anywhere else for your project needs.
