I went to get my card in the afternoon as I had to get to work that morning. It took the guy two seconds to get my card... meaning it was sitting on a desk alllll day with NO SECURITY!! I expected it to be locked in a safe. I was very uncomfortable and canceled my card after all that. :( The employee should have called the manager in the morning or get it fixed, my card should have been locked in a safe and secure place.

A quick Google Maps search of "gas prices near me" (beats the bejesus out of that useless adware-bloated "Gas Buddy" app, btw) is what led me to this place...and to quote Arnie in his prime: "I'll be baaaaaaaaaaaaaack!" :) Seriously, this was a nice find. I do come out to this side of town a few times a week and this place saves me a long drive through traffic to find similarly low priced gas from places like A.L. Prime in Woburn (down the freeway from BJ's), and is convenient to the Market Basket and Costco in Waltham as well, both locations of which are also much easier to get to without the horrible traffic snarls of Everett, Chelsea, Somerville, etc. Their only con is not being open 24hrs like the aforementioned AL Prime, and not being too bright/clean/big inside but you can't have everything, and outside of some dire emergency, I'd never buy anything from a gas station except gas anyhow.

However instead of taking the VISA card from my wallet, I mistakenly took the American Express card! OK, I filled my tank and was charged $ 32.15 and the gas pump issued a receipt for that amount. Upon arriving home, back in NY 6/26/25, I looked at my American Express card statement online and see that East Coast Gas charged me $ 100.00. OK, I can understand a penalty, but an extra $ 67.85!!!!! I looked for East Coast Gas online and finally saw a site with a phone number listed for it - 617-926-4325. I called that number several times and each time was told - "Your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please check the number and dial again." I guess East Coast Gas does not want any phone calls. There's a gas station down the street that is also full service and a few cents cheaper but their service is nothing like here. They wash your windows while pumping your gas. They are friendly, polite. Once I went to fill my tires and the guy came out and did it for me. I didn't even ask or think about it. They are all just good employees. I have never waited too long there. Quick service. They have good gas too because it doesn't burn fast.

And I wouldn´t have EVER stopped here in a million years if I hadn´t been in the area and didn´t need to use my Stop&Shop points, which are valid to use at any Stop&Shop station (the closest to here being in Brookline, which I was NOT willing to go all the way to), or any Shell. As there are 3 Shell stations in Waltham (2 on Main St and one on Waverly Oak Rd), I found the closest one to The Chateau, where I was ultimately going to as well as some other stops throughout the City of Waltham, and decided this location, close to Watertown was the best. The only complain I have about this gas station is the access points. Driving from Route 20 West, it is difficult to enter and only accessible by turning left at the following traffic light and turning left into the small entrance, which is normally bombarded by cars. Exiting is much easier (onto either Warren Street or Barbara Rd). Service inside is friendly and understandable (not people who can´t speak English!). Prices are good and even better if you use your Stop&Shop card. In comparison to other reviews for the other station, this one is MUCH better. 5 stars.
