Drum sets, none of which having thrones (or sticks) and none of which being set up at all.

This location is the reason I don't like Guitar Center. They're basically the Walmart of the music world, yet they have no regard for quality control. In all transparency, I only went into the drum section, as that's my only source of interest. This may be a fantastic guitar store, but for drummers, avoid this as though your life depends on it. Half of the kits didn't have thrones with them, most of the thrones weren't height-adjustable (which meant I'd have to drag their one good throne around to each kit to try them out, which felt pretty awkward socially), and they weren't set up properly. Like, half of the kits just didn't have hi hats and the ride cymbal would be resting on the second rack tom. It was just awful. Also, there was ONE pair of sticks in the entire display room, which I made the mistake of setting down for two minutes. A child (no older than six) got ahold of them and from there, they vanished. I saw one employee the entire time. She just said hi and walked away. She didn't tell me to play quieter (an experience I never thought I'd miss), she didn't ask how she could help, she wasn't even in there half the time. I easily could've stolen something and walked away unscathed (I didn't, but I shouldn't have that feeling) I went to the Guitar Center in Northridge and stayed there for so long that I felt obligated to make a "sorry for being a neusance" purchase (they had to tell me to quiet down at least twice). I was in here for ten minutes and I already wanted to leave.

Was looking for some new gear and decided to pop on in. I'm a newbie but the associate was very informative and made great recommendations. Picked up a little Squire amp and accessories and a better tuner. There's plenty of music stores in SF but Guitar Center seems to have some good deals.

I came in to get my electric repaired and purchase my first acoustic and big shout out to Ed! He was professional, informative and kind. Great customer service! This was a great experience after having a horrible one at the San Mateo location. I'll be shopping here moving forward. If you stop by, ask for Ed!

Yes... I spent over $2,000 on this alto saxophone (just for the instrument itself).

I bought my new Allora Paris Series Professional Alto Saxophone with a black nickel body and silver plated keys through Guitar Center and picked it up at this location in 2019. I tried to pick it up by driving to the store, but parking was insane, oh San Francisco... So what I ended up doing was taking BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) to downtown where I had a work function at LinkedIn. After the work function I walked to Guitar Center and picked up my order, then took a Lyft back to where I was living in East Bay. Finding the instrument I wanted online was straightforward, and the alto saxophone came with a handy travel case that has straps like a backpack so it is easy to carry. My purchase exceeded expectations on all levels, though some might say that is to be expected for a saxophone costing over $2,000 for the instrument itself. My expectations were tied to a rental alto saxophone I had earlier in life and the saxophone I purchased remains the nicest one I have seen to date. The in-store experience was straightforward and the workers were friendly and helpful. One even offered to help me carry my boxes to the Lyft car when it arrived.

    New case!

Drum floor was unorganized and messy. Cymbals were all pretty much the same. No full sets. Nothing fun.

He actually followed up with me right after my last update and offered to meet with me to take care of it but it took me a while to get over there so the delay was my fault. I also think in all fairness that I should have made one more attempt to let him resolve the situation as he offered to do before writing the last update, but I just didn't have time to deal with it. In any case I met with Joe today, he checked out the guitar, made some adjustments on how the strings were installed and told me if it didn't solve the problem he would take greater steps to do what it takes to make sure it's working properly, and I believe that if it's not resolved he will. He also reaffirmed my initial perception that he's a really good guy, and the guitar is the coolest travel guitar I've ever seen - If you want one that doesn't have tinny sound, can be easily stowed in airplane overhead compartments without worrying about damage, and can be easily carried around - this is your guitar.

I love Fender Telecasters!…read more I don't know if it's growing up listening to Springsteen with my dad, or that bright sound that only they bring to the table. I just know that I see them, and I like them. It's sort of the way I feel about cupcakes, but with cupcakes, it's a much stronger desire. Ever since I've been aware them, I've been looking for the perfect butterscotch Tele. I could buy a new one, but that just feel wrong. This guitar is all about history. I want one that looks and feels the part. The only problem is I don't have 20k+ sitting around. Enter Rock n Roll Relics. If you want a guitar that looks like it's been through the 80s with a hangover, but plays like you just bought it in 54, please look no further. I know guitar relics have gotten big and there are a bunch of custom shops putting them out right now. (Fender is even cracking them out at crazy prices to meet the trend. ) Unlike some creators, Billy is a guitar player in the true sense. He's been there so he knows what a guitar is supposed to look and sound like. He loves what he does and it shows in his work. Take a look. It's hard to get over how amazing his work is. To sum up like a research paper; his attention to detail is unparalleled and I want everyone to see his guitars in person. Please check out his site and if you're interested, give him an email or a call. I promise you will not be let down.

But, while dropping off a repair for Gary Brawer, I randomly picked up this tele and was *shocked* at how amazing it sounded. To set context, I have 25 guitars, including several vintage Fenders, Gibsons, Rickenbackers, from the '60s, along with a Bill Crook Custom Paisley, an MusicMan Albert Lee BFR, a Collings 360 Custom, and some early PRS and G&L models. I recently went back to college for another degree, this time in Music, so play guitar a couple of hours/day. Fast forward to today. . . I almost never play anything other than my Rock N Roll tele. It is sonically indistinguishable from $60K vintage telecasters. Every manufacturer wants to convince you that their relic'd guitars are comparable to the real thing, but this is truly the first guitar I have ever touched that is truly so. It looks, feels, plays, and sounds absolutely spot-on. I almost hesitate to write this review, as I know my next RnR will cost more, when everyone finds out about Billy Rowe, but he deserves the attention. His guitars are works of true genius, in a world of failed promises!
