He truly cares about every individual as though they were his own family. His demeanor is welcoming, gentle, patient, and friendly. Even though his schedule is always booked, he has never once made any of us feel like he needs to hurry through. Dr. Roman gives each of us the time to feel heard and seen completely as a patient, making you feel like his only one. His work is very well done and seamless (he's filled a couple cavities on my boys, and a fixed a broken tooth on me). He's even exceptional in accommodating you quickly if you have a dental emergency. Dr. Roman's staff is also the best! They all have the most hospitable and friendly hearts, making you feel so welcome the moment you walk through the door. Their waiting room even offers the feel of peace and comfort, never packed full of others waiting to be called. All of this is by design by a doctor who seems to really know how to help his patients feel at ease throughout their whole visit, from beginning to end. However, my personal experience with the dental hygienist at my very first visit is that she was extremely aggressive. I honestly felt like I was a toilet bowl she was scrubbing the inside of when it came to the tooth polishing process - it was literally comical! I had toothpaste and water all over my face. This is not normal folks! Not to mention how painful the actual cleaning was. She did not use a manual scraping tool but rather an electronic water pick type tool which she was so aggressive with. After I came home my entire mouth was hurting for hours. I brush twice a day and floss every night. I have had nothing but excellent cleanings. But this lady said I had deep pockets that needed to be cleaned. In the past when I have had to have deep cleaning they would anesthetize you...this was not done. She just dug right on in there with her electric cattle prod instrument! So needless to say I will NOT be going back.

Overall, the office staff was friendly, and the care I received was fine. I had a cleaning and a…read moremolar crown put in. The cleaning was as good as anywhere else. The crown was okay. Not super thrilled with the quality (after a few months, it still doesn't feel "natural" like some of the better crowns I've had), but functionally it gets the job done. My big gripe here is with their billing and their inability or willingness to hold themselves accountable for unacceptable billing practices. They gave me a "good faith estimate" on my crown that I paid up front, having already had all of my insurance information, but apparently quoted me as though I were in-network when they knew I was not (their words). I agreed to the work thinking it would cost around $900. (Paid in advance of service.) A few weeks after my crown, I got a bill for over $800. Turns out I was NOT in-network. When I discovered this and confronted the office manager with the information, I just received excuses: "it's not our fault you didn't know you were out-of-network", "we only gave you an estimate", "we made no mistakes", etc. Clearly mistakes were made. I was billed nearly double what they said it would cost when I agreed to the service and they refused to take any accountability. I would obviously have shopped around before agreeing to almost double that initial quote if I had known in advance it would be that expensive. After my initial discussion with the office manager, I was told she would call back about my proposed resolution. I've called back twice since, and have not been able to get ahold of her. This has ultimately led to me filing a complaint with the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance. Will update this review with a resolution.

From the moment I walked in, the front desk person was super helpful and very cheerful. I didn't have to wait long at all. I'm just sad I can't remember everyone's names. The hygienist was so very nice and really made me feel comfortable. I shake a little and she didn't make me feel weird about it at all. She had great conversations, which took my mind off being nervous and it helped so much. Also she was super knowledgeable and explained everything each step of the way in depth. I also really loved the doctor. He Just had an ease about him and explained everything with no judgement. And Answered all my questions. I even thought the girls as I was checking out were super friendly and seemed actually happy to be at their job. Nowadays that's very rare. Again overall awesome experience. I will absolutely be suggesting to others. Thank you guys!

I was told I desperately needed a mouth gaurd (or invisalign or potentially both) from this office, but after changing dentists, the new one didn't even mention needing one. I brought the subject up and he said he could make one for me at almost a fifth of the cost or even recommend some of the better over-the-counter options. Additionally, Dr. Watson's office doesn't honor requests to see the same hygenist for a cleaning. I rescheduled twice because I wanted to see a specific hygenist, showed up to the appointment, and you guessed it, they didn't have me with the requested hygenist. Not a big deal, but when they went on to say they never would have scheduled this date and time with the hygenist I requested, I decided my time with them was over. Please do not blame long-time patients for your office's mistake. No one apologized. Now they've apparently "lost" my previous x-rays for the new doctor to compare an issue to. Wow. my entire dental history is in one office and there are no images? Unfortunate. On the upside, my new dentist and his office are wonderful.

I have been going to this dentist once I moved to Nashville back in 2023, I was very skeptical…read morebecause I have gone to the same dentist since I was 13 (I'm 25 now) and before that dentist I always hated going because they try to upsell you on everything that you do not need. I go in and get a cleaning and the first thing they tell me is I need to get veneers for $1,000 a tooth! I have never once in my life since going to a dentist ever been recommended to get veneers ever! Then after about a year I get told I have a 2 potential cavities (I haven't had a cavity since I was 15). I wait another 6 months go back in for my cleaning and get told I don't have any cavities however, they look back at the reports from 6 months ago and the notes say I have a cavity so I have a cavity that needs to get filled??? I'm also informed that I have been grinding my teeth and that my only options are a $550 mouth guard or to get veneers for $1,000 a tooth. Of course I opt in to get the mouth guard, while it's being made I go to two other dentist in the area to get a consultation, not only are they shocked that I was recommended veneers but they are shocked by the $500 overpriced mouth guard. They offered me a $100 mouth guard from the same company, isn't that crazy? If you are rich and have unlimited money this dentist would love you, I unfortunately do not. I have really good insurance for a reason but insurance doesn't cover the things they recommend. If you are looking for a family friendly dentist that is not trying to upsell you and get you to pull your card out stay VERY clear from here!
