So I have waited to write this review because I was gathering intel. I just moved to Belmont and was trying to find a good local gas station that I can stick to (cause I am loyal to certain things). There's a gas station down the street that is also full service and a few cents cheaper but their service is nothing like here. They wash your windows while pumping your gas. They are friendly, polite. Once I went to fill my tires and the guy came out and did it for me. I didn't even ask or think about it. They are all just good employees. I have never waited too long there. Quick service. They have good gas too because it doesn't burn fast. read more

They pump the gas so they can overcharge you! Put in 1/2 tank of 18.5 gal. car and was charged $45!!! Oh, did they assume premium at $4 a gal. and not regular for a 2010 Honda??? SHAME ON THEM! read more

Outstanding service station. Trustworthy and professional!

What I love most about Cushing Square Service Station is that they offer consistency. The price of gas is always low. It is 2.47 right now and it has been that way for months. Defiantly the cheapest gas within the surrounding areas. The workers pump your gas for you, which offers a luxury in our cold New England winters. There is no hidden expensive for their service either. Oil and filter change is only $25. Yeah, crazy cheap. Staff are very nice and extremely helpful. I've never had complaints. The lot is pretty small and cars can pile up in the summer, but it goes pretty fast. read more

Just had a great conversation about dogs with the pump attendant, since mine was in the backseat of my car and he asked her name and reached in the window to pat her. So very rarely are my gas station stops anything other than an annoyance, but this one was genuinely enjoyable. Thanks, gas station dude with the two huskies! Oh, and this place regularly has the cheapest gas anywhere around, with no surcharge for using a credit card. read more

Cheapest Gas but awkward to enter.. The gas station 200 feet away is .10 cents per gallon more.. There's a LAW in Belmont that you can't pump your own gas so while nice, it's not unusual. Construction ongoing nearby through? 2020? Power Plus down the road is also cheap and they just finished a rehab. read more

I blew a tire at 4:30 pm today in Cushing sq. I walked over and asked these guys for help. They helped immediately, fixed the tire quickly, offered me fruit to eat while waiting, then charged me a very reasonable price. Thank you!!! read more

Eric is a longtime owner and mechanic at this station . He always greets customers and gives great service to all. There are many times he has gone the extra mile in accommodating me and friends or family. In appreciation of his fine work and trustworthiness, I highly recommend that you use this station frequently, it is worth a lot more than a few cents a gallon to have a gas station to rely on. read more

I had an appt for an inspection and the mechanic didn't show up at the appt time. Waited 20 minutes then had to take it somewhere else

Full disclosure: It's been 5+ years since I've visited this service station. I write this review based on growing up nearby and having this shop be our trusted service station for 24 years. This location was originally a Mobil station run by a great man (whose name I forget!) but it was later purchased by one of his employees, Eric, who I believe runs it to this day. Eric and Rick are the two mechanics whose names I remember. It's a small, independent shop, so their gas prices are just a little higher and regular service takes a little longer than any of those big-name shops. But if you're looking for a trust-worthy, thorough, pressure-free place to have your car serviced, I can't recommend this place highly enough. Even after I went off to college, I used to call the shop to speak with Eric and get his opinion when I needed service in the area close to my school. For a few years after moving out of the area, my mother still drove 25+ miles to Cushing Square Service Center when she needed oil changes and winterizing. Go :) They're great. read more

Never in my life have I had such unwarranted, terrible treatment. I pulled into this service station yesterday during the blizzard and the man that spoke to me was not kind. Any good business owner should know that just a small amount of kindness can go a long way. Any auto repair shop owner/employee should know that a crying woman struggling with a car issue could probably use your help. It's a shame that this repair shop seems to disagree with me. I pulled into the station yesterday because I had zero visibility out my windshield. While stopping at the light in front of this shop the snow on top of my car slid in front of my windshield completely obstructing my view. Thankfully a nice truck driver stopped two lanes of traffic so I could pull into the service station. Somehow the snow managed to scratch part of my windshield as well. Frustrated, I started crying. I stopped my car in front of one of the four pumps at the station and got out to scoop off the snow. Before I could clear off 1/4 of my windshield, a man stepped out of the shop. I thought he was going to see if I wanted gas, or maybe a little help, since I was struggling, but no. The man yelled over to me that he had been working hard to keep his lot shoveled all day. I glanced at the ground where I had been putting the snow from my windshield. I was confused by the statement so I laughed nervously and explained what had happened. In the moment, didn't understand why he was upset...it was still snowing really hard! He responded by saying I should have cleaned the roof of my car better. I agreed and apologized for brushing snow off my car onto his lot. I told the man how sorry I was and that I wouldn't have been doing it if it werent an emergency. He replied by saying how much he had to shovel today and wanted to know 'whats wrong with me'? I know how hard small business owners work on any day of the week...if this guy was also shoveling his whole lot by hand, he had every right to be upset. It was a big lot and it was pretty well shoveled considering the weather! I immediately felt worse in the realization of what I was doing and asked if I could finish clearing off my windshield and borrow a shovel to clean up the mess. I didn't get a chance to say so, but I also needed gas, wiper fluid, and someone to tell me if my windshield was cracked or just scratched. The man informed me that he did not have (or was not willing to give me) a shovel and that I needed to take what I was doing to a side street or my own driveway...I wanted to tell him my wipers weren't functional and that I couldn't see well enough to drive into a busy street in what were already bad conditions, but this man was upset and I didn't want to make matters worse. He was staring me down waiting for me to return to my vehicle anyway and I was very uncomfortable. Maybe this guy was having a rough day, or maybe I don't fully understand how I wronged this guy. I do know that I would have gladly re-shoveled for him and supported his business had he not been so rude. Go somewhere else. I'm sure there are plenty of other shops that'd gladly help a girl in distress! read more

Eric is the best. He's honest, reliable, fast and an all around great guy. The ONLY place I will bring my car.
