I see some recent mixed reviews and think I know why, as I recently had a disappointing experience. I went twice in the past ~month. Kota and his coworkers helped and walked through all the details and was a great help. The second visit made me decide to drop GC. One of the complaints concerned military discount. Heather not only got it fixed but did the same for our previous trip. I hadn't mentioned it as I didn't know there was one, so it was all her doing the right thing. The rest of the concerns I'll just address by making sure Kota is there before I make the drive. Customer service has eroded to a large degree in recent years. Heather and Kota made a huge difference. Some people are helpful and care about their jobs. I am new to some instruments and it helps to have insightful input from those who play. Without customer service, I could get just the products online. If I can do this without help, I'd save myself the drive. As of this weekend, I am trying to figure out how to fit lessons in my schedule. If you had a negative experience, try again. It may help to give a second chance sometimes, so you don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. ;-) read more

Everyone that works in there has no clue on guitars bass and drums. No matter what base or guitar I picked up to play it seemed like everything was set up out of whack. How are you supposed to sell instruments when the instruments are not set up properly. I spoke to their guitar attack, and this guy had not a single clue about what I was talking about intonation adjusting Bridges. These are the basic things that you need to know when you work at a guitar store, I was appalled by this. What they need to do is hire people who have true knowledge of instruments instead of a bunch of people and they're just messing with their phones when there's customers that need help I'll never buy nothing from the store I would rate it a zero If you want your guitar set up in properly, take it there read more

Has finally gotten back up to about normal capacity on stock. Workers seem to care, and are normally very helpful.

Horrible customer service!!! I went to the Youree Dr Guitar Center looking for a quality digital piano and shopped for about 30-45 minutes. The entire time I was there the customer service representatives stood behind the counter chatting amongst themselves. Not once did one of them bother to ask if I needed help or information about any of the merchandise. I may as well have been a dust bunny on the filthy carpet. If this is what goes for customer service in your store I am much better off ordering merchandise from one of many of your competitors. read more

This is freakin' awesome! We are finally getting a Guitar Center here in Shreveport! They will have all of your musical instrument needs and offer lessons as well as a recording studio here at this location! Grand opening for this store is Thursday, February 21st from 7pm to 11pm! First visit to this store, great service/staff. I was looking for a new guitar to play while visiting in town. Greeted by Jason who was helpful in showing me what new gear they have. Had a great conversation with Edwin who is very knowledgeable with the gear. Before I new I had found the perfect guitar for my needs. A big thanks to Levi who helped with overall experience at Guitar Center. Would definitely recommend these guys, and I will return every time I'm in town. For years I shopped at a local business. When they shut down the only place left I'd shop at was guitar center only because Nate Hale worked there. The big chain store was never my thing. Nate makes it feel like the Mom and pop store I became a musician in. He's always done his best to get me what I need at a great price. Always been a stand up guy very honest respectful and eager to see you happy. 6 stars if it were an option. Don't let the big store name get you. There's hometown guys and gals there. read more
