My Uncle's partscaster Jeff fixed the wiring on, set up the Floyd Rose, added a string tree, cut the pickguard, and cleaned up beautifully.

I've been going to Bronstein since I was a teenager and they have always been great to me. Recently, I had a guitar of my Uncle's that was in need of repair and set up that was beyond my diy skills. Jeff took one look at it and seemed to know everything that needed to be done. He called me to keep me informed of all the work that it needed and the estimated price. He went above and beyond in addition to the work I requested and for a very reasonable price. My Uncle's guitar plays better than ever now and I would highly recommend Jeff and Bronstein for any guitar repair or set up one may be in need of.

Brought in an entry-level acoustic guitar and asked to get it cleaned up and re-strung. Jeff did an amazing job, when I picked it up I couldn't believe how nice it looked compared to before (it was sitting in a bedroom for years, not too much playing). The fretboard is so clean, the string action feels great, and the guitar is easily playable. I started learning guitar a few months ago and started learning on this guitar a friend leant me. Got my own now so I wanted to clean up theirs. This guitar is at least 10 years old.

You can turn in your new instrument by the end of the school year- mid-June 2017 - and pay the rental fee only.

#117/2016 We're lucky New Traditions' PTA has many dedicated parents working on fundraising events that allow the school to have a music program. That, of course, doesn't extend to our public elementary school having a lending library of instruments. That responsibility lies with the parents. With a list of stores advised not to be much help since all public schools quickly wipe out inventory, Yelp, baby. So motor to downtown South San Francisco to a lovely, longtime business, Bronstein Music, celebrating its 70th year in business. They explained their buyback program which allows you to rent an instrument or keep it at the end of the school year. They'll buy it back for the original price less $150 for a school year's rental. It's a good way for your kids to try something new with all the risk absorbed by Bronstein's. How can you not win? Actually, I won twice: I talked my child out of taking up the trumpet. There's just not enough Execdrin in the world for that, honey.

Took my 60s classic vibe tele, which i wanted a setup with new brass saddles and convert to lefty.. Also had intonation issues and a low E kept slippin off the fretboard. Jeff installed right handed saddles which i purchased incorrectly for a lefty conversion, he intonated the guitar, fixed the low e string, shaved the nut to how it should be.He went above & beyond & informed me of things I should consider, flip switch (if i wanted to) moved the stap knob which i never thought of but now HUGE diff! I just had to raise action to my liking and lower pickup height but that is jst to match my pref with my amp setup..Great Work Jeff!

Thank You Guitar Repair Man for fixing my 1st First Guitar. My brother gave it to me when I was 14. I have had it all these years and it was alittle beat up. A few parts had to be made to replace some that were cracked. I paid and excellent price. I was eying an Ovation Acoustic Electric capable guitar but it was sold by the time I came back to pick up my repair job. Excellent place for Brass, Woodwind and Hard-To-Find instruments. The music school is popular and busy. Easy parking.

The owners seem is the best teacher but they pick their student very selectively. Only the best will get into their schedule. Other's they don't care. I would never send my kid to music schools like that again. Will always get the individual teacher in the future. Amanda, My son got pass the ABRSM with distinction is mostly because of his hard-work. I want to add that your school and the teacher didn't informed us there will be a fourth song that needed to play during exam until a week before the actual exam. That being said. This shows how inexperience the teacher is and your school didn't bother to let us know as we have plan this months prior. My son only had a week to practice a bring new song before the exam and that really stress out the entire family and fortunately our son pulled it off. Again. All you care is fulfilling your teacher's schedule over the independent students growth as you have many students with many teachers who sometimes comes and go fairly quickly. I am not saying you don't care about your students but we feel we didn't get enough attention as we feel independent teacher would be a much better choice for parents who wants more growth for their kids in time.

Angeline has a rare ability to meet students exactly where they are. She never made me feel like a novelty or an exception, just a student with work to do and the capacity to do it. Her instruction is structured and clear, with genuine attention to technique, but she also knows when to slow down and rebuild a foundation rather than just push forward. What I didn't expect was how encouraged I'd feel. Adult learners carry a different kind of self-consciousness, and Angeline seems to understand that without it ever needing to be said. Progress felt real and earned, not artificially inflated. Waiting for my lessons, I've also watched her work with younger students. She's patient, engaging, and clearly knows how to hold a kid's attention without losing the substance of the instruction. She's genuinely good with all ages. She also holds recitals for her students, which I think says a lot about how seriously she takes their development. I'm not there yet, but making it onto that stage one day is something I'm actually working toward now, and that's not something I would have said before studying with her. If you're on the fence about picking up the violin, whether you're an adult who thinks it's too late or a parent looking for the right fit for your kid, Angeline is the answer. Hands down the best teacher you'll find.

From the beginning, Angeline places a strong emphasis on building a great technical foundation, especially developing a beautiful and controlled bow hand. These are the kinds of skills that set her students apart and elevate their playing to a higher level. Angeline holds her students to very high standards, but she does so with care, intention, and a deep commitment to each child's growth. In fact, my daughter had to relearn how to bow for almost a year; however, the time and effort was worth it. Angeline knows exactly how to challenge her students to reach their fullest potential while providing the structure, clarity, and encouragement they need to succeed. The progress and growth we've seen in our daughter the past two years has been remarkable. She has grown not only in technical ability and tone, but also in confidence, discipline, and musical expression. It's clear that Angeline's thoughtful, detail-oriented approach brings out the best in her students. If you're looking for a teacher who is deeply committed to excellence, meticulous, and genuinely brings out the best in her students, we couldn't recommend Angeline more.

We made an appointment to come in and Ulysses helped us out. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and helped us through the process. He didn't rush us or pressure us to buy a piano, and he was patient in answering all our questions. We went home that same day to think about which piano we wanted to get and returned a week later to purchase a Yamaha upright piano. Overall, it was a great experience and we now have a beautiful piano!

Update: Gary responded to this review... and then deleted his response a day later…read more After reading it, I actually understand and respect the appointment-only business model. If customers want a private showroom experience, that's completely reasonable. Plenty of luxury businesses operate that way. The problem was never the appointment policy. The problem was how a potential customer was treated. I live next door and have been curious about this store for a long time. I finally saw you at the business and thought I'd ask about purchasing a piano. Instead of a simple, "We're appointment-only, but here's my card--I'd be happy to schedule you," I was dismissed while you waited for your DoorDash order. As someone who works in marketing and customer experience, this felt like a textbook example of turning a warm lead into a lost customer. Your original response then spent paragraphs explaining why I shouldn't have expected service, but not one sentence expressing regret that a genuinely interested buyer walked away with a bad experience. That said, I'm adjusting this to a 2-star rating because I did see some effort to acknowledge my post, even if it ultimately fell short. Businesses don't earn loyal customers by proving they're technically correct. They earn them by making people feel welcome. A 30-second conversation could have turned me into a customer. Instead, it turned me into someone who will be buying a piano elsewhere. If you already have an appointment, I'm sure the experience may be perfectly fine. But if you're hoping to stop in, ask a question, or get a feel for the place before committing, don't expect much hospitality. That's ultimately why I'm leaving this review--not because the business is appointment-only, but because customer service begins long before the appointment ever does.
